To say something is wrong with Ewers is an understatement. That being said, you cannot bench him bc he finds way to win(or defense). He has really brought this program up. Any Texas fan from 2000 on can tell you how good it felt from 2004-2009. Colt was a warrior. After 09, it was years of despair. Ewers was a perfect grade recruit and all he has done is win mostly: manning will be another chapter: manning hasn’t beat Bama at home or been truly tested yet. His ceiling is immeasurable! It’s Ewers team: We will probably lose in the quarterfinals.

1. Ewers is very good, and one of his strengths is that plays relaxed, but it can be a weakness as well, which can lead to what seems avoidable mistakes. I think he can improve and become even better, but I think he needs up his energy level a bit when the moment calls. I am happy to have him, and if Manning wasn't here, I would hate to lose him. 2. That fumble. -A. Like I said with avoidable mistakes, that mistake was due to carelessness. Not only is he loose with the ball, he did a normal slide with a lot of A&M players around him. Question though, typically the ball is called dead when the player starts the slide, which it looks like he started to slide, maybe it was too early to determine what kind of slide he was doing. -B. Even though the play seems to be an option play, it almost looked like a designed run, with a quick pump fake to a WR who was blocking the entire time. A designed run for a slowed QB is not ideal, especially since if it was a true option play, 26 and 81 were open once they bit on his run. 3. FG kicking...needs practice...at least some. 4. Overall, the team played great, dominated, minus a couple of catastrophic errors that could have cost them the game. LOL >.

1. Ewers is very good, and one of his strengths is that plays relaxed, but it can be a weakness as well, which can lead to what seems avoidable mistakes. I think he can improve and become even better, but I think he needs up his energy level a bit when the moment calls. I am happy to have him, and if Manning wasn't here, I would hate to lose him.
2. That fumble.
-A. Like I said with avoidable mistakes, that mistake was due to carelessness. Not only is he loose with the ball, he did a normal slide with a lot of A&M players around him. Question though, typically the ball is called dead when the player starts the slide, which it looks like he started to slide, maybe it was too early to determine what kind of slide he was doing.
-B. Even though the play seems to be an option play, it almost looked like a designed run, with a quick pump fake to a WR who was blocking the entire time. A designed run for a slowed QB is not ideal, especially since if it was a true option play, 26 and 81 were open once they bit on his run.
3. FG kicking...needs practice...at least some.
4. Overall, the team played great, dominated, minus a couple of catastrophic errors that could have cost them the game. LOL >.
