I happened to get the European version at the first season, then the Singaporean for the rest up to season 6. Season 6 to 8 had the American intro for me. As a as-hardcore-as-it-gets House fan, I consider the European and Singaporean version much more fitting with the initial character of the show, and the blunt, calculated ingenuine medicine, but as the show progresses and we get to sympathize and see much more of House's character development, the new, much more House revolving plot telling matches like a charm the emotionally charged intro of Massive Attack. You get to feel the struggle and agony House has to go through in his effort to change himself.
My fave will always be the American intro. It gives an ominous feeling of darkness, imminent danger, and miracles in medicine. One of my top 5 favorite intros ever, up with the likes of Mission Impossible and Unsolved Mysteries, lol.
Doomguy the european one is awesome too, but im always used to the second one, but hearing the american one ruins the entire show for me, i cant find anywhere to stream it where its not the american or european one, this really pisses me off..
I had to look this up lol. I’ve seen the whole series years ago and I remember it with the first intro, but just started watching it again on Netflix and all the episodes use the third intro.
Yeah, and unfortunatly this version inst included in the teardrop - massive, is a totally different tune that i never found the name, maybe it was done for the show itself. The european and the american, (second and first ones) used parts from teardrop - massive. I really like all of them, but i think the third one is my favorite too
I never even realized these three openings were different. The first one sounds more ominous. I somehow attach it to the episode where a kid gets taken by an alien, then the next shot he's lying down bloody on the garden. I was like 10 and it terrified me but I couldn't stop watching anyway. Easily my favorite non-cartoon show as a kid.
This made me become a doctor… …Almost I'm in the third year, in USP South America 2nd best med school And it all started with that episode of the kid who saw aliens. If one day I see Hugh Larie I'll probably hug him while crying

Never once did I hear the American version of the song... I was super confused when I looked up the song and didn't recognize it... Does anyone know the songs that the other two themes originate from?
Love how IMO the intros for the selected seasons of the show kind of show of the vibe of each part, the first couple seasons is the crew having fun and it's the intro in the middle, the next is funky with the first one, the last is also last kinda dark n serious
Kinda crazy that in Brazil they use the Singaporean version... the three openings are nice af! But since I'm a Massive Attack fan of course my favourite is now the American version. Thanks for sharing this video!
This video made me realize House MD in latin america also uses the singaporean intro. No wonder everytime I looked for the House theme song it played at such a different tone than the one I remembered.
The American one is an original song by massive attack that was made before the show came out. The European one is basically just a song they made to sound as similar to the American as possible without infringing on copyright. The Singapore one is a little ridiculous and the last one made, it too is just coping the original song with a little bit of hip hop beat added in to make it more modern.
I'm a resident and the previous owner of my pager set the ringtone with this theme. I'm so grateful because it feels really cool when it rings while I'm walking through the hospital corridors 😎

Riley Johnson Right? Hahah. I looked up Teardrop to listen to it and was surprised it wasn't the theme I was used to. I wonder why Netflix has a different theme.
Riley Johnson I'm watching on Netflix but I only hear the European version because I'm brazilian and here they use it in the dubbed version, but I don't know if it's only in the first season.

