      Yeah recency bias got Gesicki big time but Jake may also be thinking that doesn't matter since the "pushing 30 bias" gets everybody whether they're fortunate enough to be on a team that uses them or not.. so there's a non-0 chance Mike will never be that good again

    Omg the TE room is better. No discusuon is needed. It’s obviously better. Last year we had Sample, Irv Smith jr, Hudson, Wilcox. This year we have Giesiki, Sample, Hudson, All, Maclocklin. I misspelled that last one. So we deleted the worst part of the room with was Irv Smith and Mitch Wilcox. I like Wilcox and think he is a fine TE3 or TE4 but that’s it. We added a 28 years old 6’6’’ 248 lb Geisiki who runs 4.54 by the way. Yes he is faster than Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. Yes he is look it up. We brought back the best parts of the room which is Sample and Hudson and added Geisiki and 2 promising rookies. Even if it was just Geisiki, Sample, and Hudson it would still be better than last year.

    I follow the Bengals very closely. I can name everyone on the team and practice squad where they went to college, whether they were all American or All Conference, some of their measurables like 40 time and arm length height and weight. I research every single player on the team. That includes the pre 53 man roster team when they have up to 90 players. I can tell you right here right now that the Bengals are unequivocally better than they were last year. You might say how can you lose Tyler Boyd, Joe Mixon, and DJ Reader and be better. Well Mixon and Boyd are on the back nine of their careers. Fair to say their best football is behind them. And DJ Reader for as good as he is the Bengals were still bad at stippping the run last year even when he was on the field. If Reader hadn’t sustained identical season ending injuries in 2 of his 4 year co tract I think he would still be playing for us today. Why do I think we are better? Because Burrow is pissed and wants to prove to EVERYONE on this planet that he was picked 1st overall because he is the best at what he does. Higgins is In a contract year. He is motivated to have a career year. Cam Sample and Joseph Ossai are in contract years. I believe Ossai is going to go off this year. Trey is Trey he is a top 5 edge. Sam Hubbard is the best DE from his draft class to date. He empties the effort bucket on every single play. We have a fresh infusion of young hungry players. Charlie Jones and Iosivas are hungry. Chase Brown is hungry. I feel something building with this team that I have t felt since 2021. The offensive line is better. Trent Brown is better than Jonah Williams. Mims is going to be better than both of them. I have faith in Cordell Volson. I think he will continue getting better like he has been his first 2 years. And we have some better depth on the offensive line. Mims at tackle and Lee at center. I guess Ford will be a backup guard. Also that udfa they got from Louisville the offensive tackle Miller. Eric Miller I think his name is. He is 6’8’’ 312 pounds. Maybe they found something with him. There are a couple of people on the roster that I think can make an impact. Devonsha Maxwell the DT and Travis Bell the 6’ 310 lb Nose Tackle. I think one of those guys will be on the 53 either this year or definantly never year. I like Bell a lot. He is strong as fuck. He did as many reps on the bench press as DJ Reader did. He is shorter so he can get underneath linemen’s pass easily and he is athletic as fuck for a NT. I think his RAS is above 7.

      I am from Europe so I don't understand everything, there is one thing that nobody talk about and I am wondering why? Bengals have 3 guys 6-8 and 350+, why woudn't you have those three together and create running game threath with them. If they push together in same direction they should push defense few yards every time and RB could get extra yard or two. You can have 5+2 yards in every drive. Something like brotherly push from Eagles two years ago. Is this possible tactics or not?

    They have a clear upgrade at TE I really don't think there is any argument that that room isn't better then last year. Not only do they have Mike but they brought in 2 promising rookies in the draft. That room could have a huge impact this year. More then we even seen in 2021 and 2022

  • @NathanDean79
    @NathanDean79 25 дней назад +6

    Jake WHAT?! How can you say the TE room is deeper but not significantly better?! It is significantly better and deeper. You Drop Irv Smith and Wilcox and replace them with a TE with 4.54 speed who has had a year where he almost had 800 yards who is 28 years old and you add 2 promising rookies. One of the PFF guys I think Sickama has All as his TE3 in this draft class. Had it not been for the injury All probably goes in round 2 or 3. And the kid from Arizona is promising too. He broke some of Gronks records at Arizona. Let me repeat that he broke some of GRONKS records at Arizona. If you asked me which room is clearly and unequivocally better I would say the TE room!

