JIMIN who BigHit has officially listed as one of the two Main dancers and Lead singer since the very beginning, has been studying and performing dance since early teens! First studying, performing and competing (and winning every competition) in hip hop, popping and street dance at the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan then going on yo study ballet , contemporary and even traditional Korean dance. JIMIN after performing in Busan at an event back then was even called "The Rising Star of Busan". When he attended the high school of the arts in Busan he was as soon as he started attending known as the best dancer always with honors at the top. He even had an offer to dance overseas which he turned down since he always wanted to be a singer as well. So one of his teachers suggested he audition in Seoul. He ended up signing with BigHit and joining BTS but since he was the very last to join he had less than a year if training before their debut which is pretty much unheard of in the industry where trainees are usually trained for at least 2 years before debuting. Mind you JIMIN had no previous experience in singing or learning any kind of vocal technique back then, plus changing back from contemporary back to hip hop which uses different inner core muscles is quite hard to do which were the reasons for Jimin having some insecurities the perfectionist that he is! Without proper vocal training no matter how good you sound vocally you can still strain or even damage your vocal chords! Plus especially in the beginning JIMIN has always been the one mainly in charge of all those high notes, adlibs as well as all those amazing high notes in the background that usually go unnoticed. He also has quite strong inner core strength which is why he is able to perform all those gravity defying moves during performances. JIMIN more than likely developed his strength and discipline from quite an early age as a young boy for 8 years learning different forms of martial arts. He has a blackbelt in Taekwondo which explains his ability to do all those Taekwondo flips he's performed on stage. He also studied Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo) since he saw the Anime One Piece as a little boy and fell in love with Zoro. He wanted to be the best swordsman in the world and luckily his father allowed him to train. Even when he was that young he just had to be the best at whatever he does! Jimin was even offered a scholarship to study martial arts more extensively in China because he was that good! He also was always at the head of his class always getting perfect grades scoring 100% which is why he was always class president for all the 9 years. His favorite subjects bring math and science. JIMIN is just that driven to be the absolute best at everything he does but always plays down all his capabilities and accomplishments to the point of even continually deflecting any praise given to him and turning the spotlight on all the other members who he loves, supports and cares for dearly. But because he never talks about himself even many army are unaware of how good in actuality JIMIN really is at so many things! That's why like most introductions this one left out so very much, made mistakes as well as being misleading at times! Which is why I felt the need to write this to correct possibly many misconceptions. But I totally got carried away and ended up apparently writing a novel instead! Please forgive me for going on & on non stop! Jimin wrote in his song "Promise" that he will start loving himself more & speaking up for himself more truthfully meaning not always saying everything is fine when it's not. This us what JIMIN was referring to when he wrote his song "LIE". Not being truthful to himself and others about his inner feelings and just continually saying everything is alright! Hopefully he will not just be there to listen and support everyone else denying himself anymore as the "Promise" he made but will finally support his own desires and needs as well and speak up about his own wants needs and desires test he tends to suppress all the time.

