Us daily watchers enjoy everything she brings us. I hope they continue to bring us the content they have created to help us, and inspire us. And I feel the reason they are showing the warehouse is because people asked about it as well as people want to see not only gardening but know more about their lives. Merry Christmas! FAUX PAINT , TROMPE- 'LOEIL THE PANEL ON THE HARTLEY! I am a retired faux finisher. I have painted faux brick to match real brick. People had to go up and touch it to see it wasn't real. It is totally doable and inexpensive. The panel will visually disappear into the real brick. Hire a professional decorative painter to do it. They should do a mock up on board first. This way they can work out the colors and you can approve it before they start. You won't regret it. A good pro can match brick, marble, stone,wood, etc, perfectly. This would be so much easier than moving it.

My first comment…I had a thought about your power box on the Hartley. It seems like you could take a picture of the brick and have a vinyl wrap made to match. Our historic neighborhood has been covering electrical boxes with old scenes from our neighborhood’s past. It runs like $15 a square foot. Just a thought before you pay to move them. I’m one of those people who do not like to see the cords or wires too!! Hope you have a happy holiday. Thank you for all you do. I’m so glad I found your content. It all started with drip irrigation search for my porch!! Zone 8b and plants could never get enough water!! It grew from there. Now people think I’m this great gardener…. Haha!!

36:42 I’m so sorry if this feels weird or too personal but you might look into perimenopause symptoms as an explanation for insomnia. I struggled for a couple years until my endocrinologist mentioned it and prescribed luteal phase microprogesterone and the sleep I’ve since gotten has been so amazing - and btw insomnia was really the only symptom I had (so far lol) since it seems I’m easing into this new phase of life relatively slowly and gently, so I’m definitely grateful for that 😂 but the earlier you can effectively manage hormone replacement therapy the better it is for your long term brain and body health. Just a thought for ya because it was such a blessing for me to finally solve the issues so I can’t help but preach it to my fellow women 😉
One of my thoughts too as well as taking magnesium at bedtime. I would also check to see if you need orthotics(sorry😂) All personal experience for the same symptoms!

I push that buggy pretty aggressively, slowing only for kids and elderly, and amazingly people just move out of my way like Moses parting the Red Sea… bwahahaha Mom calls it my Walmart attitude - “honey, today we’re going to need to get through this mall with your Walmart attitude!” I’m like, go up front and sit at Subway if you want to chat with another shopper in the middle of the aisle, I’m here to shop - I mean, it’s a store! And the folks talking freely and loudly about really personal matters as they mosey along… arrrgh

When you were talking about people criticizing you knife skills, let me just put in my own opinion. I have worked in professional kitchens, even high end restaurants and resorts. I don’t cut my vegies by the book, professionally speaking. No one ever got on my case about it. I say, the way you have learned, gotten used to, and have the muscle memory for, you should stick with. Because at this point, trying to relearn the “proper” way is more dangerous. I watch an older lady’s cooking channel and she slices her fruits and veg by holding it in her hand. (Probably grew up in an old farm kitchen without countertops.). You do you, Laura. It’s fine!

Im a long time subscriber and avid gardener and im very thankful for your store and the ease of using the site. I love when laura explains how to use a product and we can easily get it to help us at home. Negative nellies are not real or authentic and can just keep it moving. So many of us are so greatful to the store and explains ions
Hearing you describe your restless leg/nerve energy was exactly what I had been experiencing. I started to take magnesium glycocate every night before bed. It’s been a life changer. I fall asleep easily and sleep through the night. It’s decreased my anxiety levels as well.
@@joannam369 yes be sure you do your research because not all brands are clean. Nothing from China! I just picked up one from a brand called Ocean for my son, but it was expensive. He has ADHD and his physician recommended he take a magnesium supplement.
I, for one, love that you have a store. It makes sense when you have talked about products for years that we have a place we can purchase them. In my perfect world, you would have a warehouse in Canada so I could just order everything.
For the restless leg, you need to add Magnesium glycinate to your daily supplement regime, women should have 400mg a day - I have experienced what you described and this is what I was told I needed and it has help so much - Merry Christmas

Many of us need all the teaching/examples and reminding we can get and I NEVER feel like I wont ever reach YOUR level...I am just always encouraged. You are a great example of acknowledging that living life is not something one does perfectly. DOing the best I can, and moving on when something does not work and that is ok has been something you example over and over. Will I ever do as well as you do things? Maybe not, and I certainly will not have the opportunities you have made, or were offered ..but that does not mean my little garden can not look as lovely and feed my soul as well! Thank you so much. Just a lesson on jerking muscles my iron levels and also the (starts with F) stuff that carries the iron was very low and was causing restless leg jerking at night. I got a prescription for iron (extra iron helps increase the F stuff) and within a few days I slept better and the jerking stopped. I start to feel it now and just take iron for a few days and it goes away. I hope this is helpful. Absolutely love everything about your channel, garden care, plants, taking care of home and family. I feel I wake up happy knowing I can watch Garden Answer early and watch you share your lovely family and knowledge and lift my spirit for the day!! I pray God blesses your marriage and keeps it fun and strong.

