Im actually happy it is going back to its roots. The first Assassins Creed game was always my favorite one. I always loved the setting. I just hope the story is as dark as Assassins Creed 1.
@@kadirr8974 I know that Basim was badass but unfortunatelly Valhalla was so boring that I didn't managed to finnish, but I take your words as a proof that his story would be sinister ;)
Man! The first AC needs more love, I know people love the Ezio saga and Black Flag, and Origins has a strong following but the first one was amazing and so groundbreaking, even though the missions were repetitive, I still remember how in awe I was from the experience, the gameplay was amazing and the environment was breathtaking, it really felt like you were in the Holy Land in the middle of the crusades, and Altair is just a badass, one of my all time favorite games!
Yeah! Definitely gave the vibes of Ezio. Also when Basim killed the Templar in the end of the trailer, he wiped his blood with an eagle feather as a proof that the target has been assassinated. This is a direct resemblance to AC1 right there.
Let's be honest, this cinematic CGI trailer looks great, as they always do. But for the first time in a long time (since Unity I would say) it has the vibes of an actual Assassins game. We will see!
I don't trust anything before they show gameplay footage. Ubisoft has always been great at deception. And always mess up their games and don't meet people's expectations. Ubisoft as a whole has great ideas, they just do not know how to fully execute them. Which leads games super buggy, uninspired, empty. The worlds they create are great. Most of the ideas what they create are pretty nice. But the execution is just always super poor. Very rarely have I seen any quality from them lately. Far Cry, AC, Watch Dogs, The Prince Of Persia Remake, you name it. So I would advise people to go in with skepticism, since their cinematic footages are always great, but the game.. not so much.
@@madeye1839 There is not a Ubisoft game in the last decade, that isn't riddled with bugs. Not that it's the main issue. Bugs can be handled. It just shows the quality, and how much they give a damn. Main issue is always the mediocre gameplay, world. Every gameplay aspect they have, some other game did it way better. There is no uniqueness. It's just so uninspired. The characters don't even give a damn. Almost no one cares about the characters in an Ubisoft game. Compare any Ubisoft game with a Naughty Dog characters. They have depth, personality and they are different from one another. Makes you care about them more, and makes them seem more human. In an Ubisoft game, I don't know if i gave a damn about any characters since the past like 7 years. Ezio was cool though, but that's over a decade ago.
@@KapeeshPC Assasins Creed games just don’t work as fully RPG’s. On a narrative level, meta level or gameplay level. While I love the idea of using birds to get a better view of the world that’s about all I liked. These are supposed to be retelling the story of those who came before so it doesn’t make sense for the game to be so open ended because it’s not as focused of a narrative. The way the games work the parkour that made the series is just so finicky and awkward. They’re just not Assasins Creed games
Baghdad in the 9th century was the largest city in the world with the highest population in the world as well at the time. It's literally a perfect setting for AC specially for parkour BUT I hope Ubisoft don't use the same parkour animations and assets from Valhalla in this game. Edit: Sorry guys I accidentally wrote 11th century instead of 9th century which was the begining of the "Islamic Golden Ages" most notably in Baghdad. Silly mistake on my part.
I waited so impatiently and a year later here I am walking the streets of Baghdad, enjoying this amazing game. Thank you Ubisoft for honoring your original fans
I was very cautions before buying Mirage, but in the end bought it and I love it despite some issues. Especially with open combat. Not that it is hard, but it is just ugly. I hope Ubisoft will move forward with the way of Mirage, because it IS assassins creed game after many years. Side missions (contracts) are also fun. The scale of the game is perfect. The team behind this game deservers big praise!
One of the things I love about this trailer is how they show the character to be so vulnarable and not all powerful. He fails the jump at the beginning, he gets rescued, he loses a fight against his mentor and then after showing how competent he truly is after training, he is shown to be terrified of something unknown. Makes me invested in the character
Reminds me of AC 2 and how Ezio transitions from hot headed boy to master assassin in Revelations. Maybe Ubisoft finally decided to go back to their roots. 🙏🏼
I mean technically Eivor was right in the middle of those two games, Ezio in 1474-1514 and Altair was during the 3rd crusade so that would’ve put it in the 12th century and Eivors adventure starts 1239 I believe making it only 100 roughly after Altair and 200 roughly before Ezio and a good 1500 years after Kassandra but that’s a whole other thing😂anyway my point is this has to be before Eivors adventure starts in England knowing who Basim is
@@nelsonhennis619 Alrair was during the crusades that is correct during lionhearted and Saladin which was 1100ich but Valhalla is at 873 which is 240ich hijri calendar that is Abbasid Caliphate time, 300 years before Altair, to be more precise if we assume Basem was in his 40‘s when he met Eivor, so this could be 20 years before which would put it during Almotaqakel‘s time who was killed in a coup in his palace, specially as it was the time of turmoils and the beginning of weakness of the Caliphate
I love how Enkidu (the eagle) follows the target to help Basim stay on course. Gives real reason as to why a Hidden One would use an Eagle. Great detail.
The fact that Basim's jump was a replica image of Ezio chasing his target and jumping in the trailer of assassin's creed 2 is pure nostalgic and is a great throwback. For a second it felt like I was watching Assassin's creed 2 trailer as a kid again
I love that there was a call backs to the first and second games here. The market chase and using the beam as a boost for climbing the walls, and landing similar to that of Ezio in Ac 2
@@Not.Reese777 They literally played a modified version of Ezio's family theme at the end. And in the ending moment s before the final kill, he moved just Ezio did in AC 2 trailer. It's a callback they purposely placed there. Tho I admit I wouldnt want the new MC to be just a copy of Ezio
@@Not.Reese777 he is not overrated, you new generation players have absolutely no respect for the roots of this franchise. Ezio made this game what it is known for today, and not even a single good game will change the fact that the Ezio Trilogy gave this franchise a foundation that the current games stand on.
@@ForsakenAngel11 been playing since ac3 and played the whole ezio trilogy, but since when was having my own opinion about a character shitting on the roots of a franchise? And obviously he didn’t “give the franchise the foundation for the newer games” if they abandoned playing as an assassin entirely.
First I wondered why theme connected specifically with Ezio is used as the motive for every character in the game... And then I understood... They are all Ezio's family... ...Despite the fact that Ubisoft decided to leave that line of heritage after Black Flag so now it really doesn't make any sense...
It’s a beautiful, timeless song but I feel like it suffers from the Pyramid Head syndrome in that the original meaning/representation has been lost and is reduced to a shallow “hey remember when we were awesome?!” motif.
@@MilornDiester well some people have mentioned that the title “Ezio’s Family” doesn’t just refer to his biological relatives (Desmond/Kenways), but the entire Brotherhood as a whole. I think it’s a cool way to look at it since their traditions and their creed has been passed from generation to generation from before Ezio’s time to long after
It's impossible to overstate how glad I am that they'll be letting us play this game in Arabic with English subtitles. Absolutely the definitive way to play the game imho.

