- We bought a house and are moving! Come check out our new house tour! So much to update and clean and move and it’s been crazy because of the holidays but we are finally preparing to move in. I have a lot to do when we get inside, unpacking and organizing the new house but hopefully by this weekend we will be staying our first night in the new house. Omg so much yes!!!! When we walked in I felt amazing. I painted some things white to brighten and we want to stay in the vintage / functional aspect of the home. I’ll decorate but I don’t want noise lol it’s so cozy.

They left some good furniture in there. You could Google the furniture and price them. Downstairs could be a theater room. There’s some popcorn and snacks.❤ I’m so happy for you girl. Can’t wait to see what you do with the place.

Such a great find! A unique home with lots of character. I'm so excited to see what you end up doing with it! Just a note of advice, do not be afraid to leave a room untouched while you plan out exactly what is you want to do with it. I'm sure it can get costly and I wish someone had told me that it was okay to have an empty space when you first move in and slowly fill it with pieces you know you'll love later on.

James and I felt the same way here. It’s just traditional cozy and easy going inside. I said I will have fun with my decor, let’s brighten up some areas and refresh but keep the vibe. Definitely staying vintage.

Wow! So cool! From my folks home-a good added security piece on the sliding door-just a long fairly thick piece of wood that fits in the side with the track.
A rolling island would add to your counter space in the kitchen-which is really pretty! It’s all going to be so cute! Huge garage! Please donate that potty chair to the Salvation Army-that is actually an item that will really help someone-as I found out a few years ago-if someone does not have insurance, they often don’t get all these needed items from the hospital (😡).

Regarding the basement carpeting. Hear me out... I think it would be so cool to keep it. Paint the lower yellow cabinets a different color and change the pendant lighting to lights that will play off the whole 60's psychedelic theme!
We live near Chicago, and they have this bar called "The Broken Shaker." It has that whole 70's Bohemian vibe, and we love it. You could check out some pics online.

I wanted a similar thing, like Aladdin vibes but we will see. We put some stuff down there and changed the carpet so far but we are still deciding

I LOVED them then and still love them now 😊 So much character in a very well cared for home! I see you have a old sewing machine or sweing machine table downstairs keep it. It's in great shape. You will find another one. That's antique or vintage. I love your new home! My best guess for what year that carpet came about would be 1967. It has a very 60s/70s vibe to it! I love that you gave your oldest daughter the other master bedroom, but I think your office would be amazing in the room you're making your master bedroom. Especially with all that cubby storage and with it being off the family room and with the laundry room there. Either way, I am just SO excited for you and your family! I love how excited and emotional you are to have it, and I'm sure the family of the previous owners feel good about it going to someone that will love it as much as they did. That basement! WOW! This house is awesome!!! I wouldn’t change much….that bar area is so cool too! The shelves opposite of the fridge would be perfect for can goods. Such a cool house!

Oh yea absolutely. Mainly organizing and unpack and update overview and cleaning because many of the updates got done so quickly and by companies so I couldn’t film. There is some changes though 😊

I love this house! Not only is it beautiful but the owners took great care of it, & left yall some nice stuff. I mean it's pretty much move in ready if you wanted to. There's enough couches & things to fill empty spaces from the bedrooms. I even like the funky basement carpet. & I think I saw a small organ or piano in the garage. Can't wait to see what you have done & will do with the place. I hope yall have a fenced in back yard. That would save on the dogs tearing up your couches. Congratulations! So happy for yall. So happy for you and your family I watch your channel all the time .I have a suggestion that table in the garage can be used as a card /game table in your basement.You have so many jewels all those dressers can be used as entry/buffet or display tables so neat for storage.Also they can be use in your dining area for china/wine glasses and silverware those dressers are not replaceable nothings made well like those and they can be painted. I love it ❤️
