MK1 VW Golf C retro modified build 

Follow along in our barn find retro modified Mk1 Volkswagen Golf C 1.1 as we restore modify and customise.
Originally this car came into us from a client, looking to restore, but decided his time had been spent with the vehicle. We were fortunate to buy it from him, and begin what we thought was a light restoration.
Having been told there is there any 26 remaining, we decided it needed a little more love and attention.
We never intended to go as far as we have done, but we are loving every moment as this project comes together.
There’s plenty more ideas in the pipeline, so watch this space as we show in more depth every think that has been done so far.

Nice green, and what kind of rear seats did you use? I didnt know they were available as split seats

They are actually VW Scirocco seats. Basically they fit straight into place apart from a little bit of modification for the retaining clips on the backseat. We completely lucked out as the tartan pattern matches, the green paint, strange VW never did this as a green GTi. 🤷‍♂️

May I ask? What fitment do you have on the rims and tyres? They fit the car so snug. It looks great.

Wheels look like JR Racing JR9 bbs reps, look like 15x8 all around, I'm very curious too, don't know why people do build videos and don't give wheel/tire suspension info

If you’re going to all that effort why would you paint over the side trim and bumper clips? It about £30 for new ones!

We never intended on going this far, but we ended up replacing all the trims and clips. 👍