I wonder if the new stealth assassinations involved assassinating multiple enemies like what we saw at the middle part of the video. That would be cool ngl, to assassinate not just two, but three or even four enemies at once Also, I love the fact that we can really play through basim's life story starting from when he was just young up to the point he became a master assassin. A little detail I missed for years when playing as ezio

I love the shots that parallel Basim's life as a thief/novice and a fully fledged assassin. Sucks at parkour in the beginning and then proceeds to efficiently scale a similar wall. Stole a pouch in the beginning, proceeds to pick off a mask of the order of ancients. My favorite part is how he uses the same head lock and assassination on his target that Roshan uses on him earlier in the trailer. Phenomenal looking stuff that has left me beyond excited for a gameplay trailer.
The whole thing gives me Prince of Persia vibes which is what bore AC in the first place and I love it. It's probably one reason why I have such an affinity for the series cause I was a big fan of PoP since it started.
I'm 20 hours into this game right now. And man this game made me feel the same excitement and joy of moving through and existing in a city that Altair and Ezio games did so long ago. Cannot thank the developers, writers and other creatives enough for this.
The way Ezio's Family sounds in this cinematic kind of gives me a warm feeling. It's emotional. It's nostalgic. It's a real Assassin's Creed game again

Just pure Assassin's Creed mechanics. You don't spend time with those bunch of weird customizations, skins, weapons, you are focused to the story.
I love this. Focusing on assassinating one target, blending in and using the crowd to do it, and the classic AC music at the end. This is the first AC game I’ve been hyped for in a long time.

