Season 4 Episode 8 "You Don't Want To know"
House encounters a magician (Steve Valentine) whose heart fails when performing an underwater escape act. While the remaining fellowship candidates work to diagnose him, House is determined to prove he is a scam artist faking his ailments to cover up the fact he nearly drowned during his act. In the meantime, House pits his team against one another in a challenge involving Cuddy, granting the winner immunity from elimination and a chance to nominate two other candidates to be put on the chopping block.

@@bttrade6286 I don't think he had eaten the cards that he 'puked', even if he had actually thrown up I believe the key had moved from his stomach into his intestine by that point.
The card puke trick is sleight of hand. You cover the deck with your palm, bring it close to your mouth, make a puking noise while spreading the cards. 1,2,3 done
I kind of wonder if he actually learned to do all those tricks perfeclty for the show, or if he was a magician already🤔

IT'S NEVER LUPUS
Magician: I made a miracle happen.
SO THE PROPHECY IS TRUE 0-0
The occurence of lupus in a magician case is kind of ingenious
IF you think about this logically then Wilson deserves half the credit for all the lives House saves. The fact he ignores most of what Wilson is saying gives him perfect clarity for determining the patient's problem.
It's classic, Wilson = Watson and House = Holmes.
House also helps Wilson with some of his sick people. Both are the two best doctors in the clinic until House hired Foreman, Chase and 13.
Sometimes for a changeup I'd rather they switch it up
Cant tell you how happy I was that house quit to ride the country with Wilson until he dies. True homies til the end.

Nah, it’s a recurring joke during the whole run of the show. The case in the video is actually the only confirmed lupus case in the whole show

Exactly. It's never lupus, until the magician conjurs it up :p

If lupus is gone when the truth is known it wasn’t really lupus. In this case it’s the exact opposite

I feel a sense of dread every time i get up for work in the morning
What’s really funny is that the writers got blood type really wrong this episode: you make antibodies for the blood type you DON’T have. This is why AB is a universal recipient, because they don’t produce antibodies for either the A or B antigens found their blood and in type A blood (A antigen) and in type B blood (B antigen). Type O doesn’t have either antigen, which is why it is a universal donor. If the patient tested positive for both A and B antibodies, they should have assumed he was type O, and only have given him type O blood (which you could give to anyone).
@@beckwrecked Do not neglect to mention that they also ONLY receive from others of the same type. Unless it's O+ then it receives from O- as well, while O- only receives from O-, but I don't think that distinction matters too much in the particular conversation.

The situation where you do a magic trick and keep a conversation at the same time is just a SKILL😂
Pretty hard.
Actually, engaging in a conversation while doing the trick is somewhat helpful as a distraction.
Me just holding a conversation is magic enough.
Distracting your audience is pretty much the basics of magic tricks. No trick will work if you let people pay close attention to what you're doing, you have to divert it somewhere else. Otherwise they will quickly spot the things that give it away.

If you look carefully, every time House does something funny/sarcastic, 13 (Olivia Wilde) looks amused. She seems to love House's sense of humor, and plays along. The two have great on-screen chemistry. An example in this episode is at 9:56.
Chase was also amused by him constantly
If you pay attention throughout the seasons, you can notice that 13, Kutner, and Chase were the ones that seem to enjoy House’s sense of humor from time to time and they even played along with him. I think that those three were like House’s favorite children, with Kutner it would have been more obvious with time but unfortunately that didn’t happen.
It's actually a pretty wild coincidence that a magician ends up pulling out the disease that House never comes across.

Livi Divi he’s also Derek Jupiter from I’m in the band. He also did magic tricks in multiple episodes
You mean the guy from Crossing Jordan ?
First trick: he palms off the card before handing it to Thirteen to shuffle. The fire wallet is a very basic prop trick; for an impromptu display you only need some lighter fluid and a sparker, which he could have stole anytime the camera wasn’t on his hands. It’s also misdirection for loading the card into the wallet.
Second trick is impossible to do without setup. You need a very quick stooge, a force, and a deck switch. He forces a card (many ways to do this, he probably had a deck of all the same cards), switches to a normal deck, throws it (the Jack probably had some form of adhesive), and the stooge would quickly stick the correct card on the other side. Again, can’t do it impromptu, and it’s improbable that a stooge can move that quickly.
Its a TV show, there is no secret behind these tricks since he didnt actually do them.
@@beganfish you must be fun at parties.
