Ive been Relaxed and Natural, and I've NEVER and NEVER WILL leave relaxer on LONGER, than usual time and my time is 20 min. or less, but usually 15min...Neither Natural or Relaxed) is BAD, we do what's works for us...and i HOPE, BETTER products comes available for us to Straighten our hair..Also spending so much money to get our hair done is just too much to me...we do too much(Braids, Weave, Wigs and Color) those are ALOT....and they COST...
I've been having my hair relaxed for over 40yrs and found it never done any harm, in fact my hair has always looked so good, strangers stopped me asking where I get my hair done, as they thought I was wearing weave. You cant just relaxed and don't treat your hair. That's dangerous ! You need to treat your hair at least once monthly to put the strength taken by the chemicals, back into your hair. Unfortunately, the craze of texture release came in, where obviously, these product developers and hairdressers, realised that they can earn more money from us, they started to promote this new products without giving us the facts on who it's best for and how to maintain it. I stupidly tried after several persuasions and after just one treatment my hair started to thin out and break. I'm now trying to get my hair back to it's full glory. It's not the relaxer perse, it's how you care for your hair. My hair is natural now and I have no idea how to maintain it, without it getting dry and frizzy. I would go back to relaxing any day, if my hairdresser would do it, but she won't, until my hair is back to it's optimum condition.
A silk press can straighten hair nobody needs relaxers for straight hair. Chemical and heat damages hair. Leave your hair the natural texture and it will be healthy.
My one time hair stylist! Mr. Maxwell Very good, gentle and professional. Those days i had relaxed hair, he took good care of my hair! My relaxed hair was bouncy! He is recommendable! Big up urself Wayne!!
My hair started growing after removing the relax portion of my hair, and completely going natural. I am 38 years old next month, and my hair has been relaxed since I was 13 year. I feel like brand new. I am so in love with my hair, and I am now on a mission to discourage women from relaxing. If you like other race hair so much wear/make a wig. Creme is so bad for you.
@v.agodfrey4997 You needs to be educated about the reasons people ditch their natural hair, for one some people have busy lifestyles and 4c hair is very difficult to manage. Black people loves their own hair but fell in love with the easy way out. You could do better thinking wise. Some of us love the easy way out. These things was only meant for certain occasions. We love our own hair from time it's thick and luscious It's versatile long or short Speak for yourself please.
You don't need to relax your hair to make it manageable. I stopping rekaxing my hair 10 years ago. I have a keratin treatment ones a year and my hair is waist length. I moisturise my hair regularly, and I still have my afro curls😊
My hair was do, so thick that I used hair relaxer for 55 years, but I was stupid, I use to always leave relaxer in my hair after recommended time, until my scalp burned hot , This gave me a lot of medical problems that will definitely end my life faster than I should have died. 😢
My hair is natural I love to play in it I don't like braid or locks I just like to comb it out and play in it looking for some good moisturizer but the truth is if am going out I cover with a nice head piece or a wig but I love to play in my natural hair don't feel real with perm
PEOPLE WHO NEVER CREME THEIR HAIR FROM THEY WERE BORN...STILL SUFFER N ENDED UP DYING ANYWAYS. JUST DONT OVER DO IT!!! I AM NOT GOING TO STOP CREMING / RFLAXING.
Some women hair are too thick, they need a relaxer to soften their hair, it is painful to comb, the mixed race women have a better option to go natural. Like our moderator there.
Some women stopped using the relaxer and now have the wig picking off them head side, wow what a trade off we need to do something better for black hair care
I do believe that the chemical in hair relaxer that will get in your pores and create a health danger as it seeps in your body I also have great concerns about hair dye just to inhale these chemical can be very harmful to your organs or breathing systems

I relax my hair very often by not combing it. It is very relaxed and stress free. Try it.

Hair products too
And meat, process food

Not true. you can put fresh aloe vera juice/ gel in your hair and comb it, no matter how thick it is, the comb will go right through.
I'm going to get one today😮

Mizani is the best hair relaxer and Vitale.
Go and read the ingredients in it
the best hair relaxer is to leave your hair alone and stop chemically burning it.

Good morning,
Your mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother were brainwashed by Europeans to hate the texture of their hair.
In the 18th Century, British colonists( slave master) deemed African hair as closer to sheep wool than human hair, setting the precedent that white hair is preferable- or " good", and African hair is bad.
Think black women should stop wearing wigs & relaxing there hair be more natural
