While i agree this doesn't sound as good as K' previous theme, (not counting XIII) the tune is definitely from 99 but i swear, this is obviously missing something to make it more unique. Because the music in KOF XIV is assigned by stage, not by team, just like Tekken where the music isn't assigned by character. Like, you expect to fight K' on the Antonov Super Arena with this theme playing? No. The music at the Antonov Super Arena, even if you don't fight Antonov will ALWAYS be I'm The King of Fighters. The only exception to this is when you fight K' at the training stage.
Given the record, 99' is beast since it's K' debut game, 2000 is pretty kick-ass (and that one is my favorite) too but after that, and this for example. Being the first chapter of the new saga seem to prove that not every characters theme will be spot on. Needless to say, everything start kicking off in the second one. 96-2000-XI.

All of K's themes are composed by the same music group since KD-0079.

He's always had this kind of theme. The Rock from the Ash saga is decent at best, but I think his 99 and 2000 themes suit him better.

Yes, this theme was first used in Kof2000, the theme of rival team.
The SNK announced have said that have bring the composer of KD 0079 & KD 0084 back to make this soundtrack for K' Team
KD 0079 wasn't written by this guy. SHA-V confirmed that he wrote this version. I think he also wrote the KD from XI, KDD-0075.
Man this sucks. Techno doesn't suit K' at all. Give him a rock or punk theme

The composer for this one was the guy that worked on K's theme in 99' and 2000'. It suits them very well compared to XI and XIII's themes I'd say.

I think its decent like its not the best K' theme like 99,00,02UM,XI and XIII even tho i prefer 01 over this theme but its something atleast.
