This has got to be the best AFTV interview I've watched in many years! Turkish just lays it down like it is. Stop faffing around and move like the big club you like to say we are. Love it!
THANK YOU, Turkish. You're spot on. If this club is serious, on January 1st, we'll have at least one big name player walking through the door. CAM, Striker, and Winger were all positions we needed at the end of last season, so we're already a transfer window behind. And with all those release clauses, if the club doesn't bring in anyone, they're telling us very clearly that they are not in this business to win trophies. They're here to sell fans' warm feelings
This club isn't serious and the vocal majority of this fanbase is not serious either. They are more concerned about CL football and club finances like the owners rather than winning trophies.
Arteta spent £600 million already and you want to talk about signing new players in Jan? MA made the wrong signings particularly by signing reject players, if there is one signing you need to make its a new manager.
To break such teams down, you need to play one-touch football. We hang on to the ball way too much. Way too many touches which slows the game down and makes it easier for teams to stay compact. Playing this way, it doesn't matter which striker we sign, we ain't going to score. I'd rather we sign a winger that could take players on than a striker, going by how we play, especially when our fullbacks don't like to bomb forward.
Spot on brother! It's all about letting opposite team get into our half, steal the ball from them and then quickly counter attack with 2-3 passes. The problem is we defend in 9-10 man so there is no one waiting for that counter... I understand this low block of Arteta's defence when we play against top top teams, but Ipswich...
Here's the thing... We played like that a few seasons ago... And we didn't win the league... We didn't score as many goals... And we conceded more... So I'm not so certain Bombing fullbacks is the solution to our problems...
@@Tamarlane389 no its vital if we want to win trophies this season. Dunno why certain fans act like if we dont have a good window it means we want Arteta gone

We need Wirtz, Isak and Kudus and then part ways with Jesus, Trossard and Sterling by summer. The quality of Wirtz speaks for itself. He would be a leftsided Saka both in terms of profile and quality, and could be played at the 10 instead of Ødegaard aswell. Or in a 10 with Ødegaard as 8 and then Rice at the 6. Many opportunities with that one expensive signing alone. Kudus as real competition for Saka and Isak as the leathel 9. It would be over £300 million in fees alone but if the owners and directors of Arsenal want to live up to their word of this club winning major honors then do it right. Because those small lottery ticket signings at £40 million wont move us towards the big trophies only signings of the best quality, and we are a club either at the threshold of getting it all or losing it all.
@@Bren249 Yep just many Arsenal fans are of such low expectations and would be satisfied with less. It's like they don't understand where we are right now because we have been used to so many dissapointments threw the latter years of Wenger, that they cannot keep up with the rapid changes the last three years. But it is dangerous to not keep up or else players like Saliba and Saka will move on, and it will be 2011 all over again. The voices of fans and the expectation from them, is a large and not minor thing, to both the club and general public. The question of "who" re strikers/forwards is a lazy one in my opinion. The same way Gyokeres and Isak, even Nico Williams, Guler, Yamal etc. Were discovered, others can be discovered. That's why clubs have scouts. To discover talent. Isak, Kane, Osimhen and Gyokeres are clearly not the only good strikers in the game. Gyokeres was literally playing for Coventry only a few seasons ago. You only have to look at clubs like Brighton to prove this point. There's players out there, you just have to do the work to find and scout them.

I think Arsenal’s game against Ipswich went well overall, despite it ending with only one goal scored by Arsenal. Some supporters need to understand that playing against any team in the EPL-whether they’re newly promoted or have been in the league for years-is never an easy task. At times, expectations from fans can be unrealistic, especially when they believe Arsenal should easily dominate and score multiple goals against a team they consider weaker. It's important to remember that playing football and scoring goals isn’t as simple as some might make it sound. Arteta’s style of play is methodical and deliberate, which often makes it challenging for opponents but can also create tighter matches. Teams like Ipswich, Fulham, and Everton put in significant preparation against top-five sides, aiming to either draw or frustrate their opponents with strong defensive setups. The key takeaway here is to never underestimate any EPL opponent. Every club in this league has the potential to cause an upset, regardless of how strong your squad or strikers are. Arsenal supporters should brace themselves for more challenging matches ahead. Good luck to Arsenal in their next game!

