The set you bought was the jet 3000B RP for clear and 3000B HVLP with a green ring for base, the NR2000 HVLP is what you bought when you wanted to save money since it was the older generation and also came in both an RP and HVLP for base and clear Getting the 3000B RP and NR2000 HVLP is like getting an x5500 RP and 5000 HVLP today
Yea I'm not even sure what all that means man 😂 I just know every painter had the same set up back then don't remember the reason. Maybe the HVLP sprayed better so most guys got it. Sounds like you been around for a while too 🫡
Only just recently started trying Vevor equipment. (Not spray guns yet.). I was impressed with just the packaging, and the brand name being right there on the equipment.

I sprayed ppg envirobase for three years with a chinese copy of a sata 4000rp.Excellent spaying gun,but long term durability wasn't good.Needle packing started leaking.I had used the gun enough that a groove was worn into the fluid needle from contact with the seal. The seals were all good and durable, just the steel the needle was made of was just too soft to last.Considering that I only paid $80 for that gun I still consider it good bang for the buck.
Dam you were spraying good quality paint with the Chinese guns? This is my first time spraying with one that is actually good 😂 so far I've sprayed with it daily for 6 weeks and it's holding up. Thanks for watching 💪🏼
