Palden Lhamo ("Glorious Goddess",Tibetan: དཔལ་ལྡན་ལྷ་མོ།) or Remati are all forms of Shri Devi a category of female tantric buddhist deity who appears in dozens of different forms. She usually appears as a wrathful deity with a primary role as a dharmapala. She is specifically a Wisdom Protector, an enlightened being.
Palden Lhamo is a wrathful protective goddess whose wisdom and compassion overcome every obstacle. She is the special protector of the Dalai Lamas and the Tibetan government, having been established in that role by the Second Dalai Lama, Gendun Gyatso (1475-1542).
Palden Lhamo is one of three Dharmapalas of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism alongside Mahakala and Yamantaka[6] She is the wrathful deity considered to be the principal protectress of Tibet.
Palden Lhamo appears in the retinue of the Obstacle-Removing Mahākāla as an independent figure and has been described as "the tutelary deity of Tibet and its government" and as "celebrated all over Tibet and Mongolia, and the potent protector of the Dalai and Panchen Lamas and Lhasa"
Palden Lhamo, as the female guardian spirit of the sacred lake, Lhamo La-tso, promised the 1st Dalai Lama in a vision "that she would protect the reincarnation lineage of the Dalai Lamas. Since the 2nd Dalai Lama, who formalised the system, regents and other monks have gone to the lake to meditate and seek guidance on choosing the next reincarnation through visions.
The particular form of Palden Lhamo at Lhamo La-tso is Gyelmo Makzor Ma (Wylie: rgyal mo dmag zor ma "Queen Torma Mother") or Machik Pellha Zhiwé Nyamchen (Wylie: ma gcig dpal lha zhi ba'i nyams can "Pacified Expression of the Common Wife Palden Lhamo"), an unusually peaceful form of Palden Lhamo. The lake is sometimes referred to as "Palden Lhamo Kalideva", indicating that she is an emanation of the goddess Kali.
The mountain to the south of Chokorgyel Monastery is the "blue" residence of Palden Lhamo, on which a sky burial site is located. The monastery was originally built in a triangular form to reflect the symbolism of its position at the confluence of three rivers and surrounded by three mountains and also represents the conjunction of the three elements of water, earth and fire, as well as the female principle of Palden Lhamo in the symbolic form of an inverted triangle.

@Archit misal In general people would not want to be a monk. There is too much in the ordinary life to give up. I'm a monk but do not look like one because I wear my robe in my heart.
I don't see being a monk as cool, though I don't see why it can't be cool. To me it's my calling. I've lived my ordinary/lay life, now I'm living my holy life.
Not all humans will appreciate or like to hear this chant. But If you accumulated a lot of Sufferings, BAD ACTIONS or Sins in the past and this lifetime and its too much. Then this is the BEST CHANT FOR YOU TO LISTEN AND PRACTICE. Like a sick man finding a suitable doctor to heal him with a right prescription or antidote.. NAMASTE🙏🙏🎉

I lived in Thailand and loved the Temples. Visiting often. Now I return to the middle of the US, and the closest one is 30 minutes by car and closed for a year. Not easy finding what one needs I guess.

@@meilinchan7314 I think she means the instrumental---some with vocals or chants added in too--meditation music channels on here, meaning that even if they do have singing bowls or chants, ect. in them, often they will also use or put a separate musical track, added on to or over the actual monastery sounds and Tantric chants--and while these outside musical tracks can be pretty and relaxing, good for sitting quietly to or falling asleep to, I too feel they can be distracting to actual focused Tantric practice. I too like that this does not have an instrumental music track added in (on top of it---to it) later...but is just the actual monastery sounds alone on their own. :)

I have begun using this during some of my meditation and yoga practice and it really helps to keep me focused on the present moment and not to think about anything negative.

I learned after living in Asia, Buddhism has as many flavours as Baskin-Robbins. A Chinese girlfriend I had was sort of a blend of Confucian, Tao, and Buddhist thought. Tibetan Buddhism is different than Thai Buddhism, Myanmar is different and even has militant monks. My wife was half Tibetan and was born in Lhasa.
