I really like this movie because it did leave you guessing. I felt like this movie and how it carried itself should’ve been the way knock at the cabin, should’ve played out.
I moved from San Francisco to the boonies in the mountains to help my mom, where early-bird specials and bingo nights in town are the hottest events of the week. Send help!
I just left the theatre and have to admit that I liked the film a lot more than I expected to based on early reviews. I thought the acting was fantastic, but was not quite sure what I thought of the ending. A solid 3/5 for me.
I would love to have more land between me and my neighbors, but I could not live out in the boonies. I need bookstores in driving distance to make me happy and maybe a coffee shop.
I would prefer living in a more suburban area or at least in a area with some people. Cities would be too crowded and more rural areas I would be too paranoid about what's out in the woods
This was great. I love the way Halle Berry played this character. We don't get much of her backstory, but she kept saying, "I used to be a different person," and the biggest change we can see between who she used to be and who she is now is motherhood. Motherhood made her a different person, and it changed her body and mind, maybe even amplified a problem she already had. Now there is no going back and there is no cure. You see her harsh, loving, scared, sad. This just made me think about people who are suffering from something with no cure, so they lean in to their faith. I don't think the rope was to protect the kids from the world, it was to protect them from her. The rope was how she could tell them apart from her visions, the only way she knew they were real. That's why she said, "I'm the darkness." Just saw the movie a few hours ago and I'm still thinking about it. And I'm shuddering at what I think was real and what was not, and she couldn't tell because they didn't have a rope on. Such a tragic film.
@@Quest4Horror Nah critics won't call a movie good just because it's progressive. A film having a progressive message doesn't automatically make it good and everyone knows that. Plus art is subjective and people will have different opinions on different art
THIS FILM WILL FLOP😮😮😮😮 i was the only 1 watching this film in the theater & it was 6pm showing 😮bizarre😮 IT IS NOT HORROR..more of a psychological film
The movie did exactly what it was supposed to do. I was questioning the mom and at on epoint looked at her as the villian. After the climax i was still questioning if the evil was real, or they were just malnourished and hallucinating. Also why the hell did the evil not go after amyone else? If the rest of the world is fine, then was it real? Who knows.....
Anyone thats ever truly been in spiritual warfare know exactly what this movie is about overall Witchcraft A Serpentine spirit, one of the most VILE THE PYTHON
I really need to watch this again. I fell asleep the first time, but I did see it at a festival so I'm blaming lack of sleep rather than it being a dull movie

I don't really watch trailers any more. But I'll still watch reviews 😂

LOL! That would be quite the contrast!

Yeah I am trying to make sense of the ending myself.
Yeah despite what most critics say any movie or story in general will find it's audience
WOW 4 out of 5, I'm going to watch it. Thank you Chris for sharing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Enjoyed the movie, loved the premise but wanted more explanation some way, somehow. I think the box had all the answers & it was likely lost.
I would love to have more land between me and my neighbors, but I could not live out in the boonies. I need bookstores in driving distance to make me happy and maybe a coffee shop.
Yeah I personally couldn't live out in the middle of nowhere
Oh myyyyy I was wondering if you would do this review and you did
I grew up in the country. I enjoy visiting, hunting, and fishing, but it's not for me to live.. I need the energy and fun that the city life gives me.
I would prefer living in a more suburban area or at least in a area with some people. Cities would be too crowded and more rural areas I would be too paranoid about what's out in the woods
Small towns suck! I need to get back to the city ASAP
I have to say the trailers didn’t do a thing to pull me in to wanting to see
Thanks for great vid review as always
Amazing movie!! Great and fair review
I don't like people so living in the boonies is awesome.
I totally feel that!!!
Thanks Chris

I think the director pulls a "High Tension" climax. Another Aja film.
Hold on, Chris, for the love of God, hold on!!!!
🤣😂
Very thoughtful review. I came up with my own backstory and who they came to be here. But it would be a spoiler.
i haven't seen the movie but i think i know where it's going, there's something very metaphorical about the story
But why are critics destroying this movie, average ratings are very low for this movie.
Most likely because it’s not a woke movie.
The negative reviews I have read say that it gets boring after the first 20 minutes, and many reviewers were disappointed by the "big reveal."
