- Hi everyone,
I’m taking part in a lovely mixed media embroidery challenge being hosted by Lisbeth Degn, a Danish mixed media artist. The challenge is called ‘Stitched Circle Show Challenge’ ( but I’m going to go with Dogma Embroidery Challenge for simplicity).
Details of the challenge are on Lisbeth’s YT channel and the link is below for that, if the challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The Dogma rules set for the third assignment are as follows:
1. Light felt or heavy fabric
2. Cover the surface with used teabags
3. Stitch: Blanket Stitch
4. A single circle
5. Free choice of thread colour
I hope you enjoyed seeing this week’s Dogma Challenge piece come together. It certainly was great fun. I’m a little behind Lisbeth’s weekly assignments so my next few videos will be posted in quick succession BUT once I’ve caught up, I’ll post my weekly Dogma Challenge videos each week on a Wednesday going forward.
I hope you’ll join me to see how I get on with this Challenge and perhaps consider taking apart too......
Until the next video, happy crafting and hugs from me......
C xx

Looks so good - love the black against the tea bag colouring. It really does look like a cut tree!
Hi Carol, I love your staggered blanket stitch and those tea bags certainly do look like tree bars. They're gorgeous. This was a good one. TFS 😊
I really loved doing this one. I've never sewn on teabags before and the texture was amazing. TFW Kimberley. Hugs C xx
@oakhousejournals that texture did look quite fun, glad you are enjoying it so much!
Love the tea bag background on this one and the irregular look of your blanket stitch looks fabulous ... I like this one a lot, well done you. TFS.
Have to say this one is my favourite so far. LOVED the technique of using the teabags as a background. I can see me using that in a collage at some point in the future... watch this space. Hugs C xx
💜💜💜 luv it! Thank you
This one was SUCH FUN to do. Loved sewing on those teabags. TFW Amy. Big hugs C xx
Nice one. 👍
Thank you Lisbeth.... I managed to listen properly to the rules this week 😊 I loved using the tea bags on this week's challenge piece and will certainly be trying it out again on some future project. Thank you for the inspiration. Hugs C xx
Lovely! ❤❤
Awww thanks Mitzie. Soooo thrilled you liked it. Hugs C xx
Love that fabric! And of course you did beautiful work!
It was ALL Lisbeth's idea and how fabulous an idea was it.... I loved it and will certainly be doing it again on some other future project. TFW Anita. Big hugs C xx
