- Mafia 4 is officially confirmed to be in development by Hangar 13 Games. It will a prequel located in Italy and on Unreal Engine 5 according to inside sources. In this video I discuss some new information regarding Mafia IV, Mafia 2 remake rumors, when we can see a Mafia 4 trailer, and Mafia 4 release date.

It seems that mafia 4 is officially in the works and I’m very excited to step into Italy in the early 1900s especially in the unreal Engine 5 I’ll definitely pre order
I'm fine with 1900s although i wished that they would have done work on Years of Lead in Italy that took place in 1960s to 1980s.

Actually I would prefer a 1970-1980 Mafia game, where we can witness the falling of many of them but also the rise of new ones

I'd be a little disappointed if it was about Salieri honestly. I'm hoping for a game about Don Calo, the briefly seen chieftain from the Mafia II prologue.
He's a real life figure though, not sure how it'd work
Don calo is my dream but it’s unlikely it can tie the games even more, show how did he have so much power how he started out he is like Leo Galante if not more powerful but in Sicily! They can change his name to something similar if he is real life gangster

@@N1cusor it’s not 100% confirmed but it’s likely every source says we gonna play young salieri at Sicily but it’s interesting to play one of the most powerful mob Don’s in the mafia franchise universe! I hope it’s true my top three pick for a prequel is young Galante, Don calo, salieri, there is always good stories in every powerful Don, I’m just hoping hangar 13 makes it right or mafia 1 fans will be mad! So it’s a risk, after mafia 4 we need brand new cast of characters and protagonist and references of previous games like gta does. Mafia 5 has two rumors 1960s empire bay Bonnie & Clyde story, or Las Vegas’s in 70s, but take it with grain of salt! It’s crazy mafia 5 rumors is here and 4 isn’t even out

Top Spin 2K25 is awesome news especially, it means that Hangar 13 gets more experience and exposure, and of course more cash for 2K is never a bad thing, more money that can go into Mafia

It's not going to be good. Take 2 has a vested interest in seeing this series fail. If it does to well it will cannibalize money from GTA. And they can't milk u for 10 years straight with a mafia game. They may also want Rockstar to make mafia centric game in the future akin to rdr2 so it's best not allow the Mafia series to do anything of quality mechanics wise.
I think it would be better if Mafia 4 was 1980s-1990s

I would really wanna hear about the formation of the nation wide commission in the mafia universe and see how each family got their seat on the commission as well as getting introduced to families from different cities that we never heard of before

I actually hope it’s Salieri as the protagonist, they’re normally good at making us like morally corrupt characters. It’s just I don’t know if they could pull it off, the more you see Salieri with Frank, the more you’ll remember how it ended for them. Everyone’s gotta like the protagonist of the game.

I love this. I know most fans wanted a Las Vegas setting, I would like one too but I have always dreamt of Sicily aswell. If they make this game inspired by godfather 2 it would be a dream. Locations I want to see in the franchise for the future are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Florida and Cuba. Also a revisit to Empire Bay where they could expand it. Would be amazing if after the Sicily chapters we arrive to Empire Bay and could play there. If they made the Empire Bay map then they could use that for a Mafia 2 Remake.
It's crazy they leave the cliff hanger for Lincoln being Joe's kid and that Vito and Joe are so close together but never seen each other... I was hoping we would some how get a follow up into that but this is a good story line as well...
Hope on a gigantic map, new engine and long-lasting story :)
Old-school hay day mafia era is the best. Or do a Mafia 2 sequel and pick up just after Vito and Joe split up, tell us what happened to each of them.

The Godfather video game was so fun I kinda wish they remaster it the first one was amazing Godfather 2 the video game was decent 1 was just awesome

Nearly every comment talking about wanting a mafia game in the 70s or 80s, but I feel real Mafia fans are interested to play a prequel to the original mafia to see how everything started. The late 19th century/early 20th century is such an interesting time period.

It wouldn't make sense because the first mafia starts with the oldest production car in history. If they went further back you would have to use horses, and we all know that hangar 13 is too lazy for horses

My biggest hope is that the movement feels a lot better, i love the mafia series but i can’t cap the movement does not feel very good, hopefully unreal engine 5 will fix that and make it feel more grounded and less floaty, also hoping customization has an overhaul, no more picking preset outfits, also if it does have presets please let them show in cutscenes
Unreal engine is just a tool, it doesn't fix anything, just like any other engine, it's Rly stupid how people think unreal engine is this game modding tool that lets you produce something in a year with no bugs

How is it possible that Mafia Definitive Edition is already going on 4 years old? I remember being so hyped about it when it was first announced. I'm not that excited about Mafia IV yet, but I think I will be once we see an actual trailer of some sort!