Russell is becoming an old man. As years go on he may just want to lay someplace warm, without damp and cozy (maybe somebodies bed). We all want comfort as we age don’t we? Don't focus on nor give power to the negative commenters by discussing them. If the comment is constructive critism then by all means, but let the rest go. It's not worth your time and personally I watch you because of the gardening, crafts, family, etc and don't want the unnecessary negatives to come up during your video recap. If people leave because you are selling stuff in your store, let them. You are keeping it to a minimum and not flogging it and we appreciate it. Even I have ordered xmas lights and want one of those handy little rakes. You both are doing a great job and if people don't want to buy anything they won't. Personally, I love seeing the variation in videos with a variety of planting projects, family things & warehouse & garden tours. It keeps it interesting and keeps your presentation relatable .... thank you for all your hard work, I cannot imagine how much time videos must consume of your day (week)..... I've found harder to get together as families grow and move around. As the senior family members pass, it's difficult! I lost my husband last year, and I'm trying to keep some of the things he loved going! This year my youngest brother is arranging a family gathering, and I'm so excited for it! I just wish shoppers would put their carts to the side of the aisle. WHY IN THE MIDDLE! Then they tends to throw attitude if you ask them to move. Yesterday I waited a good 5 minutes while a guy tried to get the lottery machine to read his ticket. Even after he realized I was waiting he didn't take a moment to step aside.

Also, I do not understand why some people are offended by your store. You do not push it and you only mention it when it makes sense. Well, Laura, you save a lot of money shopping for groceries the way you do. No impulse buys. No wasted time. I applaud you. I also have always enjoyed black coffee from age 15 on.
After years of battling 'restless legs' and general anxiety at night (only at night) my friend took the advice of an old physician. The antidote to twitchy muscles and mild anxiety in the evenings was to introduce lactic acid to your muscles. She runs stairs! Just anything that really stresses one's leg muscles. A stationary bike, under desk leg peddler, walking up steep hills also work. In my friend's case, she just climbs her home's main staircase multiple times, slowly but steadily, until her legs are just worn out. It works for her.
Erin the Impatient Gardener loves the Hoselink solar lights. It would be interesting to see if they would work in some strategic spots on your property.

I have learned so much about gardening and the different varieties of plants and it inspired me to change the plants in my flower gardens. I live in a mobile home park and my lot was just dirt and crabgrass when I first moved in. After 30 years I now have 7 flower gardens containing hydrangeas, azaleas, butterfly bushes and various plants Laura and Aaron have used in their yard.
Laura I am so happy for you that you've beat aspartame's hold on you, the sleep challenges can be the result of letting it go, it will pass. In the mean time from personal experience I find topical magnesium on your feet at bedtime is a big help as well as melatonin, this helped me through difficult times. Wishing you happy dreams !
I watched all three of the Warehouse videos and you were not pushing sales at all! You usually only the store if someone asks where they can purchase a product they use or if there is a sale. Having a store available to get that item is so handy and beneficial to someone looking to purchase it. Don’t change a thing Laura and Aaron.

I actually like seeing behind the scenes at the warehouse from time to time.
My first comment…I had a thought about your power box on the Hartley. It seems like you could take a picture of the brick and have a vinyl wrap made to match. Our historic neighborhood has been covering electrical boxes with old scenes from our neighborhood’s past. It runs like $15 a square foot. Just a thought before you pay to move them. I’m one of those people who do not like to see the cords or wires too!! Hope you have a happy holiday. Thank you for all you do. I’m so glad I found your content. It all started with drip irrigation search for my porch!! Zone 8b and plants could never get enough water!! It grew from there. Now people think I’m this great gardener…. Haha!!

36:42 I’m so sorry if this feels weird or too personal but you might look into perimenopause symptoms as an explanation for insomnia. I struggled for a couple years until my endocrinologist mentioned it and prescribed luteal phase microprogesterone and the sleep I’ve since gotten has been so amazing - and btw insomnia was really the only symptom I had (so far lol) since it seems I’m easing into this new phase of life relatively slowly and gently, so I’m definitely grateful for that 😂 but the earlier you can effectively manage hormone replacement therapy the better it is for your long term brain and body health. Just a thought for ya because it was such a blessing for me to finally solve the issues so I can’t help but preach it to my fellow women 😉

I like the fact that GA shares the products you use and value those opinions as an avid gardener. I have NEVER felt you push anything on your viewers. We enjoy you sharing so many aspects of your life with us. Ugh, people can be so negative sometimes. Take the nay sayers with a grain of salt. Don't let them get to you! I wouldn't change a thing you do!! I'm with you on the grocery store Laura! I have my list made out by department, know my store, and go from one end to the other. And early in the day also! I'm very much a morning person, my daughter is NOT! We went together for Christmas brunch shopping Saturday on her schedule, so it was mid afternoon...OMG! I had the worst anxiety! SO many people, and rude shoppers. Could not wait to get out of there! The older we get Laura, the worse our sleep habits get unfortunately. 72 here, have forgotten what a good night sleep is!