  • @NathanDean79
    @NathanDean79 24 дня назад +4

    Dax Hill NEVER played free safety at Michigan James! He played NICKEL CB! And he will be the starting nickel CB in 2025. Dax can play Stong Safety but we have 2 of those. Bell and Battle. Battle for the record could play any position in the secondary except outside CB. But Dax will be an excellent nickel corner. He might even be able to play outside CB. He is certainly athletic enough. Cam Taylor Britt also played safety as well as outside CB in college. I’ll bet no one knew that. I don’t know which safety position he played. And for all those people who say that both safety’s do the exact same thing no they don’t. If they did the same thing then both positions would just be called safety. Sort of like both outside CBs are just CBs. The fact that they have different names for the safeties also suggest differences. Free safety and Strong safety are differant. When you see coverage that has only one high safety 99% of the time that’s your free safety. Dax isn’t good at that. Dax is better closer to the Los. Nickel CB or box strong safety. I think he can play outside too but we already have 2 starting CBs.

    Burrows health will be fine. Everyone who plays this game gets hurt at some point. Even Tom Brady tore an ACL and MCL. I saw Burrow throwing in practice and he looks like he always have. Burrow played 20 straight games in 2021 because all the starters sat the last game. In 2022 he plays 19 straight games. Should have been 20 but a game was canceled.

    From my perspective that doesn't matter to anyone HAHAHA Tee and Boyd both got distracted with you all constantly asking them about Borrow getting paid so much! Greed got in their heads especially when Chase started saying he was up next!!! Higgens had 3 or 4 drops in the first 4 or 5 games. He made Borrows Leg look a lot worse. In fact, we probably would have won the firs two games if Tee would have just caught the ball... Reader was a loss yes BUT last season even when he was healthy, the Bengals' run defense was still bad man... People are talking like we lost a Pro bowl player, but reader got hurt "again." Doesn't he get hurt every year? SO, the people we used to fill that spot look pretty good to me!!! Losing Mixon was a blow and I know Moss looks like he has his legs tied together compared to watching Mixon run but honestly, I didn't watch every game Moss played so I hope we will be ok there... Brown will do better than Moss but we shall see!!! All that said I think we are WAY deeper of a team than any time with Borrow!!!! 17-0 baby!!! HAHAH

      Reader in his prime, age-wise, missed 22 out of a possible 66 regular season games here due to injury. Now he's going to be over 30 AND coming off of a MAJOR injury. Moss is more explosive than Mixon, just maybe not as consistent.

    Too many people smitten with Reader. He did have some good “runs” when he wasn’t injured. But last year’s run defense with him in there was not that good so don’t tell me that the combination of Rankins and Jenkins is a significant down grade bc Reader isn’t even going start this year healthy!! Reader averages just over 1 sack per year! Actually 1.2 per year! I know it’s not all about sacks but one per year and can’t stay on the field???? Good guy, good teammate, I liked him but …. Ready to see what Rankins and Jenkins can do!!!

  • @pdureska7814
    @pdureska7814 21 день назад

    It remains to be seen. Will Stone stabilize the safety position with Bell? Are Sheldon, Jenkins and Jackson going to improve the D line significantly over last year and the loss of DJ Reader? Do we have a CB opposite Britt or will the Dax Hill experiment flounder. On paper things look better but then again, anything is better than last years NFL worst defense. On offense, we have 5 tight ends. How will Pitcher use them. Our running backs are small with no big banger like Perine who was sorely missed. The O line MUST play better and up to potential. Mims was a great addition i believe. However if one of the interior linemen go down with injury we are screwed as the backups not good and i'm sorry but i doubt Matt Lee a 7th round center only draftee will make an impact.
    Finally Burrow must be and stay healthy. Can Pitcher bring the offense to its full potential. Taylor and Callahan were in love with passing and ignored the run game. Look at teams who made the championship games and super Bowl. Great defense (which we dont have), a strong running game (which we dont have) and a dominant O line (which we dont have). I'm sorry but we need A LOT to go right this year for this team to make a deep playoff run or Super Bowl run.

That and Burrow hurt himself in preseason, and was not ready week one, or two, week four, 1-3 just like that and 0-2 in the division. Yes, Burrow's return will help this year but if you remember, other than QB, the rest of that team stayed relatively healthy throughout and flopped in many areas. This year? I would not get my hopes up, other teams have improved also, especially in the division. Kind of stinks when Cleveland, with a backup QB, went to the playoffs along with every other team in the division also. Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson, and Russell Wilson are in the division this coming season. They all can run too, can Joe? For his life perhaps.

