As a Chinese living in France I've never saw any shark meat or whales whatsoever in any French or Chinese restaurant. But travel in China mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan and you will be able to eat sharks as you wish. Obviously the guys were lying or they didn't even know who they sell their stuffs. Just by looking at them, there are not the seller. Just poor guys working in the factory.
