    Unrelated, but there's a ton of omnis that need a redo in their printing and mapping. For example, the Brightest Day omnibus not only needs to rescan that one fuzzy issue, but they should include the Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps issues that actually tied in to the main story.

    • @GFauxfox
      @GFauxfox 9 месяцев назад +2

      But GL and GLC didn't really tie into the Brightest Day mini at all, which is one reason why the mini was not very good. It shouldn't have even been called Brightest Day but rather Prelude to Swamp Thing or something.

      It’s missing a bunch of tie ins right?

    Golden age ain't for everyone but I'm glad it is an omnibus for preservation and ppl trying save money lol you'd be spending a fortune on them singles issues

      Yeah the golden age stuff definetly needs to exsist. I wish they would collect stuff from the x-men legacy era.

    We need a comic book run that needs an omnibus run

    Marvel needs to get their mapping straight. Literally no reason for them not to print stories in reading order.

    The second dark knight series was a combined absolute with the original dark knight returns.

    I'm in one of Gem's vid, wohoo! These have been great. Even if it was not the idea from the beginning, this is a great way to come back to those group post where information and others opinion that sometime we ask or see and can't find it due to other posts. This can totally be a section in your channel.

    These type of videos are welcome. We do need more nuance or explain why omni's are either welcome or not-welcome. It shows everyone has a preference.

    It's hard not to agree with the Muppet Babies, but I'm sure they're collectors out there who appreciate that sort of thing

    Have to disagree about "thinner" omnibus opinions. Found *Dr. Strange Vol 1* to be intriguing and very suitable for lap reading. Only 456 pages but still it's all Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

    The snarky part of me wants to say that none of the modern Marvel/DC material needs to be released at all, let alone as omnibuses. ...But in all seriousness, if an event-omnibus is a mini-series and two-dozen tie-in issues, that seems like unnecessary padding. I'm glad I haven't read any books like that in my collection. (Yet.)

    One i found that i feel didn't need to be an omni was "heroes reborn" featuring the squadron supreme.

    They printed the Futures End tie-ins? I loved Futures End, had a load of lesser used characters, really love that series.

    I realize Robert Kirkman gets the hate for Marvel Zombies, but nobody puts Sean Phillips with him. He's praised for working indie projects with Brubaker. Put this on his resume also.

    Bottom 5
    1. Iron Man by Dan Slott
    2. Superman by Grant Morrison
    3. Knights Of Pendragon
    4. Fantastic Four by Matt Fraction
    5. Heroes Reborn (2021)

    They should just do ohc’s for the modern stuff. So oversized fans can get the newer stuff as well

  • @germaholic

    I don't understand why they came out with those Phoenix omnibuses, especially volume 2, where it mostly collects stuff from Uncanny X-Men 4 and 5 and Excalibur volume 2, all of which are still in print at the time Phoenix volume 2 came out, just a few months after Uncanny X-Men volume 5 was released.
    That and the King in Black omnibus, where you have everything you need for that storyline in Venom by Donnie Cates, so why bother. I'm fine with some other event omnibuses like House of M; they just needed to be mapped better.
    Oh yeah, and compilation omnibuses. I'd never buy one of those.

    I felt the opposite for Infinitie Crisis and Blackest Night. I felt Blackest Night was vastly strengthened by the tie-ins and Infinite Crisis dragged on far too long before the main event happened. It was a chore to get through many of those Infinite Crisis tie-ins, but getting to the main event was worth it!

    I just thought that a dope video to upload would be displaying all the different graphic tees that you’ve gotten over the last couple of years. I ended up picking up the Batman: The Animated Series shirt from Culture Kings after seeing you wear it. Shirt is 🔥🔥

    The other question is they keep making more omnibus and so some that need a reprint don’t get it.

    • @xposhboyx
      @xposhboyx 9 месяцев назад +1

      They have to judge what is going to sell enough to justify a reprint. Just because you personally need an omnibus that's out of print doesn't mean they can sell the thousands of copies they need to justify a new print run.

      I think the reason people didn’t say that is because the run itself isn’t bad, it’s the Omni’s mapping that’s bad.
