Well Ian had test ride .what can I say but WOW your right then said you needed a garillira 450 in your life .lol well am the same it's ride's like a bream amazing..I definitely getting one myself..😊😊😊😊😊
Ooo, another new bike on the road. I think you and Malcolm (see other comments), need to get together for a chat too. Take care, and keep me updated as to how you are getting on with it. 😎
Thanks Mo, really pleased you enjoyed it, I was just gutted I couldn’t do what I wanted to, hey ho. I think the next video, which is the return ride, shows the scenery better, though I will let you be the judge of that 😉😂
Brave or stupid 😳😂 It was sketchy in places, but at least it proved that the wet weather performance of the CEAT tyres, at least here in the uk, is absolutely fine 😎
Ah thanks ian for the fed back really appreciate that i live in northern Ireland. Am going to test ride a graillra 450 on this Thursday 16th January.. hope it goes well.. many thanks Robert 🎉
Hopefully the demo bike has a few miles in the clock, so you can really see what it’s like……I am sure you won’t be disappointed. Did you watch my first ride review ? With less than 15 minutes, I knew I had to have one 😂
Evening Ian 😊 no need to apologise for not getting where you wanted to go. I enjoyed this road very much, especially when I could feel the tension you were feeling going around some of those bends, especially that very wet one. Shame you didn't manage to get the drone up 😊 👍
Thanks James, the wind was even worse on the way back (next video). Yes some of the sections were a bit sketchy, definitely nothing wrong with the CEAT tyres. ☺️
@ianhughesroyalenfield those Ceat tyres are superb. I couldn't fault them on the Himalayan or the Classic. Poor old Avon didn't get any money out of me 😃
As I have said many times previously, there isn’t anything wrong with them, at least here in the uk. Maybe the road surface in other countries gives less feedback, maybe a different surface dressing to withstand higher temperatures. 🤔
Evening Ian, another cracking video, you definitely don’t need to apologise for not getting to go where you planned but considering the conditions just getting out on the bike was a heck of a achievement buddy, you’re going to have some fun on those roads later on in the year 😂 all the best buddy 👍
Thanks Mike. Unsure whether we will be coming back down to the cottage again in the summer this year, as lifestyle changes are afoot. I might explain in a video sometime, but in short, I need to get a proper job again 😢
@ oh,, bugger not a proper job 😥 yea this retirement lark isn’t cheap nowadays and as much as we’d like things not to change that’s not the way of life, you have to adapt and go forward, I’m sure you’ll be fine, I mean it’s not like you have had a normal (boring) lifestyle anyway 🤣🤣 snow and ice has about gone up here so the wee bike will be coming out again 🥳 ride safe buddy 👍
@mikehatswell3961 I just need two or three days a week, ideally working 3 weekends out of 4, allowing us to be able to return to Nantwich to take mum for appointments etc. Agreed, our lifestyle definitely hasn’t been boring 😊😎😂 Take care out there.
Evening Ian, another great vlog as always, up to your usual standard. If ever you continue along the main road into Bala be very careful when you enter the 30 zone, there is generally a Speed camera van parked on the right hand side, I know countless people who have got nicked at that spot for doing 32 mph!! I'm going to be really nerdy here, is it the camera view or has your clutch cable locknut at the lever end come undone, seems to be a gap there, told you it was nerdy!!🤔🤣🤣 Anyway, look forward to the return journey in part 2. In the meantime I hope you've bought plenty of anti corrosion and cleaning products with you.🙂👍
Thanks Jonathan, will have a look at the locknut when I clean Scorpio tomorrow……didn’t have time the other day, and had to whizz back to Nantwich for an overnighter, returning to the cottage later today. Yes, I have my anti corrosion stuff with me, so will get on it tomorrow. The Welsh fuzz are right t**ts, they have had me for doing “just over” in the past 🤬 Unfortunately, the next Wales vids will be in 1080p, as we are back to crap internet with an upload speed of 6mbps at best (that’s when it’s not dropping out) 😳 This means a 30 minute 1080p video takes between 4 - 5 hours to upload to RUclips. Bloody frustratingly slow 🫣😂
Good evening Mark, lovely isn’t it ……. though it did look better a couple of days previously, I didn’t want to run the risk of bouncing / sliding down the tarmac 😳😂 Cheers
I suppose if there’s been a good few car and lorries there’s less chance of ice but do be careful Ian👍. The sound is very good, your voice is clear and good engine sounds aswell. I think you would be froze on that hill flying the drone. No apology necessary Ian your ride are always interesting, have you seen that new wiper out ? It looks good but quite expensive?
That would be good, but I might try 3 Sisters first, as I have never been on a track day …….. that’s presuming you mean the Anglesey Circuit ? If you mean just going around Anglesey, it’s a bit far from where we are staying here in Powys, and where we are based on the north Lancashire/Cumbria border. That said, it could well be on the cards for a caravan trip (with the bike in the back of the van). Watch this space 😉 Cheers
@richiektm it’s about a 4 hour round trip to get there and back, then however long to ride around it. Maybe in nice weather, but not in winter weather. Thanks for your thoughts though 👍
Well another great ride out Ian .Thank you . Watch out , there is a rumour that current stocks of the Guerilla are declining rapidly, Brought about by this guy called Ian Hughes who totally enjoyes his new purchase, Well not necessary new anymore but requires a bloody good clean, Until next time, Ride safe. Mike ,Sunny Wales
Good Morning from down under Ian. I recently bought myself one of these lovely little motorcycles and I'm wondering about the CEAT OEM's that it came with. Are you still running the CEAT's on yours or have you swapped them out for something that is more confidence inspiring? If so, what have you put on him? Cheers mate E
G’day mate (sorry, couldn’t help myself)…..no, still running on the CEAT’s, which I am truly happy with, even in these wet, and slimy conditions. In the dry, the handling is impeccable, and I certainly won’t be swapping them. Once upon a time (2018), I had a new Yamaha MT07, which had Bridgestone BT23’s (I think), and it was bloody awful, really vague, no feedback whatsoever. The CEAT’s are superb by comparison.
Well Robert, it’s all down to personal choice. Both are great bikes, the Interceptor produces a few bhp more, but is heavier. The Interceptor is a throbbing air cooled parallel twin, which goes really well, and handles really well too, but there is just something about the Guerrilla which wins the battle for me. The Interceptor looks like it’s from the 1960’s, whereas the Guerrilla looks like it’s from the 1980’s…..pick an era 😉. Best advice, test ride both. The throttle on the Guerrilla takes a bit of getting used to being a sensitive ride by wire, but oooo, when you get it 😎 Hope this helps in some way…….the Interceptor is a good bike though and I loved mine for 3 years 😂
Well Ian had test ride .what can I say but WOW your right then said you needed a garillira 450 in your life .lol well am the same it's ride's like a bream amazing..I definitely getting one myself..😊😊😊😊😊
Fantastic…..but which colour would you go for ?
Of course..lol you're a RUclipsr Star ⭐
O definitely the blue and white one😊
😎 Hope you mentioned me at the dealership 😉
Thanks for another great ride in dodgy conditions impressive scenery, looks good with the snow on the hills, hope to collect my Guerilla on Friday.
Ooo, another new bike on the road. I think you and Malcolm (see other comments), need to get together for a chat too. Take care, and keep me updated as to how you are getting on with it. 😎
thats a cracking bike that......
It is indeed, thank you ☺️
Yes iv watched all your videos lol very good..and your bike is cracking
Nice to know Robert, thank you.
Of course lol you're a RUclips star ⭐😊
I wish 🤣
Hiya Ian 👋. No need for you to apologise. That was a great video and those snow covered mountains looked spectacular! Ride safe. Regards, Mo 😊👍.
Thanks Mo, really pleased you enjoyed it, I was just gutted I couldn’t do what I wanted to, hey ho. I think the next video, which is the return ride, shows the scenery better, though I will let you be the judge of that 😉😂
Good ride ian love the bike
Thanks Rod,so do I 😂😎
Enjoyed that ride, thanks for braving the cold 🥶. Planning to get out Thursday, haven't figured out where yet. Take care
Thank you, still a bit iffy in places, but should be ok in the next couple of days. Take care yourself too.
You're a braver man than me, in those temperatures and conditions.
Brave or stupid 😳😂 It was sketchy in places, but at least it proved that the wet weather performance of the CEAT tyres, at least here in the uk, is absolutely fine 😎
Evening Ian, nice video again, dodgy road conditions for you. Good news, my Guerrilla is at the dealership, hopefully picking it up on Saturday 😊
Thanks Malcolm. Well that’s fantastic news, please keep me in the loop as to how you get on with it. Get it run in, and have some serious fun 😎
Evening Ian, good run out that , looking forward to getting down Wales in a few weeks time! 😁👍
Thanks Mel, it should have warmed up a bit by then…….but then again you like the chilly weather 🥶😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield 😅
Another great ride out Ian , maybe the cops were out , looking for UFO activity.
😂 thanks Paul.

