So our style's curriculum is not really structured like that. (If you are referring to Defensive and offensive) Other Koryu arts are structured in this manner.. Our curriculum has many of these techniques (waza) but they start out as "defensive" but then then evolve in "offensive" as the practitioner progresses. Well i dont know if this is correct but i think of having a stance as in your feet are on train tracks or something not too wide same as planting a skateboard
