This is exactly why I decided to sub to your page my dude, literally a U.K exclusive! Thank you for the review. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on one (eventually) 😊
Thanks for subscribing 👍 Glad you found it useful, its not particularly easy to find them right now in the UK but they are starting to appear in different online retailers that ship worldwide.
I just bought it through your affili link! It still worked out cheaper than B&H and another site I found shipping from EU. Happy to support the channel anyway I can….Keep making GH6/7 content for the masses ❤️
Thank you, I really appreciate it 🙏 I still have plenty of GH6 content in my to-do list and eventually I am sure I will pick up the GH7 and fill in the gaps around that.
Speaking of the GH7, I just received my unit yesterday. I wanted to ask if you have gone into the menu in depth to find any settings you would like to recommend versus the settings you previously recommended for the GH6. Please advise....and thanks for all your videos!
Good stuff, enjoy your new camera 📸 I haven't had a chance to use one in-depth yet unfortunately. No problem, glad you are finding them useful 👍
Thank you for this review! Have you tried this dummy battery in the GH5S to Anker battery?
No problem, glad you found it useful 👍 I'll be doing some tests this week, one including compatibilty with my GH5.
@@stevelitton I'll be looking out for that! You have a new subscriber. Great content overall !
Thank you, I really appreciate it 👍
Great, i really need that. :)
Yeah its a good little accessory, worth the price tag in my opinion.
Hello Steven.
I have an issue using a 3rd party dummy battery adapter (bought it half a year before they made the dcc18) with a PD 9v/3a power bank (baseus adaman2 20k mah) and the problem is I don't get the 100/120fps video codec options while using an ssd.
I used the multimeter and the dummy adapter outputs 8.15-8.2V compared to the 7.2 on the blk-22.
However your video shows the official Panasonic dummy battery outputs 9V.
Could you use a multimeter on the connectors and check the actual voltage out of the adapter?
If not, that's ok, thanks for the informative Lumix videos.
Hey, thank you, glad to hear you are finding the videos helpful! I really went in to the rabbit hole of the high frames with dummy batteries. I made a few videos about it and this was my conclusion on what works, what doesn't and why 👉 ruclips.net/video/rUx_GyDOrac/видео.html
@@stevelitton Thanks, had missed the "cover pins with tape" video; now I know for sure the dummy adapter I have is poop and cannot output enough power to the camera even from a 9V3A power bank.
TYVM for the content.
@@haploguy Not the most scientific of examples but it seemed to work. No problem. I can highly recommend the DCC18, it is very good and not too expensive if you can find one in your region and not have to have it shipped internationally.
Thank you so much for the video. Can I power an external monitor as well with the Anker Nano simultaneously using the second USB port?
No problem, glad you found it helpful 👍 Planning to test it with my Feelworld F6 Plus this week. I don't think the Anker Nano would last long in that setup but I will give it a go.
I gave this a go and it didn't seen to deliver enough power to power on my monitor.
@@stevelitton noted. Thank you so much for taking time to test it for me. Really appreciate that.
@@amitj7034 No problem. I will try some other setups and see what I can do.
@@stevelitton Thanks again. I did some digging too. With the DCC18, one requires a minimum power supply of 27W and the battery provides 30W. May be thats the reason. The next best compact setup could be the Smallrig VB50 v-mount battery if one wants to power up more devices. Only thing is, it becomes too costly.
I haven't had a overheating issue yet on the G9II but in general will dummy battery keep the camera from getting as hot?
It would help in that regard as you are removing the battery heat from inside the camera.
I'm waiting for mine to ship... retailer has it in-stock, but I think they are waiting for my AC adapter pre-order to arrive before shipping both. I have had the larger Anker power bank for a while and plan on using a Core Nano X Micro 98 V-Mount battery with it as well.
I haven't seen any of those new AC11 adapters in stock anywhere yet. I didn't get that as I already have the AC10 adapter. Sounds like you have some good options once it all arrives.
@@stevelitton Yes, sir. My first LUMIX camera, but this was long overdue. I've always kept a keen eye on the GH-series for years.
@@GrayGhostDog1 Ah great. I am sure you will love it! 👍
Q. Can i use the usbc cable and my cellphone charger to get the power from the wall in events?
Yes, I am going to do a little video on that subject but yes you can do that.
steve, can you do 4k 120 on the dmw ddc18 ?
I haven't fully tested it yet with all of my batteries but Lumix claims that 4K 120fps is supported.
No news on real time LUTs for GH6 is there Steven, the only thing I would love on it. Not interested in AF stuff
I haven't seen anything unfortunately. I feel like they might hold that back, otherwise they would need to make it work with the Lumix Lab app which would involve changing the way you load LUTs in to the camera. I would have really liked to see the proxy feature make it to the GH6.
hi dude, working on gh5?
Hey, I gave it a test with my GH5 here 👉 ruclips.net/video/7atHNN4W2pA/видео.htmlsi=jGDkmuMPeOjjeJwK