@@tashd.a4190Turkish is sadly often wrong because he seeks negatives. No team won more points or scored more goals in the PL in 2024 but the way he talks scoring has been our biggest problem. If you out score Liverpool & City in a 12 month period that can’t possibly be true.
Arsenal have lost 3 games in 2024. They are top of the 2024 table in points, goals scored and least amount conceded. Perspective. Be careful what you wish for. Yes not a trophy, but thats a sign of a serious team. Utd fan.
@@kevind6956 Bro, you were taking the ball to the corner flag against Ipswich last 5 minutes. 🥴 I'm more worried about City and they may come back second half of the season. Forest more of a threat as well.
Honestly, I’m a bit over the criticism from Turkish -we managed the game well, and there’s nothing wrong with a 1-0 win. That’s our seventh clean sheet this season, which is seriously impressive. Great to see Havertz on the scoresheet again; the guy was everywhere today. Odegaard was poor again, apart from 10 minute period, but Timber and MLS really showed some great moments hard to drop moving forward. That said, I think we need to invest in another winger or two-I’m not entirely sold on a striker in Arteta’s system. I’d go all out for a Premier League-proven player like Cunha, Mbeumo, Semenyo, or even Gordon.
Agreed bro. I do not like the negativity and disrespect of other teams. Yes it was Ipswich Town but they are in the Prem for a reason. No team is going to let us smash them 5-0 every game lool. Plus, we need to earn the right to win games and the league without the arrogance.
Turkish makes a great point about the ‘cogs’ that make up our team, it’s not just players but systems and patterns of play, that are so rigid, once the opps work out how to stop the important cogs, they got us! I worry arteta is too rigid and safe with the instructions, that even a new signing would eventually play the same way, sideways and backwards.
It was reported this week we don't want Gyokeres and our first target is Cunha which i think is a huge mistake as hes having 1 good season vs Gyokeres, Osimhen and Isak 3 good seasons. Arsenal need to get isak its like Rice singing so obvious just pay the £100m's but we will want a cheap alternative like 99% of our transfers ffs
We talk about getting a striker on the January transfer window. This game is also showing that arsenal is desperately in need of a right winger to replace the injured Saka.
We are slow and very careful taking risks. Trossad tried to make runs but no one tried to pass the ball to him because we are slow except 18 year old kid tried few times. We need to be quick and run behind the defenders
We had a decent December and we’ve hung in there… now to up the gear in January and see how things look at the end on Jan and hope Liverpool stumble… at the end of January we’ll get a proper sense of whether we’ll take home silverware this season.
@julians_ssplinter my question to that is apparently we saved alot of money over the summer. so how much did we save . did we save enough to atleast one of those potential targets.
@@jasonbrown597 who knows, but with those two we get cover as well as challenge for LW, ST, RW, left 8 and right 8 as Cunha and Kudus both have shown creativity and ability to play in midfield. As much as we want a killer up front, the fact that we can't rely on Martinelli and Jesus as well as the injury on Saka means we need to assess those positions.
We need to learn that slow, laborious, lethargic passing will not break down a team that is playing a low block and have no intention of playing in any other way. Ipswich made it clear from the start that they were set up to sit in and defend. We should be zipping passes about and multiple players should be making runs providing options for attacking situations. We were far too slow and static up front. We are desperate for a player with trickery, speed and agility to assist with breaking these teams..
If Turkish has never seen an eventual champion see out a game by being professional and taking it to the corner he should play back some games of Jose's titles at chelsea, especially 2014 when they dragged it accross the line. Regardless of the opponent, when you're only up by 1 goal late into the game you see it out any way possible.
We need a world-class winger more than a striker right now. Every time martinelli gets the ball , i know he's gonna run straight to a defender or pass backward.
I love Martinelli and wanted him to do really well on the right but after seeing him cower to the corner I completely lost it😡 then reality hit me😭! We need to refresh the attack in January otherwise we ain't winning anything this season 🙏🏽
Side way passing when we need to plat the ball quicker in the forward we create our own problems breaking low block teams you need to be quicker and catching them on counters but the side passing and slow playing will find it hard to break liw block teams
Let's face it. Liverpool are way ahead of Arsenal, and have virtually wrapped up the Premier League title already. Gooners are 9 points adrift with an ever increasing inferior goal difference, so call it 10 points. Arsenal are missing that world class striker, and you have to question why Tarteta has not rectified this problem over the last 3-years. You simply can't be losing to Bournemouth, and drawing at home to Everton, if you want to win the Premier League. Tarteta might lead ARSenal to the League Cup, but that's as good as it will get. Time to face the facts.