"list is in order of the store " yes but when they rearrange the store it's frustrating for awhile. lol I don't go early and do go slow But I don't go often. I stock up while there and can shop from my pantry. Plus it saves $ the less often you go.

I push that buggy pretty aggressively, slowing only for kids and elderly, and amazingly people just move out of my way like Moses parting the Red Sea… bwahahaha Mom calls it my Walmart attitude - “honey, today we’re going to need to get through this mall with your Walmart attitude!” I’m like, go up front and sit at Subway if you want to chat with another shopper in the middle of the aisle, I’m here to shop - I mean, it’s a store! And the folks talking freely and loudly about really personal matters as they mosey along… arrrgh

When you were talking about people criticizing you knife skills, let me just put in my own opinion. I have worked in professional kitchens, even high end restaurants and resorts. I don’t cut my vegies by the book, professionally speaking. No one ever got on my case about it. I say, the way you have learned, gotten used to, and have the muscle memory for, you should stick with. Because at this point, trying to relearn the “proper” way is more dangerous. I watch an older lady’s cooking channel and she slices her fruits and veg by holding it in her hand. (Probably grew up in an old farm kitchen without countertops.). You do you, Laura. It’s fine!

Hearing you describe your restless leg/nerve energy was exactly what I had been experiencing. I started to take magnesium glycocate every night before bed. It’s been a life changer. I fall asleep easily and sleep through the night. It’s decreased my anxiety levels as well.

I, for one, love that you have a store. It makes sense when you have talked about products for years that we have a place we can purchase them. In my perfect world, you would have a warehouse in Canada so I could just order everything.
For the restless leg, you need to add Magnesium glycinate to your daily supplement regime, women should have 400mg a day - I have experienced what you described and this is what I was told I needed and it has help so much - Merry Christmas

Just a lesson on jerking muscles my iron levels and also the (starts with F) stuff that carries the iron was very low and was causing restless leg jerking at night. I got a prescription for iron (extra iron helps increase the F stuff) and within a few days I slept better and the jerking stopped. I start to feel it now and just take iron for a few days and it goes away. I hope this is helpful. Absolutely love everything about your channel, garden care, plants, taking care of home and family. I feel I wake up happy knowing I can watch Garden Answer early and watch you share your lovely family and knowledge and lift my spirit for the day!! I pray God blesses your marriage and keeps it fun and strong.

Don't focus on nor give power to the negative commenters by discussing them. If the comment is constructive critism then by all means, but let the rest go. It's not worth your time and personally I watch you because of the gardening, crafts, family, etc and don't want the unnecessary negatives to come up during your video recap. If people leave because you are selling stuff in your store, let them. You are keeping it to a minimum and not flogging it and we appreciate it. Even I have ordered xmas lights and want one of those handy little rakes. You both are doing a great job and if people don't want to buy anything they won't. Personally, I love seeing the variation in videos with a variety of planting projects, family things & warehouse & garden tours. It keeps it interesting and keeps your presentation relatable .... thank you for all your hard work, I cannot imagine how much time videos must consume of your day (week)..... I just wish shoppers would put their carts to the side of the aisle. WHY IN THE MIDDLE! Then they tends to throw attitude if you ask them to move. Yesterday I waited a good 5 minutes while a guy tried to get the lottery machine to read his ticket. Even after he realized I was waiting he didn't take a moment to step aside.
Love the recap today. I always enjoy these. I am glad you have the gate to slow down strangers. Your children's safety is the most important thing. Also, I do not understand why some people are offended by your store. You do not push it and you only mention it when it makes sense. After years of battling 'restless legs' and general anxiety at night (only at night) my friend took the advice of an old physician. The antidote to twitchy muscles and mild anxiety in the evenings was to introduce lactic acid to your muscles. She runs stairs! Just anything that really stresses one's leg muscles. A stationary bike, under desk leg peddler, walking up steep hills also work. In my friend's case, she just climbs her home's main staircase multiple times, slowly but steadily, until her legs are just worn out. It works for her.
Erin the Impatient Gardener loves the Hoselink solar lights. It would be interesting to see if they would work in some strategic spots on your property.

I look forward to these videos every morning. I have learned so much about gardening and the different varieties of plants and it inspired me to change the plants in my flower gardens.
I live in a mobile home park and my lot was just dirt and crabgrass when I first moved in. After 30 years I now have 7 flower gardens containing hydrangeas, azaleas, butterfly bushes and various plants Laura and Aaron have used in their yard.
Laura I am so happy for you that you've beat aspartame's hold on you, the sleep challenges can be the result of letting it go, it will pass. In the mean time from personal experience I find topical magnesium on your feet at bedtime is a big help as well as melatonin, this helped me through difficult times. Wishing you happy dreams !
I watched all three of the Warehouse videos and you were not pushing sales at all! You usually only the store if someone asks where they can purchase a product they use or if there is a sale. Having a store available to get that item is so handy and beneficial to someone looking to purchase it. Don’t change a thing Laura and Aaron.