@@BobMcBurger1 when did you first watch the show?
@@AbeDorf18 I don't remember when I did. Haven't watched the series in a while ever since I finished watching it.
My fave will always be the American intro. It gives an ominous feeling of darkness, imminent danger, and miracles in medicine. One of my top 5 favorite intros ever, up with the likes of Mission Impossible and Unsolved Mysteries, lol.
Teardrop by Massive Heart Attack best shit ever.
I feel the same!!!!!
Sprsae european is better
Doomguy the european one is awesome too, but im always used to the second one, but hearing the american one ruins the entire show for me, i cant find anywhere to stream it where its not the american or european one, this really pisses me off..
I had to look this up lol. I’ve seen the whole series years ago and I remember it with the first intro, but just started watching it again on Netflix and all the episodes use the third intro.
Everybody lies..
Everybody dies.
Thanks for all Gregory House 👏👏
The third one is my favourite.^^
Seraph Piano Sheets my too
Ah you're crazy, nothing beats the original theme. The instrumental music of teardrop just touches the soul.
Me too dude! That is the first theme they introduced.
Yeah, and unfortunatly this version inst included in the teardrop - massive, is a totally different tune that i never found the name, maybe it was done for the show itself. The european and the american, (second and first ones) used parts from teardrop - massive.
I really like all of them, but i think the third one is my favorite too
yes
86 people have sarcoidosis
@@wildtypeborp Its never lupus
Treat them with broad spectrum antibiotics
Well, I actually have 🤣
Could be Wilson's
give them some steorids
I never even realized these three openings were different. The first one sounds more ominous. I somehow attach it to the episode where a kid gets taken by an alien, then the next shot he's lying down bloody on the garden. I was like 10 and it terrified me but I couldn't stop watching anyway. Easily my favorite non-cartoon show as a kid.
This show made me wanna become a doctor 👨⚕️
After one year you become one?
This made me become a doctor…
…Almost
I'm in the third year, in USP
South America 2nd best med school
And it all started with that episode of the kid who saw aliens.
If one day I see Hugh Larie I'll probably hug him while crying
Purple Shaft keep pushing brother best wishes in your journey it was one of my moms favorite shows she loved which why i got into it.
Me too but then I fell in love with physics at 13 but ironically medicine is easier
onion paradox I felt that
1:07 European starts.
thats weird, i used the watch the german dub, and it has the middle one as the theme song
Yeah, me too
Same
In Italy too.
same in portugal
Yep, same for the french version
I use this as my primary study music when I’m having long times of reading for exams. I put it on repeat and I get into study mode. And yes I’m aiming to get into medical school!
Same in Spain!!😂😂
Same taking MCAT in 2 months.
Med school right now, i always hear this pice of art to inspire me
I'm Europeon, watched all 8 seasons and I have NEVER heard the Europeon intro
*European
Have you tried turning your European off and on again?
The third song is for first european season, the second song is for the rest of european seasons
@@monitor1492 nope - wasn't the guess
In spain, yes
Ahh, the Singaporean one is the one on Netflix, IN THE US.
And the European one. What the heck, Netflix?
It's also played in Poland.
punio7 Also in Latin America
and the Canadian one, teardrop is so much better!
Singaporean one in Czech Republic too! Looks like it's the best one.
I like the American theme best
The best part about the American theme is that the drum beat actually sounds like a heartbeat.
@@markzylstra2947 And they used similar internal imagery of the body in the video of course.
I absolutely love the European one
The Singapore one sounds like I'm listening to the European one through a broken set of headphones
You can't beat Teardrop by Massive Attack. It's a perfect fit.
yeah 100% best one!
I agree
@KYLE RITTENHOUSE - COMMUNIST EXTERMINATOR
I grew up with the last one so nostalgia beats teardrop. Sorry
I agree, it's not even close. I was just watching an episode on the H&I (Heroes & Icons channel on cable) and I think they have the Singapore one playing. I was wondering what the hell was going on because it wasn't the brilliant one I remembered.
@KYLE RITTENHOUSE - COMMUNIST EXTERMINATOR assuming that’s the second one then yes, 3 is close though, I think Singapore has the best intro.
I feel like the first one is the best but the 2nd and 3rd once’s are just as good if you hear them over and over again
I'll never forgive Netflix for using the Singaporean theme: may as well swap the vicodin for tylenol 4.
I think it's actually the best, followed by the European and last the American.
MAILEN CHANNEL good for you.
European is the 2nd best. I get tired of listening to those soft drums of the singaporean
From what I remember during my binge of the show, the first half of the first season actually uses the European version... I remember actually freaking out when it changed on me... Never once did I hear the American version of the song... I was super confused when I looked up the song and didn't recognize it... Does anyone know the songs that the other two themes originate from?
+har112myself singaporean version is better tbh
0:33 my favourite House Intro 😁
Everyone is all about that EU and US themes while I'm here loving the Singaporean one
@@eleanorcrabb7752 Its the French Canadian theme as well
In the uk we have the Singapore one
I like the Singaporean one too!!!
the singaporean theme is apparently not the singaporean theme, and is actually the european theme
I've been watching house on prime video and the openers change with every season
The first one (Teardrop by Massive Heart Attack) is so amazingly good, I can hear that song over and over again.
0:34 - The best music. Always wanted to watch House MD after this opening.
+Wookie no way the original TearDrop by Massive Attack is the best opening.
+Wookie haha same here. Everyday when I watch the show, I never wanted to miss this.
After watching all 8 seasons on Netflix, I just became so used to this one and it became my favorite one lol.
Exactlyyyy
+Wookie I also find it the most fitting one for the intro.
Love how IMO the intros for the selected seasons of the show kind of show of the vibe of each part, the first couple seasons is the crew having fun and it's the intro in the middle, the next is funky with the first one, the last is also last kinda dark n serious
This just helped resolve an office argument, so thank you!
I like the third one the best
It`s the best.
why did they get rid of it it's really good.
+FARTS FOR EYES JUNIOR.
They didn't. Netflix chooses whatever, and it's based how you watch the show.
FARTS FOR EYES JUNIOR. İ
Indeed the best
I can listen to 3 of 'em in continuous loop.
Kinda crazy that in Brazil they use the Singaporean version... the three openings are nice af!
But since I'm a Massive Attack fan of course my favourite is now the American version.
Thanks for sharing this video!
Throwbacks of those evenings when this show was still going. Sometimes I wish it would just continue ... Such a great show.
I like european the most
+Matthijs van Rijswijk True.
+Matthijs van Rijswijk
It's a close call with the American version.
The European is the most tuneful.
I like all the intros equally.
This video made me realize House MD in latin america also uses the singaporean intro. No wonder everytime I looked for the House theme song it played at such a different tone than the one I remembered.
IDK why did we need so many variations, the OG Teardrop is magnificent, couldn't be better than that.
ruclips.net/video/ovU4ESybz-U/видео.html has an explanation in the description from the band themselves.
Probably didn't want to pay royalties to the band,in addition to whatever usage fees they were paying to Fox.
So true bro..1st is the best
I think the european one is a good fit because it has a detective feel to it, and diagnostics is very similar to detective work.
We've had the second version here in Germany in TV, so I'm used to that and like it the most.
I think the first version sounds a bit too dark
The europeon one fits more because its handmade just for the intro, while the american one is the visual made to the song
Exactly, there is one "touch" of piano on each slide of the intro.
Handmade for the intro? Was it really?
The American one is an original song by massive attack that was made before the show came out. The European one is basically just a song they made to sound as similar to the American as possible without infringing on copyright. The Singapore one is a little ridiculous and the last one made, it too is just coping the original song with a little bit of hip hop beat added in to make it more modern.
I love the 2nd one
Kairasu Well, that escalated quickly!
Mee too

