That horn is hilariously bad and I'm astounded why so many teams back then used it. I want to know the model though, so I can use the sound file as a prank.
Three things as a stars fan/dallas citizen. 1. They used The Whip in around 2013 or 2014 since they were trying to find songs to replace Rock & Roll Part 2. 2. The Puck Off song by pantera to my knowledge actually started being used in 2018. The other years it was just their entrance music when they came out of the star before the first period. 3. For the bonus, that song is still being used since the stars played in Reunion Arena. Great video though! I like looking through my teams history.
I swear every time I’m at a game and I get up to go get a snack I have this nagging feeling of “what if” and then it happens. And its always Jonathan Drouin
I know. I was actually gonna put it in the description that they didnt actually use it from 1970. They started using it from 1977. The first NHL team to use rrp2 was the Colorado Rockies in 1976.
In 2010-2011, they played 2 voices after the first hey part. The first voice is Ron Burgundy from Anchorman and the second voice is Vincent Price’s laugh
I was only 12 so I got mad over it but whenever they scored in the 99 finals I used to be like okay come on does it have to be that long. During the finals it the horn went off for like 30 seconds. I was bitter. Knew the sabres just didn't match up to them. Hasek made it almost possible.
Darkness Music and it is used for goals against. In the video, it says that they stopped using but I figured out after this video that they still use it now. Just look at the description.

Puck off was used as their goal song starting in the 2013-14 season, I know because I was at the second game of the season.
It was actually started way back in 1999

The 2011-2013 goal song is also used for the Blue Jackets
They couldn’t have used R&RP2 or the horn in 1970 because the Hawks were the first team to use a horn in 1973 and R&RP2 came out in 1972

I’m so addicted to outdoor game goal horns
I wish a team used Rock and Roll Part 2 as their permanent goal song. It deserves to be there full-time
I'm sick and tired of it. That would suck if it was there full time.
It will never will due to glitter’s controversies
I think almost every team had it as their goal song at some point.
Ehh it's a good song but Pantera's Puck Off is way better
It's generic/boring/over used
It doesn't help that Gary Glitter is a predator either
