I've been to many Winter Classics now. When Radulov scored the 3rd goal, that was the loudest I've ever heard at a hockey game. It was like a bubble burst. Great job Dallas. That was unexpectedly fantastic.
I didn’t think there were that many stars fans but we were there with everything we had. They got off to such a bad start with the 5 min major but nothing better than Rads hitting the go ahead one timer. This was also the last sporting event I attended before the pandemic. Surreal

When Rads scores to make it 3-2 I’ve never heard anything so loud even gunfire would’ve been seemed muted due to how loud the stadium was, it was literally shaking. Absolutely crazy
I’ve been to a lot of Texas OU Red River shootout games at the Cotton Bowl in October over the years. I gotta say this tops it. The winter classic had a higher attendance than Texas OU weekend.
This was the last sporting event I attended before the pandemic. It was such an amazing experience despite the traffic getting in and out of the cotton bowl.
I was there, I was the guy with my Rich Peverley jersey, and the big green sign that said "Look Ma' no roof!". This was my first Dallas Stars game and it was an unbelievably, nostalgic, once in a lifetime experience. Go Stars!!!
Going to this game with my dad was really one of the best days of my life. The best sporting event i have ever seen. I have never heard anything quite as loud as the roar of the 75,000 stars fans cheering for that 3rd goal. I also remember this being like the third game in a row where the stars gave up an early lead and brought it back with like 3 or 4 unanswered goals. Still makes me tear up watching it all back. What a game.

I was genuinely surprised that the Dallas Stars were able to fill that stadium with the Nashville Predators as their opponents, and not the Red Wings, the Blackhawks, or the Bruins. This is rarely said when Hockey is involved, but this was a Proud Day for the State of Texas.
Ill never forget seeing the puck bounce on the twine I don't remember seeing the celebration because the commotion and noise I was burried in. the best stars goal ive seen live hands down. Still get sports emotional and goosebumps

It is interesting watching a sporting event before COVID19 because there were so many things that I took for granted such as the perpetual existence of sports itself. I did not realize how much a big deal it is to host a sporting event until it was gone. I am glad that my favorite sport hockey has returned, but I can definitely tell the difference in the quality of play and excitement of the game. Lastly, I do not like what Tuukka Rask did to the Bruins, but I think he is partially right in that the games seem incomplete without fans.

Huge missed delay of game call to put the Stars on the power play at the end of the 2nd. Never understand why the refs don't take 5 seconds to review the video and could see the puck obviously hits the glass. The Preds need to be better at the kill, but the refs need to make the right call. No one likes being shafted.

maixiu Typically the Cotton Bowl is split for Texas/OU fans down the middle. I read that upwards of 20k tickets were sold to Preds fans so maybe their seats were sectioned off together? There were bus loads of Preds fans arriving together so maybe those sections were paid for together by them.
I’m a preds fan and we talked to stars fans and stuff and we agreed that the preds would buy in specific sections for the most part. But I was there and I can assure you, those weren’t the only preds fans
The referees were completely unjustified in giving Perry a penalty, let alone a game misconduct for "elbowing." There was not one single example of Perry using or intending to use his elbow against Ellis. He clearly hit him with his forearm, not his elbow. All the NHL officials involved should be terminated without exception, this is disgraceful.
I can somewhat see the argeument for no misconduct (I think its pretty clear misconduct but I can somewhat see arguments he put himself in a bad position), but if you do not think Perry deserved a penalty then I can't really have a conversation with you. Look at Perry's reaction, no argument no complaint he knows he deserved it.

No, the stadium wasn’t split, the Nashville fans were sprinkled throughout the stadium. They did have big groups together though.

He didn't mean to clock him in the head. A Major is the right call. I didn't think he needed to be ejected.