I really wish they wouldn’t go backward with this series.🤔 it would be better to move forward with maybe some flashback missions from the past in Italy.I want the new Mafia game to be set in Vegas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston so you could fast travel and build your Empires in all those places. Also including Empire Bay and New Boudreaux as well. I would also love to see Joe, Vito, Lincoln, John Donavon , Leo Galante and some of the mob families modeled after the real mob bosses of 60’s and 70’s in the places I suggested. Going back to Italy seems like it would be tougher to make the game really good. The game needs to move forward with the story.

My prediction is we get to see Henry Tomasino story.
We’ve already played as someone whose ratted so it’s not out of the question and seeing how the mafia franchise likes to have all the world linked (Joe in mafia 3, killing Tommy in mafia 2, Joe being Lincoln’s father and Leo galante reappearing)
We’ve heard rumors that it’s partially in empire bay partially in Sicily and remember Henry says he grew up in Sicily and had to move when he was 20 because of Mussolini.
I think we’ll see his story, the mafia conflicting with Mussolini him having to come to empire bay working his way up the family and meeting Vito and see what he was up to when he was off screen in mafia 2 (helping the gov) plus it gives them the chance to add more cutscenes with Joe and Vito, some stuff they were up to when we weren’t controlling them. Hell they may be able to use one of those cutscenes to confirm Joe as Lincoln’s father by expanding on him and the “Spanish broad” with the final scene being him getting whacked by the triads and Joe and Vito rushing over
Also everyone’s super hyped on the idea of 70s Vegas but one thing I never got is why they haven’t actually done the prohibition era yet. The rumors are 4 will be before prohibition and 1-3 are all post 1930 and I could imagine an amazing game where you get to run booze. Hell they could do Atlantic City for a boardwalk empire feel.
Im super excited for this game though. Hopefully 2K doesn’t cut half the content out of what Hangar 13 makes.

I just don’t see how a prequel to the series could be that exciting. A big part of what makes them exciting is the car chases and gun fights and general action, where would that be in the early 1900s?

Oh shit first game without VITO appearing! That will be kinda weird he is the heart of this franchise. Salieri is exciting he was the Don who started this and not we get a game about his rise to power, him and Leo was my favorite pick to play when they were young 🔥

Mafia 2 remake may be just a rumor but it's a rumor that interest me, I even wonder if that potential remake will get the "definitive edition" treatment and an alternate ending.

I just want them to polish Mafia 4. Even the Mafia remake still had issues.

- Uncomfortable gunplay
- Weak animations
The one thing they do great is voice acting and motion capture for their cutscenes.
I want buttery smooth gameplay
and better mechanics. It doesn’t have to rival GTA, but if they could make it play like a real AAA game for once i’d be in love.
A Mafia 2 remake would honestly be awesome along side Mafia 4 but i feel like they’ll choose one or the other.. If they do both i feel like the overall quality of both could suffer.
Considering it's called project Nero, it would make sense that it takes place in Rome. That would be cool no matter the year it's set in
I don’t know why people complain it’s going to be exciting see the origins and rise of the mafia and how it started and step in the shoes as young Salieri the boss himself, it’s awesome in my opinion! I think that mafia 4 should continue the story from mafia 2 s last mission where joe and vito unite once again and there should be a prolouge showing what happened joe after the final mission in nafia 2

I think its good Mafia 4 is set in the early 1900s in Italy. While I know it's really far off, it would be cool if Mafia 5 is the one that is set in the 70s and 80s in Las Vegas and its basically detailing the fall of the Mafia and how they got muscled out of Vegas by the Corporations.
Mafia 5: Tommy Angelo Jr. new protagonist with his sidekick Lincoln Clay. And also featured Nicki Burke who is alive in the future.

You know what they can do follow salieri story in Italy ok show how he make his name but in the end of mafia 4 salieri ending can have Tommy Angelo Son and Sarah confronting salieri in jail after Tommy’s death and Tommy Angelo son is kinda young let’s say he is studying to be a cop, have a convo his son is saying “one day I’m gonna crack down the whole mob” and salieri *laughs* and then credits roll! Now mafia 5 we have Tommy son as an older more experience protagonist, he is an undercover cop like Donnie brasco he is in Vegas in 70s-80s he plan to take down the mob he can face the likes of Louie Romeo and Leo Galante and maybe some new exciting families! Have Donovan, Vito, Tony balls, Enzo conti, Joe, return make this a money move, Of course unlikely to happen hangar 13 is good but isn’t open minded but this is my wish it will be a kind a diff mafia an undercover cop takes down the mob but if you play his son it’s gonna go full circle in the franchise

I would rather have a mafia game set in 1970s Cleveland Ohio, where you get to play as an Irish mob boss. Whatever game they do end up making, I hope they take their time developing it so it's not a Buggy glitchy, underdeveloped mess lacking in details and activities like the previous 2 mafia games, mafia 3 and mafia definitive edition.
A prequel with Saleiri has to involve horses, because there were no cars in sicili during his youth. Hangar 13 is lazy so i don't expect them to make horses
