Great video Joe! Im deliberating between this or an M5 Comp ( coming out of a B9 RS4) ... I live in an area where it doesnt get colder than 15 degrees celsius... By the looks of it, the RS6 is still materially slower than the M5?
Had high hope's for the car when it was announced and it has exceeded my expectations. Great car. Most comprehensive and well shot video I've seen on the rs6 and theres been a few.
The RS6, and cars like it, just show how much the soundtrack gives a car a bit of soul. Okay, your Teslas are really quick, but the tumbleweed soundtrack means the car lacks that element of the whole driving experience. I run an RSQ3 8U 340BHP with the 5 pot engine.....No small SUV should be that quick and sound that good. Good video Joe!

I did drive E63S AMG, M5 competition, Rs6 performance (c7 body), and a last one impressed my a lot its so natural feeling car just unreal, really... I hope new model C8 body will be future legacy of c7. This car must be amazing like a previous model. Dare me, I need it car!
Great video Joe. You have to see an RS6 in real life to appreciate how beautifully proportioned these things are. The width and wheel arches just give it a stunning stance. Cracking motor.
I had the C6 RS6 Avant Plus the last of the V10 ltd edition #202 of 500...I loved that car. The family loved going for a drive in it. Best compliment I got was from a guy on a motor bike he drove up to me at the traffic lights eyed up the car and gave a big thumbs up. 👍😃
Re doors not closing easy, perhaps the weather could be affecting the rubber seals... As far as the mag weels.. that personal taste.. As for the rest of the road test, very good!
Great video. Just imagine how good the new RS6 will sound with an aftermarket exhaust. I believe Miltek already have some upgrades and other companies like Akrapovič will be releasing exhausts soon.

I thought it would not be possible to build a heavier RS6 than the outgoing model but Audi has exceeded my expectations again. The car looks nice though, thats something positive.
Yeah it's all down to ever tightening safety regs, mostly pedestrian ones with the C8. Also their "mild hybrid system" must add a few kg, personally can't see the benefit aside from potentially cheating some bullshit regulations 👊
This new RS6 looks just HUGE and with 600hp I believe it is too powerful for the real world but hey, that's the Era we live in. I'd like you to try to get an E63 AMG estate for the sake of comparison and hear your opinion on it, if possible. Thank you for the video tho!

Great review, Joe. I'm in love with this car. I generally love wagons or estate cars myself. I'm really excited that Audi is finally bringing it to the US.
Think I preferred the previous iteration, I liked the understated looks of it. The current RS cars are shouting a little too loud IMO. But I know they are all trying to get the most attention, hence the M4 will have it’s large grilles. Superb video as always!!

Picking mine up March 1st. I hope! Vorsprung edition in Sebring Black. At least it takes care of that head up display issue. I’m surprised there’s no heated steering wheel though. Minor niggle 🤷🏻♂️
Love the comment about Range Rover...couldn’t agree more. I truly don’t understand the brand.....unbelievably overpriced. Weird that there was no HUD on the launch vehicle.....especially as Audi’s is so bloody good. I prefer the content flexibility on Bimmer’s HUD (track listing, upcoming ‘give way ‘ signs etc) but I find it slightly blurry and yellow looking compared to Audi’s, which is pin sharp and crisp white.
Nice video Joe, you “complain” about the interior and that there is nothing else that sets it apart from the other models besides the RS badges, but isn’t it like that with most new cars? Love the sound of the engine and car looks like a lot of fun in the snow, hope you enjoy the rest of the week 😊

Your delivery is improving all the time, Joe. great job on this vid. Just a suggestion but I feel it would help viewer engagement if when you are referring back to, for example, C5/C6 wheel designs you could cutaway to a still of the wheels in question.
On the topic of the doors, we have an A6 C8 and they don't shut easy either. I've lost count of the number of times that annoying beeping tells me to shut off the engine because the door isn't shut.
I would personally still choose this over the m5 C, mainly because of its 4 wheel drive system which is the best in its class, its practicality and getting the quicker m5 C solely on it been faster is just for bragging rights. Is there a factory titanium exhaust upgrade for the RS 6? New subscriber btw, enjoying the vids
Nice review Joe, How do you rate it to the C7 RS6, a significant step forward to justify trading C7 for C8 if on a budget? BTW whilst the 'RS mode' button is a useful addition, the C7 RS6/7 Performance models had a configurable button on the steering wheel which you could elect through MMI to control drive select through including individual mode so its an evolution rather than a reintroduction. Minor point to an otherwise thorough review.
So assuming you could afford its 100k+ price tag or financial package and you could compare this car to the m5 comp....which one do you buy? Maybe it simply comes down to the practical options and which is needed....estate or saloon 🤔🤔

Test drove the c7 rs6 with a full millteck, it sounded awesome but would get annoying after 5 mins tho cuz it never shuts up

I guess I'm skipping on the newest Audis that have gone fully digital on controls. Using buttons and switches can feel so satisfying.

Imo this is by far the most aggressive looking RS6 ever, and personally think that its a lot more aggressive from the front than the previous model

Whem I first saw it , I didn't like it much but now I love it! This version has the RS6 badges in silver, the black badges are terrible.
The issue with the doors not closing easily is standard across all A6's of this generation. It's not RS6 specific. Ideally they need soft close.
