for those that don't know, for windows 10 to get to the sound settings you have to go into system -> sound and then there is related settings at the right hand side, and you click on sound control panel, this pulled it up for me atleast

the first Microphone option in the settings is the Mic sensitivity not how loud the Mic is, the DB is the Mic's loudness volume, you had it a bit backwards there mate.

At 0:32 I have my microphone plugged into my laptop. I can hear myself with background noise on the microphone through my earphone plugged into the mic, However, the mic that's plugged into the laptop won't even show up on my laptop as if nothing is connected nor exits. In windows 10 if anyone is not able to find the options follow this
search sound settings , scroll down a bit, under Related settings you will see 4-5 options written in blue color, open sound control panel, a new window will pop up with list of devices , choose yours and the proceed as shown in the video.