I'm a resident and the previous owner of my pager set the ringtone with this theme. I'm so grateful because it feels really cool when it rings while I'm walking through the hospital corridors 😎
Im watching House on Netflix in the US but I only hear the Singapore version. I am used to it now so the American version sounds really weird to me....
Riley Johnson Right? Hahah. I looked up Teardrop to listen to it and was surprised it wasn't the theme I was used to. I wonder why Netflix has a different theme.
+Alexandria Kudlinski Netflix has a different theme because of copyright
Riley Johnson I'm watching on Netflix but I only hear the European version because I'm brazilian and here they use it in the dubbed version, but I don't know if it's only in the first season.
+Alex Mitchell in the first season they used the european, later on the singapore (at least to season 4, that's where I am right now)
+Riley Johnson its the same for all the seasons :( i went threw tham all and was like man where is the american version
This is the best TV show of all time. Fuck off Breaking Bad, fuck off The Walking Dead and fuck off Game Of Thrones. Not saying those are bad shows, but nothing comes close to the genius that is House.
No it's not. House is great but most cases are so fucking similar in plot. Breaking bad and the wire beat by a mile.
Examples please.
Dude. Id love to try the kind of drugs you are on because Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead fuck these shows in the ass with a Cactus
Platformadam You either have never seen House or you're just not mentally capable of appreciating it.
Platformadam I have self-esteem issues? Why, then, are you the one making sure to contradict yourself by saying House is great after I questioned your mental capabilities? It seems to me like you really need to make sure that everyone knows that you're not stupid. I can deal with you thinking I'm an asshole, I really don't care. You seem to lack that healthy level of indifference toward internet strangers. And also you seem to lack basic school education as your grammar is absolutely abhorrent.
Yeah, you're right, I'm an asshole. Go cry me a river, you dimwitted, lobotomized preschool-dropout.
Notice how @ 0:28, David Shore is "the Head" ..Slick!! wow
Oh Boy
This intro has no business being this good. What a BANGER😤
i just started with the first episode today.
sean garcia thanks. So far on ep 11 has been great. Very good so far.
Tord L I just finished the show, wow
Templarkiller Gaming nice .It was good i assume. I have 4 episodes left of season 1 i think so i have just started. So far is great.
Tord L It was, but the characters look different from age and it is weird when you look back
Templarkiller Gaming i see. Yeah i can get that.
The American version is just such unreal nostalgia for me.
Damn loved this show so much
I love the third one. I wish it was a full song
There it is ruclips.net/video/IF7g1mWOpUA/видео.html
I'm rewatching the whole series online so I know all those themes but as a French, I can tell you that we had the Massive Attack intro, my favorite !
I do perfer the american intro over the other ones. But at least all the intros don't seem off, all of them sync well with the intro.
00:34 House MD Spanish tv intro :D
Si cierto, esa intro me transporta a los 2000's, cuando veía está serie y Smallville y "Héroes", que hermosos programas :'D

I literally discovered 1:39 minutes ago that there were 3 intros. In Italy, I’ve always seen House MD with the Singaporean version.
The European intro used to play during the first season.
Nah I remember it was played at least till the third season, I was a kid we used to watch it every Sunday evening after dinner. I was so shocked and disappointed when it changed.
@@gwenchase97 that could be. I think it's different in every country. For example I've never heard the "teardrop" one and I didn't know that song was actually Dr House's opening.
Though I agree, it was disappointing not hearing the European one anymore
@@valthewildling2112 what I love the most about it it's how it goes just right with the visuals. Teardrop is not bad imo. The last one I just don't like it.
Teardrop (first intro) really fits the whole of the series, I think. It feels clinical in a way that sends chills down your spine, but the deeper notes highlight the emotions so well.
But I am a sucker for the Singaporean one, since it was the first one I heard, but it gives the show more of a hopeful feeling that gets me hyped to watch it.
The euro one I could honestly care less about