Jimin's dancing is another level. However, the center is small on stage. So fans want to see Jimin's dance separately so they shoot a lot of fan cam. Fancam has the most number of hits and the highest number of hits. Jimin's dancing line is beautiful and amazing, so after the performance, Jimin's fan cam is uploaded right away to watch Jimin's dance. Jimin was the number one fan cam look-up that was selected by Mnet in 2018. Some say that if you want to see Jimin, you should watch the fan cam. I recommend watching Jimin's fan cam.
The video of him dancing with the blindfold is from 2016 award show. He and J-Hope did a joint dance performance. He could not see. J-Hope had to escort him out to place before they started.... LOVE HIM He is so sweet and giving. and freaking talented. LOL He has a whole solo that he did in the concerts "LIE" and if you have not already reacted to it his song "Promise" came out Dec 31st on SoundCloud and is soooooooo great.
Jimin is a perfectionist... you probably don't understand the feeling of being perfectionist, but it's something really frustrating because it doesn't let you to do certain things. He works the hardest bc of that and you can see it in every performance, he is perfect on stage every movement is perfect from his hands, expression, everything... he is my biggest inspiration.
He did contemporary only for a year or so, he is a hip hop dancer originally, and did hip hop and popping longer than J Hope, if we're already comparing them. :D
By the way, the blindfold Jimin was wearing from the first clip, was NOT see-through, which is just mind blowing when I first found out, bc he would have had to only use his senses alone to perform..a true professional
That kind of mentality that Jimin has about his own singing and dancing is how Michael Jackson saw himself too. Even after Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, and Forever where he showcased his Moonwalk for the first time and got a standing ovation for his whole performance, he cried after it because he felt like it still wasn't good enough. I think artists - because they're creatives - often struggle with being satisfied with their art, regardless of what form or medium they are involved in. Art is emotive, so being satisfied is almost impossible. But, I hope Jimin at least finds peace and acceptance with his work even if satisfaction eludes him.
I love how you said there is so much footage of them. Because its true. These intro's are probs not even 1% of whats out there. A lot cant be put into these vids on YT cuz of copyrights either. But even then these intro's probs shows like 10% of their personalities. Also I noticed these intro's are made kinda melancholic and shows more of their serious, thoughtful, human sides. I'm saying this cuz Jimin isn't quiet at all😂 I guess based on these video's it may seem that way. But Jhope, Jimin and Taehyung are the most extrovert members! Ya'll dont even know how much😂 But watch as much as you can so you can form your own and full image of them instead of these intro videos where their portrayal is kinda biased and "decided" for you. Just to clarify, JHope meant 500 days since their debut. Jimin's letter was about how he had the shortest training period of all the members (only 1 year). And when they mentioned he was the best at dancing, they said "best at dancing that requires self expression". He is VERY good at putting emotion into his dance moves. But in general he and JHope gave different styles, so you can't really say either is better. It's mostly what your preference is.
That's why with BTS, i personally don't see them as celebrities. They're more like friends who are relatable and vulnerable. It's hard not to feel connected with them when you see their vids and logs.

Jimin and Jhope practised two very different forms of dance so I wouldn’t compare them. Jimin is more contemporary and Jhope is more hiphop. I think they are both amazing but very different in terms of dance

To this day he is in contact with that academy and gives gifts to them. So many would be rookie Kpop idols started attending or trying to attend the same academy in hopes of becoming as good as JIMIN. Even J- Hope has said how in awe he is of Jimin's popping capabilities! He then went on to study ballet, contemporary and even traditional Korean dance. When he went to the high school of arts in Busan he was acclaimed as the best dancer as soon as he started attending! Always top of class including even academic classes where he always scored perfect 100% which is why he was always class president fir the 9 years he attended mid & high school. He also has that inner core strength that allows him to achieve those gravity defying moves on stage as well as all those Taekwondo flips because he studied various kinds of martial arts since quite young as a young boy for 8 years. He not only has a blackbelt in Taekwondo but studied Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo). He was even offered a scholarship to go to China to study martial arts even more extensively. J-Hope & Jimin are the only ones with extensive previous years of dance. But unlike J-Hope who mainly studied and performed street dancing & hip hop Jimin also started learning and performing contemporary later as well as being able to have the benefit of that many years of martial arts as well. Jungkook had no previous dance training at all before joining BigHit but since he joined at such a young age at 13 he was able to get some training while being with BigHit. They even chose to send him overseas for a couple of month since he was told at one point he needed to show more emotion. Jungkook amazingly to his credit became that good in just those couple of years before debuting. He fell in love with dance so much although nothing can compare with the years of training experience that the two Officially titled Main dancers have in their background. To JK's credit he still achieved the title of Lead dancer which is quite amazing! Both J-Hope and Jimin helped coach all the other members especially in the beginning as well as help them learn all the moves. Both Jin and RM even mentioned how they loved Jimin's way of teaching and coaching mainly because J-Hope can get a bit intense. They just have different ways and styles but j-Hope being the fastest learner became the dance leader being in charge of making sure everyone is insinc whenever their in-house dance trainer/choreographer Mr. Son Deuk Song is not around or available. This is where J-Hope strictness and intensity for dance comes in handy. All other members have such a love & respect for him as well as J-Hope has such a love and concern for the other members as well. But then actually same could be said for all members with each other. Sorry, once again I got carried away. I just love, care and admire them all so much each and every member for so many reasons! I could really go on and on about each if them but I just wanted to get some facts straight that might have been left out. Many army especially newer or international aren't always aware of all the correct facts. Especially in Jimin's case where he himself doesn't help matters always trying to play down his past achievements or just not talk about them at all.