Good to see our defence has settled back into their usual selves. We were conceding stupidly at the start of the season. Those issues are fixed. We got the attack flowing then saka got injured and now we have to find other solutions. Martinelli isnt it

Turkish is bang on about the mentality,if ipswich scored we were out the race.need to perform alot better to challenge liverpool this season alot better
Its all tactical, arterta can be very pragmatic, but if the game is intense you see the team respond. We don’t have to score a ton of goals to prove anything.
100% Agree with Turkish. Poor mentality against a promoted side having to close games out at the corner flag and taking a sigh of relief at the final whistle.
Bring victor osmen so far we don't have fabregas or Patrick viera in the midfield to put those through passes Everyone want to score other teams play for their number 9
Release clause means you pay the fee in full. That's unrealistic. Plus I don't think a striker will make a difference if there are no chances created for him.
Arsenal fans need to know by now. The more you demand for the obvious thing, the more Arteta wants to be everyone wrong by doing the opposite. You should all demand a keeper, and watch him get a striker. Mind games
Possibly one of the worst premier league seasons ever. Arsenal playing like stoke and there second, Chelsea drop point against mid table sides and are some how still 3rd. Man utd, west ham and spurs all in the bottom half. Man city losing almost every week and are some how 7th yet are in relegation form. Liverpool will walk this league tbh

@@tashd.a4190Turkish is sadly often wrong because he seeks negatives. No team won more points or scored more goals in the PL in 2024 but the way he talks scoring has been our biggest problem. If you out score Liverpool & City in a 12 month period that can’t possibly be true.
@@kevind6956oh, scored most goals and won most points. Great, what trophies did it get us? Oh right, NONE.
We ain't buying no one
Spot on
This is actually it, everyone getting excited, but just tumbleweed at the Emirates. 😂
Who we buying then?
@@coombem1978 NO ONE till the SUMMER
Arsenal have lost 3 games in 2024. They are top of the 2024 table in points, goals scored and least amount conceded. Perspective. Be careful what you wish for. Yes not a trophy, but thats a sign of a serious team. Utd fan.
6 points behind Liverpool and they have a game in hand; be serious. This overlap from calendar year is mad
Top of a made up table is not perspective, mate.
Top of the 2024 table, when is the open top bus parade? New years day? Have some standards please
Turkish analyses football like a child tho unfortunately. We've been unlucky to not win 2 leagus forget 1. Believe in Arteta
Facts...but the toys are coming out of the pram.
Turkish sounds like Lenny from the simpsons at times 🤣
Real talk Turkish
Viktor is a ball in behind kind of striker, Isak is the guy, he is both quick feet or ball in behind guy
the Guy with the funny looking things on his head at the back of Turkish we actually call him a "Sangoma" in South Africa
We call him n'anga in zim 😅
@mubaiwamahachi9339 😂😂😂
Funny looking things? They’re beads for god sake
Factos,he's spitting facts, it was a huge disappointment not signing an elite forward last summer
As a Liverpool fan. Seen enough last night from Arsenal not to worry they will be putting a challenge together.
Hate to admit it but you are right.
Really? I watched you lose at home to Forest, just before we pumped them 3-0. Long way to go I recommend you don’t get too cocky mate.
@@kevind6956 Bro, you were taking the ball to the corner flag against Ipswich last 5 minutes. 🥴 I'm more worried about City and they may come back second half of the season. Forest more of a threat as well.
The way Turkish chats, you would think he was a European football expert. Bet he hasn't even seen Muani play more than twice.
Arteta said we don't need to sign anyone as we need to look within the club rather than outside. So trust the process guys 😂😂😂
Odegaard was absolutely horrible today. The guy looks like he's got cancer he's so skinny and fragile recently. I'm wondering if he's gone vegan
Agreed bro. I do not like the negativity and disrespect of other teams. Yes it was Ipswich Town but they are in the Prem for a reason. No team is going to let us smash them 5-0 every game lool. Plus, we need to earn the right to win games and the league without the arrogance.
@@omard5626we should be winning at least 3-0 against a promoted team at the emirates
Osimeh won’t be available bro,Africa cup of nation is in January 2025!!