The Hidden Ones are the Assassin's. They just rebranded with a name change when the word that lead to the term assassin actually came about. Hency why the logo is still the same, unlike the Order of Ancients compared to the Templars. So Bayek's Hidden Ones have really still been going since they were founded, though they've certainly had various close calls.
@@ruifigueiredo5486 that’s not true. The term assassin specifically comes from a set group of militant religious warriors operating roughly out of this area and time period. The word “assassin” comes from the Hashashin extremists present around the time of the first AC game. Hence why the first game is set during that period and in that region
@@hahahahtrevor Lol in actuality the Nizari Ismaili Da'wa hierarchy and their Fida'i (aka "Hashashin") pawns were anything but "religious" and in fact practiced an anti-theocratic Iamblichean Neoplatonic/Pantheist initiation system with no real loyalty to the "Sevener" Ismaili Madh'hab of Shiism. They were your typical anti-theocratic revolutionaries who covertly promoted religious conflict and the depowerment of the Seljuk Sultanate.
I’ve wanted this for a long time. Assassins Creed 1 has nostalgia in my mind like few other games. The dialogue with every assassination returning, the beauty of the Middle East, the original assassin outfits, and the what looks like return to assassin gameplay and not warrior gameplay excites me on a whole new level. This is a long overdue return to AC’s origin, but I am welcoming it with open arms.

Normally Ezio’s theme has nostalgic/somber vibes but this one at 3:03 has heroic/valiant vibes…like a Phoenix rising from the ashes…kind of symbolic with Ubisofts “return” to their roots
I’m almost in tears. I like how everyone is talking about how this feels like og assassins creed. Also that moment where it alluded to ezio in his ac 2 trailer. I like how Ubisoft almost acknowledges that ezio is so popular. This is gold and I can’t wait.
That music at the end when he took down the target, hugely reminiscent of Ezio. I had forgotten about AC for a long time but this game feels like they're coming back to their roots. It felt like the Altair game and the whole Ezio trilogy rolled into one. Very exciting.
yes i think thats what they were doing. when he jumps down thats exactly the same shot as the ac2 cinematic trailor in venice except he doesnt use the hidden gun
This is insane, I remember a few months ago I was thinking the only thing that could bring me back to this franchise after Origins is an AC game that goes back to the ancient middle east, with an old-school AC vibe and of course, where you play as a real, stealthy assassin again. And they did it! Getting Prince of Persia vibes from this too. ASSASSIN'S CREED IS BACK
"They did it" based on a single cinematic, knowing Ubisoft's history of downgrades, misleading statements and microtransactions-filled games? Look up man, it says "gullible" on the ceiling.
After playing this wonderful game and having been a fan from the first hour that had suffered of disappointment in the last years I came here after the credits to tell you the following: THANK YOU! PLEASE KEEP HEADING INTO THAT DIRECTION! It was the AC1 remake we all wished for and never got. It was a story of an Assassin and its brotherhood, which we missed in so many games. It was the story full of easter eggs and hints to the former games that shaped the franchise into what it became today. It was a gameplay and a world appealing to the story it wants to tell. It was meaningful and warmed every fans heart, reminding us all of that what we fell in love with so many years ago. And as an fellow historian, that this series has inspired me to become: Thank you for this wonderful designed codex being filled with so many texts and sources. Every single letter was read and appreciated!
I think the best part is that the whole assassin hood and all that actually feels like it fits in and is practical in this setting. It worked in Unity as well, but nearly every other AC it’s bothered me how much someone with such a distinct hood doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb, and is even considered extremely stealthy. This is the first time I’ve been excited for an AC game for a good 6 or 7 years now
It also fits well in AC origins. The white colour makes sense because you wear lighter colours in deserts and the torn up hood makes him look like a straggler passing through the sands of Egypt.
@@zippyparakeet1074 yea bayek's default outfit is my favorite in origins. It shows just how much he travels from one place to another. And hence his rugged and rough appearance. Basim's outfit in mirage also looks perfect!
I would strongly recommend Valhalla - I’ve played nearly every AC game and I think it’s fair to say Valhalla is my favorite. Great concept, rich story, breathtaking open world.
I dont think you can underestimate how revolutionary AC1 was when it came out. It was unreal to be able to literally climb or run across anything on the map.
Very excited about this aswell loved the first games then i was going to try the newer games but watched some gameplay decided not even to try them this one does look promising tho
I just noticed that the sequence of him fighting the guards after he becomes an assassins, he has his Master Assassin Robes on but while he was training with Roshan he had his initiate outfit on. Just a nice little detail I noticed :D
This looks chillingly like the older, golden days of assassins creed, back to the roots and origins of what made assassins assassins. I hope it lives up to the potential.
It’s hard to to believe that Ubisoft will go back to the original formula that made me fall in love with the series especially with the success of the last three especially Valhalla but I hope gameplay doesn’t disappoint. I miss the original vibe of the AC games but this looks promising
I am also having a hard time believing it. Especially looking at the pre order… I know that’s kinda a ridiculous assumption but I just don’t wanna get all hyped for nothing till I see gameplay..

