Okay so my son and I are vegan but my husband is carnivore. I made this for them today. My husband thought it was beef and broccoli and my son wanted to know what it was because it tasted like beef. I showed them your channel. All I can say is you can cook your *#* off. And you keep it simple.
This was good y’all! What I like the most is that it was quick. I sautéed the broccoli with a little shredded ginger and minced garlic . I did not have the peppers but substituted with some chiles.
Michelle, girl you have done it again. I tried this and it is a winner. (Somehow I bought trumpet mushrooms. They worked well.) Definitely making this again. Thanks!
Ok Michelle, back to the store I go for the King Oyster Mushrooms; I think I’ll go to the Asian Market first. My mouth was salivating when you had dished it all on the bowl. Once again Sis., thank you for this recipe. This is my 5th month as a Vegan and all I’m going to say is, I wished I would have started this journey a long time ago. But it’s never too late. 😊👍🏽😊
Congratulations on your new vegan journey 🙌🏽 This comment means a lot to me. Thank you for your support 🙏🏽I’m here to inspire 😊I remember when I started on my vegan journey over 25 years ago. Thank goodness for social media platforms in the present times 🙏🏽
@@myvegankitchenlife You have me in tears. At times it’s a challenge between work, travel and family and getting a great meal for myself without just going to bed with tea, fruit and water. Or when I’m out to dinner on a date, a little frustration trying to find a location to eat. I’m love it here and no plans to change. Your page gives me more motivated than you can ever imagine. I’m thankful that I stumbled across this page.!! Your purpose is helping MY PURPOSE 🙌🏽❤️
I just found you on RUclips. I so enjoy watching you cook. Maybe I think I can be vegan 😅 I'm going to make this and the scallop alfredo sauce. Looks so yummy 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Great video. Just a couple of tips: 1. Steam the broccoli for one to two minutes before adding it the pan (you can even steam it in the pan, and then add your other ingredients). That way, those out there with bad teeth can also partake; also, those new to the vegan life will have something easier on their stomach. Additionally, light steaming will not destroy the nutrient content of the broccoli. 2. Add your peppers to your mushrooms in the oil, or better yet, cook the mushrooms in chili oil (you can find a good recipe for making your own chili oil over at Yeung Man Cooking). 3. For a "healthier" meal (especially for those trying to lose weight and/or battling one or more chronic diseases), use brown rice. You might also want to go the extra mile by actually making it on the stove top, and do that first, as brown rice prepared that way takes a while to cook. Apart from that, once again, great video. Others may argue with your use of oil (did you use grapeseed oil again?) and coconut milk, as both are sources of fat--and those anti-SOS vegans are on the warpath about it--but it's the oil and the coconut in particular that makes this taste particularly good, I would imagine. You could probably make some substitutions and reduce quantities used (quantities matter, even in vegan cooking), but then I don't think the meal would taste as good. But then, that would open the doors to creativity and experimentation. Once again, great video. I learned a lot from your show. Please keep 'em coming!
Quick question, where do you find your mushrooms? Grocery store, farmers market, Asian market??? I’m slowly easing my way into vegan cooking and I absolutely love your videos. 💚💚
Every time I use those peppers, I cough and choke. I end up putting a mask on. I thought i was doing something wrong, but I see it makes u cough a little also. It looks great.
I would love to try that! I like Chinese food and oyster mushrooms. The last time I ordered Broccoli in garlic sauce from the Chinese spot i got sick!!
Another Win! Thanks for Sharing! I'm afraid of the chili peppers... Are they spicy hot at all? I'd also add more veggies maybe spinach, onions etc. And more groovy gravy! 😂
Thank you for your comment, and I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the recipe! In terms of the chili peppers, they can be spicy depending on the variety you use and your personal tolerance for heat. If you're concerned about the spiciness, you could use a milder chili pepper or omit them altogether if you prefer. I love the idea of adding more veggies to the recipe, like spinach or onions - they would definitely add some extra nutrition and flavor to the dish. And as for the groovy gravy, go for it! The more gravy, the better, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your feedback and happy cooking!

@@myvegankitchenlife Hi Michelle. For starters...let me say...another GREAT video! 😊 In your comment above, you stated that you used GALBI marinade for the "beef". What is it with the comments about using your hands in YOUR own kitchen that is so none comment worthy. Just do you in YOUR kitchen boo.
Can you get your camera tech to take pictures of your ingredients coconut can and barbecue sauce
Can I use yellow and red bell pepper stripes instead of the chilis?
Good evening. Can I do this with sliced baby Bella mushrooms?
Hey yes you can, however the more moisture the mushroom has the longer you need to fry them to get them dried out. 👍🏽
@@myvegankitchenlifethank you
What do you put in your rice
This looks delicious, and I don't like mushrooms 😅
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽♥️
Can you use almond flour or another type of flour instead of cornstarch
You can use all purpose flour also 👍🏽
How can you re-warm this meal if you want to take this for lunch?
Now it won’t be as visually appealing as when you first make it. But it can be reheated in the microwave 👍🏽
Can i use regular oyster mushrooms for this recipe since that is what i have
You sure can … just make sure you brown them nicely…almost crispy…so this way they’re not soggy once you add the liquid.
@@myvegankitchenlife i appreciate you and all you do. You truly have made my transition so amazing
