God the Witch is may absolute favorite character. She's so LAYERED. It's clear she was abused by her own mother and she really wanted to break that cycle when she got Rapunzel, but she tried to love her TOO MUCH and ended up driving her away. Like GOSH I love her.
Love this assessment of her! One of my favorite characters in the show for sure.
YES literally one of the saddest characters in theatre. she wanted so badly to be a good mother. BREAKS MY HEART 😩😩
I don't care what anyone says this is the emotional climax of the movie and the witch deserved better.
What movie? No such thing exists. There is only the stage version and that is it.

The witch treated Rapunzel like a bird in a cage, she's an awful narcissistic mother. She kept telling Rapunzel the world is a dangerous place yet she goes outside everytime, Rapunzel committed suicide in the musical because of her bad parenting. If your parents never let you go outside, go to school and talk to other people, you have terrible parents, good parents want their children to grow up properly not lock them in the house like dolls. *RAPUNZEL DESERVED A BETTER LIFE* , she never got the chance to experience life properly because her "mother" wanted to keep her beauty safe from harm. Rapunzel's beauty was wasted then.