Plenty of time to get it run in…..no need to go out in yukky conditions 😉
Yeah I know, I'm just itching to get out on it 😊
@malcolmtaylor3231 take care my friend.
@@ianhughesroyalenfield thanks Ian I will, it's them others you have to watch out for 🤔
Absolutely 🫣
Still looking shiny Ian well done 👏 take care mate 👍
Wasn’t shiny when we returned Keith, as you will see on the next video 😂😂
Your certainly getting some good use out of the guerilla
Doing my best …… 😎😂

The Police heard about your Spirited Riding & Guerrilla Tatics Ian & keeping a eye 👁 on you😂🤣.
Wouldn’t surprise me 😂, thanks RR
And so many complain about the Ceat tires 😮
Absolutely Julian, nothing wrong with them in my humble opinion. Just because they are not a “known” brand, doesn’t mean they are rubbish 😉
Welcome to a Welsh winter wonderland.

Its called Bike guard, not sure how much it is but looks very good 👌
Bit chilly for me. Having a ride to RE dealer in the morning now it’s a bit milder

3rd attempt!@@scootersbikesclassiccarsea122

Hi Ian
Do you wear thermal leggings underneath your trousers?
Yes, definitely. Plus heated socks, and heated jacket powered by the bike, and battery powered heated gloves.
You're getting a "wind noise" because you're doing 100 mph and passing everyone in sight🤣!
😂 oh bugger, I hoped no-one noticed 😂 thanks Edward
