I cant stand Hollywood block buster type movies. As my taste matured I started looking into Indie movies. The HW movies with the special effects and no dialogue are just a bunch of cookie cutter movies. Seen one , you've seen them all.

It is truly refreshing to see a non-over-the-top vampire movie again and not one moment did I have a "Oh please...get on with it" or "Like THAT'S how you would react" moment and/or feelings. Loved it!

From the classic tale, the acting and players, to every scene, frame, special effects and soundtrack ... never before have I paused a movie to admire the composition, balance and colour within single shots. Even though this movie, had light under tones of Blade, it was unique and held its, own compelling story. Great lighting & cinematography, the acting and chemistry between the actors, was good. Id give it a 7.5 very entertaining!

The beginning of this film has drama, intrigue, action, great locations, some awesome cinematography, and you can tell this is going to be a good watch from second #1. A bit of a surprise to find a classy original storyline in this genre, and I enjoyed the watch enormously. Thankyou Extreme Mysteries for a really worth watching upload!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

I am a half hour into this movie and it is marvelous! Even though I do not know Russian (thanks for the English subtitles!) I can tell that it is very well acted. The story line is compelling. And it is clearly as much a tale of heroism as of horror, both beautifully blended. Thank you for uploading it.

Wow! That was a really good old world vampire story! The vfx were really good too! Esp the bats..how did they get the light from the torches on the wings of the fast flying bats so perfect? Nice! My first full movie via yt..and a great start!

It was a real cliffhanger. It had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails wondering if the girl in the water was going to stand up and walk out.
This is a hidden gem.
I love the view . It was beautiful location /village to make this film .
For those checking comments to see if this film is good or not... it is certainly worth a watch! The Cinematography alone is well above average, I dare say great. The acting is above par, and the story is very good also. Some may find it a little slow getting going, but it all works very well in developing the plot. I especially enjoyed the nod to Tolstoy in this story.
This could have easily been a Hammer film, had it been made in the 70s. I really enjoyed this film and highly recommended you watch it!

I'm Hungarian and unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the subtitles either, because I don't speak any of the languages, but I understood and really liked it. I love movies like this, it's a shame they haven't been translated into Hungarian yet

What a great prequel! Can't believe its set 100 years before the Twilight movies.
Well I have to say that I’m only 14 minutes into the film and I’m loving it and after reading some of the comments they are not wrong about the cinematography and the acting and the subtitles don’t bother me either….Anyway back to the film 🍿 🥤 😃
