My favorite badminton player. Before his accident his H2H against Axelsen was 14-1, let that sink in. It's a tragedy for the sport what happened to him, but I hope he can still find joy in competing.

how appropriate! using nostalgic EDM songs popular in the 2010s for a Kento Momota video, a player who was also great in the 2010s!

Very sad watching this video, because we all know this form of Momota is long gone since he had that nearly fatal car accident…and since then his ability has dropped like fallen down a cliff and never able to climb back up 😢

Get a new coach, lose his temper sometimes and smash a few racquets, get a new haircut… something. To rediscover that love to compete again.
As he said himself, he’s lost the desire to compete, and I think that’s the main reason.

last time he can do this sort of net shot(in the video), now he is just lighting and getting smashed at.

What he need is to change new tactics. Even Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei change their gamestyle as they aging. Thats why Axelsen keep on improving while Momota is stuck in the past. Dont blame accident or covid. Even Lee Chong Wei that had to battle nose cancer can bounce back and win tittle.

Even LCW, LIN DAN and AXELSEN cannot play with double vision.. how you will play with double vision?, u see double suttlecock coming to you?. It’s like you choose one which is the right shuttlecock to smash.. even marc marques hard to comeback to his peak performance with those problem.. 🗿
