The Snowballs are WILD! And Bon-Bon is so sweet and calm with you. She's so pretty all ✨️gussied✨️ up. The twins charging and challenging you is something else! No wonder Rufio is always after them. I'm glad you said something about the pigs, hopefully that will give some understanding. *It's a process!* The safety of the pigs is paramount to just letting them outside. They are small now but soon they are going to be LARGE animals and that pen is NOT going to contain them properly, people need to realize this. Your pig escape video was one of the most anxiety inducing. You were extremely lucky to have suffered no casualties during that incident. I know you want your pigs to be able to be outside, but it needs to be safe for everyone on the homested first to do so. You do you Cody, everything in due time.

Yeah, it's bad enough that some chickens got in the pig pen I think the year before Wilbur and Charlotte... pretty sure he ended up with at least one dead chicken.
@evapunk522 A turkey got into the pig pen and he lost a turkey. I'm just seeing an ever growing amount of comments about the pigs never being able to go outside... He has to be sure it is safe for EVERYONE before he is going to be able to do that. Pigs are large animals and they are killers, they will eat anything in their path. I wish people would cut some slack. He is only one person doing all this. The pigs will eventually have an outside pen when it is safe for them and all other animals for them to be outside.
Plus they have a window and they're right by the barn door - I barely have that in my office at work....

When I was around 4-5, we had a few chickens and one rooster that always chased my poor mom around the yard. I remember my dad collecting eggshells and grounding them to add to their feed.

That was fun😂. The snowballs: if when you catch them, bring them up to your chest and sweet talk yhem a bit.They love to be petted under the chin to just past their crop. Mine will ask to be picked up now, lol

The chicken aprons might be a process.😂
If you put one arm through each elastic about elbow length on each side, catch the chickens that way (the elastic will stretch... Don't worry!!! Lol!), you catch them facing away from you, hold them by the wings, and kind of separate your arms to have each elastic slide down over your hand, and then they should pop on to the wing, then adjust... It should make putting on the aprons 100 times easier!!!

I don't know if you have a problem with the rate of breakdown in your compost pile but if you add yeast and it can be the yeast you get at the store just sprinkle some yeast in there it helps grow the beneficial bacteria helps break down compost quicker and helps balance the carbon to nitrogen levels so in the future if you ever have a big pile and you need to break it down a little bit quicker just sprinkle some yeast in there and mix it in a little bit it's not harmful to the animals and it's actually beneficial to your pile 😊

I never thought about them trying to eat the brush. I thought maybe you could mount it on the wall or something. Could you take the push broom you have and once in awhile crash them with. They seem kind of ichie. Just a thought. Don't know pigs
My daughter raised her ducks in the house. They wore duck diapers when running around the house.
Aww, the girls look so adorable. But Burt's going to bar you from coming into the Love Shack if you keep terrorizing his ladies. The clucking he gets from the ladies after just isn't worth all the hassle.😄

I put crushed egg shells around my vegetables in my veggie garden. Here in the U.K. there are lots of slugs. I don’t want to use chemicals so I crush eggshells the slugs won’t climb over them so my beans are safe 👌🏻

I think the clothes for chickens are for the chickens when they are moting, or may be they are to protect the hens backs from the roosters claws. 😆 good idea.
