I don't think he realises, but that scene is cemented in 'greatest comedy scenes ever' rubbing shoulders with dead parrots, some candles, various Blackadders and a few young ones to boot. The dancing scene in the nearly empty bar is up there too IMO.

I had to pick myself off the floor from laughing. It was just about the silliest thing I’d ever heard. Some months later we got into Inbetweeners and then saw the origin of this story. Finally my wife was reassured!

The thing with the character of Jay, we all knew someone a bit similar to the others but we all knew someone exactly like Jay. Its literally an iconic, forever lasting character Ots the epitome of a teenage boys struggle with self image.
The inbetweeners was the greatest show to display teenage culture in Britain. Every single kid in England had a friend like Jay growing up. Simon used to make me cringe so much because so many of the things he did were similar to embarrassing things that happened to me as a kid.

You could just get a grip and understand we know England is England, Scotland is Scotland and Wales is Wales and I can tell you honestly as an Englishman with Scottish relatives, we couldn't give a flying fck about Scotland or Wales in England, we're not all living in westminster and maybe if a certain demographic which you seem to fit could drop the bitterness you'd might realise that.

It blows away the American Pie series which was written from a J American perspective and not your average American. I feel inbetweeners is the most relatable to Americans as well and is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen
Buckley and the team captured the energy of the millennials experience of college/sixth form and that transition faze from childhood through to adulthood. A true coming of age story. The Imbetweeners was brilliant - we all had a mate like Jay aswell. 😂
With in the same week of seeing bus wanker I went on a boat trip and screamed at the top of my lungs boat wankers to a passing boat my mum did not look happy until we all heard the whole boat laughing memory will live with me forever 😂
I like how it doesn't annoy him and he still loves that people know him from that show, not everyone is like this and they want to move on, he won't mind it in 50 years i bet.
I saw a lad leaving Tesco carrying a chicken in a bag. He was the spit of "Will". I shouted "Chicken wanker" and he actually laughed. Can't beat British humour.
Loved The Inbetweeners. My boy is 12 and it's nearing the time where he'll be old enough to watch it. Cant eait to rewatch it with him and be in stitches doing so 😊.

Met james by chance on the stairs at wembley stadium at the Taylor Hawkins tribute gig a couple of years ago. I was drunk and star struck but we had a little chat about the music and he was such a lovely guy ❤