I’m a Karmy and Jimin is best in contemporary dance in Bts. Hobi and Jungkook is best in street dance. Three of them are dance line in Bts and their dance style and specialties are kind a different. In fan meeting, they said Jimin teaches them contemporary dance and Jhope and Jungkook teaches them street dance. Jungkook is also amazing dancer.J-hope is best dancer in Bts but three of them are incredible in their dance specialists. It’s impossible to rank Bts’s dance line.
Jimin and J-hope have different styles. It is personal preference to choose who is the best dancer. Jimin is the most versatile dancer in BTS for sure and also considered to be the best dancer by many people.

@SunTree - Jimin first learned, performed and competed in hip hop, popping and street dance since early teen! He won every competition he competed in as well. He went to the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where they let him attend for free when he couldn't afford the fees because he was that good. To this day he is in contact with that academy and gives gifts to them. So many would be rookie Kpop idols started attending or trying to attend the same academy in hopes of becoming as good as JIMIN. Even J- Hope has said how in awe he is of Jimin's popping capabilities! He then went on to study ballet, contemporary and even traditional Korean dance. When he went to the high school of arts in Busan he was acclaimed as the best dancer as soon as he started attending! Always top of class including even academic classes where he always scored perfect 100% which is why he was always class president fir the 9 years he attended mid & high school. He also has that inner core strength that allows him to achieve those gravity defying moves on stage as well as all those Taekwondo flips because he studied various kinds of martial arts since quite young as a young boy for 8 years. He not only has a blackbelt in Taekwondo but studied Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo). He was even offered a scholarship to go to China to study martial arts even more extensively.
J-Hope & Jimin are the only ones with extensive previous years of dance. But unlike J-Hope who mainly studied and performed street dancing & hip hop Jimin also started learning and performing contemporary later as well as being able to have the benefit of that many years of martial arts as well. Jungkook had no previous dance training at all before joining BigHit but since he joined at such a young age at 13 he was able to get some training while being with BigHit. They even chose to send him overseas for a couple of month since he was told at one point he needed to show more emotion. Jungkook amazingly to his credit became that good in just those couple of years before debuting. He fell in love with dance so much although nothing can compare with the years of training experience that the two Officially titled Main dancers have in their background. To JK's credit he still achieved the title of Lead dancer which is quite amazing!
Both J-Hope and Jimin helped coach all the other members especially in the beginning as well as help them learn all the moves. Both Jin and RM even mentioned how they loved Jimin's way of teaching and coaching mainly because J-Hope can get a bit intense. They just have different ways and styles but j-Hope being the fastest learner became the dance leader being in charge of making sure everyone is insinc whenever their in-house dance trainer/choreographer Mr. Son Deuk Song is not around or available. This is where J-Hope strictness and intensity for dance comes in handy. All other members have such a love & respect for him as well as J-Hope has such a love and concern for the other members as well. But then actually same could be said for all members with each other. Sorry, once again I got carried away. I just love, care and admire them all so much each and every member for so many reasons! I could really go on and on about each if them but I just wanted to get some facts straight that might have been left out. Many army especially newer or international aren't always aware of all the correct facts. Especially in Jimin's case where he himself doesn't help matters always trying to play down his past achievements or just not talk about them at all.

I’m a Karmy and Jimin is best in contemporary dance in Bts. Hobi and Jungkook is best in street dance. Three of them are dance line in Bts and their dance style and specialties are kind a different. In fan meeting, they said Jimin teaches them contemporary dance and Jhope and Jungkook teaches them street dance. Jungkook is also amazing dancer.J-hope is best dancer in Bts but three of them are incredible in their dance specialists. It’s impossible to rank Bts’s dance line.
Jimin and J-hope have different styles. It is personal preference to choose who is the best dancer.
Jimin is the most versatile dancer in BTS for sure and also considered to be the best dancer by many people.

Jimin is never second best, it's a conventional claim. It's just most ppl think J-Hope is the best out of the 3 because of his experience and the fact that he was branded as Main Dancer. And I also think that way. However you're open to your own opinions and if you see Jimin as equal or better than Hoseok then okay
Idk if I'm the only one but I'm not a huge fan of these individual introduction videos... i feel like they're not very informative are are quite slow
jimin cant dance like jhope and jhope cant dance like jimin their both equal in my opinion