It was such a great experience with myself growing up when I was just 15. Now I'm 27. Time really flew by and I still have my love for the AC series. I'm excited for this!
I already replayed 2 of them back in 2018-2019 so my expectation is pretty low in order to satisfy myself with Ubi's new gameplay but my hope is for the atmosphere and soundtrack, especially the soundtrack was no.1 in my eyes back then.
I know this. I felt the same emotions that i experienced when i saw ac 2 trailer where ezio lands on the ground and assassinates his target with the hidden gun. Purely epic

The Ezio's Family song near the end! The head tilt after dodging the bomb really feeling like Ezio. Ac1 and Ac2 nuances all over this trailer! Let's hope the gameplay itself is as good!
We are due for another trilogy. Bayek was a great candidate, but Basim would be amazing too. I like how they made him unskilled in the trailer. This is going to be amazing
I'm probably reaching but it kinda feels like they're teasing a connection between Basim and Ezio, both with the Ezio family song and the way Basim acts. Would be pretty wild if Basim turned out to be either an ancestor of Altair or Ezio.

I've been missing this vibe a lot, even after all these years Altaïr remains to be my favourite Assassin and I'm very happy to see the original AC have kind of a comeback
I played the first when I was 13, and I'm 26 now, I genuinely never thought it would have continued on this far! I LOVED the first one, not because it was the first but because of how dark it was. The fact that the trailer shows the rite to becoming an assassin by cutting the ringfinger is a step in the very right direction! I'm honestly excited for this, I hope it's a fresh start on the series.

Ubisoft trailers are good but they always disappoint us after releasing. We need realistic real life game like old assassins creed. Rockstar exactly knows what their fans need that's why they keep everything so realistic. RDR2 doesn't have any magical instrument. The focus on the story and quality not quantity. I just watched the new gameplay and I'm absolutely thrilled! The graphics look stunning, with detailed environments and smooth animations that make the gaming experience even more immersive. What impressed me the most is the innovative gameplay mechanics, offering a refreshing change from previous games in this genre. The developers have clearly put a lot of work into character design and story development. The dialogues are well-written and add to the immersion. The combat system also looks dynamic and challenging without being overwhelming. Another plus is the musical score, which perfectly matches the mood of the game and heightens the tension at the right moments. Basim not "Basin"
Let's see how much of that copy pasta gameplay Ubisoft is notorious for!
@@KapeeshPC what bro?except for unity no other game had bugs origins odyssey Valhalla all over super hit
ASSASSIN'S CREED IS BACK
The deluxe version has a Prince Of Persia outfit.
"They did it" based on a single cinematic, knowing Ubisoft's history of downgrades, misleading statements and microtransactions-filled games? Look up man, it says "gullible" on the ceiling.
"ASSASSIN'S CREED IS BACK" you say from a cinematic lmao. Ubisoft has never lied before.. Oh wait.

until you lose your mind bc that’s what happened to basim in valhalla
After playing this wonderful game and having been a fan from the first hour that had suffered of disappointment in the last years I came here after the credits to tell you the following:
THANK YOU!
This is the first time I’ve been excited for an AC game for a good 6 or 7 years now
The blue turban inside the apprentice hood is also a nice touch.
I just hope the hood will be on the whole game just like the other games
I would strongly recommend Valhalla - I’ve played nearly every AC game and I think it’s fair to say Valhalla is my favorite.
Great concept, rich story, breathtaking open world.
The nostalgia of AC 1. Brings me back to my basement when I was just a kid playing as Altair for the very first time. Can’t wait.
I dont think you can underestimate how revolutionary AC1 was when it came out. It was unreal to be able to literally climb or run across anything on the map.
finally an Assassin's Creed that looks like what Assassin's Creed is supposed to be! this makes me happy
