    ❤️ Right needle thread, then left needle thread, then looper threads....I was floundering last week and ended up with confetti. This is much better! Thank you for sharing!!! 😍

    Again Jeanette step by step undoing serger stitches in a short amount of time. So easy and methodical--almost relaxing. Thanks again for all of your great videos.

    Oh my goodness.....That is amazing to watch, thank you. I've been using a seam ripper and laboriously unpicking serged seams, one at a time.... This will save me so much time as I seem to be unpicking a lot of seams at the moment - while I'm learning to sew cuffs etc 😂.
    Ps, The camera focus wasn't a problem... I just appreciate you taking the time to share helpful tips x

      I was one of those who had thread confetti!! The other videos weren’t really zooming in and showing where the threads were to pull out nicely and it was frustrating.

    I get so much out of your videos, they are very well done and so easy to see and understand! Can you show how to lock a chain stitch? I’m new to coverstitching and I find the seam-securing very troublesome, especially when it’s black on black. Have a Juki, so it’s not going to be like yours, but I’m guessing it’s similar. Thanks again!

      I normally don't ever do a chain stitch on my coverstitch machine but I will certainly attempt to do a video on how to lock a chainstitching. I'm glad my videos help.

      Jeanette Weger The finish on a lot of my nicer neck bands, one of them is a Liz Claiborne, is a half inch bound neckline with just a chain stitch ran over it so it’s finished on both sides. I’ve been noticing this type of finish more and more on the nicer neck bands. I am just pulling both threads to the back and tying them off, but sometimes it’s very difficult to see the thread colors. The people I sew for tend to like black and dark gray!

    Great tip! I have a babylock imagine serger but have barely used it. I want to get back into sewing for myself but want a coverstitch as mine doesn't do that function. I've watched a few of your videos and it seems that the brother 2340CV is going to fit the bill (and the pocketbook!). I have Bernina sewing machines but I just don't want to pay theirs or babylock's price for a coverstitch machine. The brother 2340CV seems like a great little machine. What thread do you use in your sergers?

    • @jeanetteweger5518
      @jeanetteweger5518  5 лет назад +1

      I use Maxilock or Surelock in the needles and Maxilock stretch in the looper because I sew strictly knit fabrics and fine brushed poly. Some will think the brother 2340 is for beginners but it's a workhorse. I sew everyday and I've had no problems.

    Does this work for the 3 thread serger stitch as well as the 4 thread?

    • @jeanetteweger5518
      @jeanetteweger5518  5 лет назад

      I'm not familiar with a 3 or 5 stitch overlook but I would assume it would, you will want to pull the needle thread first then the loopers. Or there may be videos out that cover the 3 or 5 stitch overlook machines.
