if you read the background, you’d know her dress is inspired by early drawings hence the different lengths. the fabric her dress is made out of is also very expensive by the yard.
i am a die hard Sleeping Beauty fan, so maybe my lens is biased.
I read the background on it and know its based off of concept art - however the final design just doesnt hit the mark.
I am also. I love the dress. The face on that doll.is off. I'm a big malificent fan and I ordered the mattel mali and the aurua princess. What a set. Omg.
I just ordered her today may 1st 2024 and she is still available today as an anniversary present from my husband I can’t wait to see her
I personally really like her! I drove over to the resorts to pick one up when images first appeared. It's a shame the quality control is harder when buying online. Aurora bias aside, I love the Tiara reminds me of Princess Peach. The dress is very busy, but it certainly helps her stand out when put next to my other Aurora dolls. I love the way she reflects lighting off her dress, but def can understand it's a bit jarring at first.

I honestly really love her! And I’m a fan of this purple pink fabric. It reminds me of this purple ribbon that would shine pink at certain angles. One of my favorites. I hope she’s still available when I’ve saved up enough 🥰😌😓
I agree with you when you have your favorites they are perfect in your eyes, like you had said you didn't love the frozen set for the ten year and thats fine but they are perfect to me because frozen is my favorite disney movie and I had missed the originals so at least i have my hands on the new set and they are perfect to me :)

Thanks for the wonderful review! Aurora is my favorite Disney princess, so this doll was a must-buy for me. I don't like the dress, but I don't hate it either. I've been collecting the 17 inch dolls since 2013, and I still get stress flashbacks thinking of the crazy crazy year 2019 was for Disney doll collectors. I'm also pretty bummed that Disney isn't releasing as many 17 inch dolls as they used to.

Yeahhhh I am soo happy you reviewed her❤ I Already preordered her, I think she would become more acceptable if l restyle her hair a bit. Can’t wait to get one 😮 ( I can’t afford the double price of 60th anniversary version lol I guess she’s fine for being my first Aurora doll. Also have a little bit of hope for the new Ariel 35th anniversary to be released 😂)
I agree. I love the material that seems to change color but the split bodice with two colors was hard for me to reconcile so I didn’t get her.

I received mine on 5/7/24 and my box and sticker were slightly damaged unfortunately her hair is a mess but I can fix it, my number was a little bit lower than I thought it would be and my free gift with purchase was a $20 gift card for something else which I ended up using on a classic Ariel doll and am impressed with her as well, is she worth the $149 price tag yes and no
What’s interesting is that she sold out in Europe for minutes. I got her because I just started collecting but agree with you that the quality is not what it was years ago. Hopefully Disney will change that…
I really like how Aurora herself looks. Her dress looks pretty good too, although I agree that it should be more film accurate for the 65th anniversary. I’m still glad that you got and reviewed Aurora though. I hope we get some great one for The Little Mermaid’s 35th anniversary this year!
I absolutely 💯 love her, and I love her dress. I definitely love her more then Blue/Pink versions which i have. So I bought her today and I am very happy with that❤

I do love then briar Rose and the wedding set much more. And I also have the D23 smaller set. So I passed on this one , even though I think she is pretty. I just limited in space and sold my first one in the blue gown. I love your honest reviews. And i usually agree with you. I think that the bodice and sleeves are fine. And I love the color of the fabric that changes as you move it. And I als love that the 3 fairies are embroidered on the gown. But I wish rhey were a little more noticeable. And there was less of the window design. I don’t care for the abstract design on the skirt. It’s a little over the top. But overall it’s pretty doll, just not as beautiful as the Briar Rose and bride

I think she looks really lovely with the pink to purple dress gradient, which I think is a nice touch to the whole pink/blue argument from the film.
I do wonder if she's still available online as she has also been available to be purchased at the parks?
Either way, I have mine, and I'm happy to be able to add her to my collection. 👑
Edit: I forgot to add that my one complaint is the 65th sticker. Mine came a little crinkled. :(
Mine is crinkled too😔 and I do think she is still at Disneyland California!

Side question did Peter Pan anniversaries pass? I know they did a Tinker Bell but I would love a 17 inch Peter Pan.

I bought her, because I didn't had an Aurora yet. Love her face and hair, but yeah, the dress is nothing compared to the 60th Anniversary. I think if the 70th Anniversary Doll looks better, I will sell this one again.

So I had to order 2 of her because I was so disappointed with the first one I got. The box had a bit of imperfections…gold foil details rubbed off, dents, and the horrible sticker that was creased and ripped! Oh and both hands had a black mark. So I ordered a second one hoping it would be better, but nope. I ended up keeping the doll I originally had and switched out her hands with the second one because the second one had a snag on her dress and her hair curl in the front was all messed up! I switched out the better box too lol 😂 SMH!

Personally. I'm lucky so many people don't like this doll because I was worried it'd be sold out and that I wouldn't be able to get one. But lucky me she didn't sold out! And now I have one. Personally Sleeping Beauty is up there with my favorite princesses so this doll is perfect in my eyes and I adore her. Also I am actually a big fan of the dress. Just my unpopular opinion I suppose! 🩵🩷

I ended up returning the doll for a refund at Disney Springs Art of Disney store. Just a disappointment. Should have been a WOW doll. I have limited space and no room for so so dolls.
That's why I skipped her. Not 150 worthy. I had to buy groceries instead
She's a maybe if she goes on sale... Just not vibing with the design of the dress.