    1st of all I would not have a just a slot WR. Every receiver on the team would get slot snaps and outside snaps. I think haveing a dedicated slot WR that you always use every play makes you pridictable. When Biyd is in the field they know what he is doing. Burton and Charlie Jones would get a little more slot snaps than the others. And I would use Chase a bit more in the slot. Irwin is a fine slot receiver. I mean our WR room is so dam good it’s scary. Tee Higgins is the slowest WR on the team. Huh yea he is. But his size and route running make up for the lack of blazing speed. Geisiki plays in the slot a lot. Hudson same thing. Sample is a great blocker but like his second year when he had 40 catches and 400 yards he can catch the ball pretty well and he isn’t exactly slow. He Drew Sample has an RAS of 8.99. Baltimore passrush is why he benefited and caught 7 ints... burrows telegraphed backside post to Tee that he intercepted was his best on the year because we ran the exact same play against Cleveland and almost had the same result except their safety dropped it... stone caught... I give him credit he made the plays but people acting like we Jesse Bates back there... the communication isn't just on Hill... the bengals when fucking cheap and brought in a guy from the rams who's athletic and was simply a special teams guys and tried to sell us in this shit... hill is a 1st rounder and if he's labeled a bust it's in the coaching staff and not him... stone if u watch his tape caught 5 overthrown passes off target... I'm not hating bro the tape don't lie... but because stats don't lie either people see the production on paper and yes on paper stone had a monster year and hills was meh... against in paper our roaster was supposed to be good but injuries derailed the whole thing... bell being back should help and I don't think hill is a bust... I think what they ask them to do is too limiting in some ways... bates leaves goes to Atlanta and has a career year 😕... hill is more talented, faster, and athletic than bates... it cant be hill is trash sorry... at some point u have to look at the coaching staff and front office that have picked players that don't fit this system or reached on olinemen, or just simply been a day late and a dollar short... Burrow can't save them from not having a plan... he's don't it for a couple of years now and guess what last year found out again oh we need to have a more diverse offense but yet... they still failed to run the ball 😕... anyway hill is massively talented and I hope stone repeats his performance in better coverage...

    When you have to keep asking this same question over and over again "have they improved?" the answer is more and more likely going to be "no." On a different note, they are asking for more money for Stadium Renovations. Answer, where is your Super Bowl Trophy? Not saying I would say yes either way but the way it stands "H" (and you know what stands for) no. My first prediction for training camp is Mims gets hauled away on a cart with a season ending knee injury. Got that feeling folks. Could have maybe bargained a bit more with Tyler Boyd had they kicked Drew Sample to the curb but hey, always second best never first, give the depth a three year deal. Maybe they will haul him off the practice field instead of Mims. Bengals are usually not so lucky.

    • @bigj6143
      @bigj6143 25 дней назад

      Yes Volson was a problem a year ago. So was the entire defense, except Hendrickson, who asked for a trade. Cappa and Karris had opposing teams footprints on their head after getting run over. Mixon has been replaced by another inferior teams backup running back. Tight End play does not exist, it helps the OL block. Gee, what else is wrong? If the running game isn't better Burrow will force more passes, not good. Teams like the Ravens made a big splash getting an excellent veteran STARTING RB. Philly signed both of their WRs to long term extensions. What's the Bengals excuse again? They will have many.

    You may not agree but I think that the reason the defense was so bad last year was because the offense was so bad! The defense had to be on the field far longer than they would have if the offense had been better in the games we lost.

    I get speaking objectively but this show was a far reach into the negative cup 🤦🏾 comparing to the 22 season when we just came out of the 23 season. Injury talk as if thats not applicable to every single important player while not looking at what he doing right now on the practice field. Acting like y'all were praising TB as a difference maker and didn't remotely speak to him still being on the team this year even before last season was over but now we're hurting because he's gone?!?! The TE take....🤦🏾🤦🏾 Y'all killed Mixon and praised the shit out of Moss and now it's the same level......yeah I can't even watch the rest of this video. I hope y'all have different vibes on the next video 🤦🏾 Who Dey

Definitely not giving him a pass on what happened. But you act like people don't do shit to get a reaction and when they get the reaction the players automatically guilty in the person that did the initiation is completely innocent miss me with that shit.
