Man you're not kidding. Working on this for about 30 straight mins. Definitely feeling it the second you stop. Thanks for the tips and videos.
I used to practice this kata when studying kobudo, very good for balance
that background is really good for seeing how straight you hold your blade.
Thank you. I hope this will help.
It was great. Although I had pain in my legs when I started but now it is better. Thanks from Tehran
My pleasure!
Cool, tried it and liked it! Since the topic is developing strength doing variations was mentioned, as a strength and fitness trainer to kendoka and iaidoka, I noticed the right leg raises the body 2x more than the left leg and the left leg lowers the body 2x more than the right leg. If my client did yaegaki 10x through, I’d have them finish with a round of right leg forward reverse lunges to the ground, retract the leg back to sit in high seiza, and put the left leg forward to stand up, and doing that 10 more times to even out the shortening and lengthening muscle actions of each leg.
You could alternate standard and opposite leg yaegaki too, albeit breaks from tradition.
Thanks for the lesson!
Love it...
i like this! gonna give this one a go
I just practiced this waza yesturday?