@@user-vm3bp5cm1g that’s next year
Bro we looked very slow in our attack in this game. We seemed to be scared to make a mistake so we would make way too many safe passes
Looked brighter in second half.
I didn't understand Kai position at some point he was in the midfield with Rice and got confused going for the ball...
The don and turk will always be great interview
4:17 real talk, that’s why I don’t want to hear any excuses on not signing an attacker in Jan.
Get us kudus and cunha please
that would be the best January transfer
Got 150 mil?
That would be the perfect fm transfers agreed, but realistically i don't think we have the budget
Too much coaching!!! Too many touches in the opposition box, too many back passes
Osimhen is a proper striker
We need to backup our wings...and the most important thing is the striker... last night game we struggled a lot....
Lad behind them is a weird one isn’t he.
Just out for the day and slipped his minder
Turkish is spot on 👏
Turkish is only fan I can relate to . And only reason I’m still watching aftv
Says a lot about you
I love Martinelli and wanted him to do really well on the right but after seeing him cower to the corner I completely lost it😡 then reality hit me😭! We need to refresh the attack in January otherwise we ain't winning anything this season 🙏🏽
This guy changes his view every few weeks.
Side way passing when we need to plat the ball quicker in the forward we create our own problems breaking low block teams you need to be quicker and catching them on counters but the side passing and slow playing will find it hard to break liw block teams
Will take 1 NIL . ALL DAY LONG. JUST WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Arsenal are bottle 🍼 jobs
Not happening.
We need to move the ball forward quicker we are to slow on the build up when attacking.
side to side, then back, then side to side again.
Good to see our defence has settled back into their usual selves. We were conceding stupidly at the start of the season. Those issues are fixed. We got the attack flowing then saka got injured and now we have to find other solutions. Martinelli isnt it
let MLS cook! love seeing him cook three defenders on the turn in the middle of the field and refusing to fall down when fouled - stays on his feet. he's real.
"you don't buy 6 center backs in FIFA!" - Turkish W
Turkish is bang on about the mentality,if ipswich scored we were out the race.need to perform alot better to challenge liverpool this season alot better
Its all tactical, arterta can be very pragmatic, but if the game is intense you see the team respond. We don’t have to score a ton of goals to prove anything.
100% Agree with Turkish. Poor mentality against a promoted side having to close games out at the corner flag and taking a sigh of relief at the final whistle.
😮Every season is the same with us,it so frustrating we always end up looking like a nearly premiership team
That can win the premier league
Turkish is a real one
Totally agree with Turkish!. Cmon on Arsenal. Let's get serious.
Man like Turkish 🤙🤙🤙
These strikes we should get are at decent clubs tied to contracts. Not in the supermarkets on shelves…..
We lack creativity is not just about strikers but we are not creative enough
Turkish On Point 💯
Bring victor osmen so far we don't have fabregas or Patrick viera in the midfield to put those through passes Everyone want to score other teams play for their number 9
Release clause means you pay the fee in full. That's unrealistic. Plus I don't think a striker will make a difference if there are no chances created for him.
Victor = Victory
It happens. 1996/97, 2010/11, 2015/16, 2020/21.....Record books won't care, though.
Yes, Stoke were a control possession team, yes thats how Stoke playef
The way Liverpool are playing, they’re top no matter what
Liverpool drew with Fulham and New Castle. Liverpool have to go to west ham and forest in the next few weeks. The game away to Everton which was postponed is also not an easy one
@donovanjohnson4279 Everton, WestHam & forest is what you're pinning your hopes on?? Smh
Turkish is my favorite analyst. Always honest and appropriately critical. He knows football.
He is a boring dinosaur 😂
Turkish spot on 🤝🤝
They need Isak. He’s proven. They also need a Kudus or a Wirtz. Not enough creativity- chance creation is either Saka or bust
This problem might be even bigger than a striker, we can't get the ball in the opposition box, how will a striker score with no movement in the box...
Gyokores is a must
He won’t wanna come there
Kolo Muani
We should learn how to operate through the middle this time around
I'd rather get Cunha. He's on fire this season, has great pace and can play left or up front. Probably cheaper as well.
Gyokeras + Cunha in January! At least 1 of them
0:35 Man said champions😂🤣
forgot the 3rd Vicktor, Boniface!
