I need to know how to wire a right tail light on my 1946 Chevy truck. It came with only 1 tail Light How & where do I make the wire connection. Help please
Just hook a wire to the hot on the light you have and run it to the other side for the new light. Just ground off the new light where you can. If you need more help just ask. I also have videos on how to hook up running lights and turn signals if you need them.
Simple as can be , quick, short HELPFUL video. HELPS me alot on my Honda racecar build. Thanks
I understand the wiring of the switch. How do the wires go to the brake lights themselves?
Most pointless video without addressing this
RIGHT!!!
Thanks bro...I'm trying to hook up my brake lights on my 64 c20 truck
I'm going to do this. Bought an old farm truck. Crawled underneath it & it's wiring mayhem.
Do i need to connect the power wire directly to the battery? Do i need a fuse between the battery and the switch? Thanks in advance
No you can come from the fuse panel. But if you come from the battery you do need a fuse in between.
@@streetstancecivicgarage Thank you so much
Thanks Justin 😊
Yep thanks for watching. Have a great day.
How about like the top 3rd one because I was going to change the bulb but then found out that it didn’t even have the wire/connector for it
Just run a hot wire off your rear brake light to it. Then ground it inside the light mount.
What if you need stop, and turn signals too??
I have a video of wiring turn signals on my channel. If you need more help. Just ask I will help as much as I can.
I have to do this in my 240sx🥹
Clean the contacts on the taillight connectors. I had to sand mine. Also brake stop lamp switch if they’re staying on all the time.

What about the fuse
That’s what i was thinking im doing this for my 64 impala but putting in an inline fuse on the wire coming from the battery
Where are the lights grounded.
You can ground the lights on the chassis anywhere you are able to. You can use a nut cert or a self tapper.
