4 years ago I brought a full recone kit for a JBL D130..
The funny thing, when open the package and looked through all parts, there was toilet raped around the dust cap. 😂
Don't get me wrong, all was perfectly packed and usable.. great!! 👍 One of the best recone kits ever!!!

I just bought a repair kit for my 10w6v2 d4 and saw this video after watching the one for my speaker. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video, even tho I am not in need of it, and I learned everything that I wondered about speakers when I was a teenager.
Thank you filling a need that I did not know that I was missing. Very Satisfying.

@@simplyspeakers what's also VERY will done (that is easily overlooked) is the guy on the camera, obviously a professional, which is very rare, most instructional vids have the info but it's not well captured by the video so it's hard to see what's really going on, undermining the very reason for the vid. Refreshing to see this level of professionalism.

Excellent communicator! I have watched this demonstration numerous times . . . not only informative, well-instructed, and clear, but the repetition of watching a video multiple times clarifies all questions one may have, plus the repetition reenforces the steps in one's memory thus making the process much easier. One nice thing also is the reference this video provides as one progresses along in actually performing the speaker rebuild. Nice job!

I remember doing this recone job 40 years ago on a 12 inch speaker I was using to play guitar. You know, playing guitar at high volume and bass is the easiest way to damage the voice coil ! Use of shim to place voice coil accurately -- this the new lesson I learned from this video.

Wow..this is how an artist rebuilds a classic driver! Notice all the different adhesives that were used as opposed to how some cheap rebuild kits provide one or two glues for the entire job. Best full rebuild I have seen to date. My only critique is that I would have brushed on some liquid flux to all terminals and wire prior to soldering. The artist clearly used flux core solder so it flowed nicely. Great job...all my future speaker rebuild kits will be provided by simplyspeakers.

You can read "how to" instructions all day long on how to recone speakers, and I gaurantee, you wont get all the info that this video presented. You guys really did a great job on this. I was sketchy about the possibility of reconing my own 15" drivers before, and I have two 2220's , an E140, and an RCF 12" out of my EAW subs that all need attention, and after watching this, I'm going to do just fine. No Carlos mi compadre de Venezuela!! Its the time he takes talking, that gets you all those petty details down 'pat, and that make the difference between Knowing you are doing it Right, and chancing doing it Wrong. The cone for my project was a hundred bucks, and that's a bit much for me to chance going wrong, in my book. My EAW branded RCF twelve inch subwoofer driver came out GREAT, and I've got these guys to thank for it. I bought the cone at another vendor, and the adhesives from Simply Speakers, and ya know, they Still emailed me helpful info on my project to make it come out PERFECT....That's customer service!, and too many business' DON'T care, but these guys sure do. All my future cones--I'm going to check Simply Speakers First!
