I’ve come back to this horrid moment to remind myself of how far Mumbles has come. What a fighter she is! I can honestly hear the pain in your voice and even the unusual frustration towards the end at the mischievous ducks and chickens. I can’t imagine how upsetting it must have been finding her like that. I’m sure that as soon as she heard your voice she knew she was safe and the bond you’ve create these last weeks will truly last a lifetime x
I’m so srry to what happened to Mumbles. Just like you I have a soft spot and I pray she recovers quickly and there’s not damage and she’s able to get her vision back after all her swelling comes down. I know feathers take long to grow back. But adding the ointment well help keep a coat on the wound and heal her. I know she’s in the best of hands with you and Echo. Positive news is that she eating and drinking. That well help her keep her energy. Prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you, I have salve on her head and colloidal silver in her eyes, and just got terramycin for her eyes too. Been checking on her ever hour or two, giving her a warm rag compress and she's just resting.
Aww poor mumbles she just wanted to be near her ducks, she’s probably so worried about her ducks bc she’s scared Piper is going to attack again. Poor baby :( she had such a rough first night I’m glad that she is doing a lot better currently, I pray her recovering is extremely fast🙏❤️
Ms Mumbles feels so safe with you! This is 2 time I have watched this. Amazing to see her now! 3 eggs & pin needles popping up. Job well done! Ms M, you ROCK!!
Ohhh...I found the video where it started with Mumbles. 😢 I feel so bad for her. Glad you know what happened...😕 Tough stuff. Now I understand what happened. ❤
Oh the poor sweet babygirl, thank God she has such a kind soul like u to care for her, it's really heartwarming to see someone else love all animals as much as I do... I love watching your videos, thanks for sharing your beautiful life with us ❤
You are an amazing man. I simply love the way you care for your animals. God bless you and your animals. I love watching you and the babies. God bless Mumbles.
I saw this when your first posted this and have been following Mumbles fantastic progress in her recovery. This crossed my FYP and I had forgotten how bad it was in the beginning. Amazing how well she is doing now!
This is the first time I've seen the video of mumbles after she got attacked... it did look pretty bad.. but you did so well taking care of her and making sure she was OK and safe ❤.. thank you for helping her😊
Aww Cody I’ve never watched this before I found you on my shorts when Mumbles was first attacked. I knew it already but the care and concern you show to her warms my heart. Mumbles only survived thanks to you. You did such an amazing job of getting her back to healthy. Wish there was more like you in this world.
People seem to think turkeys are docile and stupid. They’re NOT! Turkeys are brutal, they have that back claw that can do major damage. Stupid? I think not. Hope Mumbles is okay. She cleaned up well. ♥️
Turkeys are one of those animals that are ghe epitomy of clever isn't the same thing as smart. They aren't very smart birds but they are clever. And once they grow up they're not very friendly either. I have a trio of Chinese or Aftican geese. The male constantly attacks me. I also have a quartet of broad breasted white turkeys. They're only a couple months old. When the gander attacks me the two young males actually start chasing him. That goose fears two things. The dogs and those young turkeys.
Poor Mumbles! Our family loves her and thinks she is so cute! We love in the other videos when she comes running out of the gate with her wings spread open! We really hope she feels better! Please keep everyone posted on her recovery. Our family enjoys your videos and how you talk to all your animals like they are your family! Well, they are, aren’t they!? 😁
Do you give Echo Pup commands in German? Also, you have such a good nature about you. I love it! We have several hens, roostera and 3 geese, and I swear they pick up on our vibes. Your critters are healthy and happy. That says a lot about your care!
This is the first time I’ve watched this video. 😢 all the right things were said. I’m Glad I’m seeing this now knowing the outcome. This is so heartbreaking ❤️🩹
You're doing great with her. If the eye color is clear, she has a good chance of keeping her vision. Attckers go for the eyes to deliberately disable. If they're not injured, she should be ok. To herd ur chicks, extend your arms and lean slightly. Be a fence. To direct them, simply move that hand around. Takes practice but you'll all catch on quickly.
Mumbles looked so bad and tired. 😪 poor mumbles. You and pup are so awesome with every chicken 🐓 and duck 🦆 on the farm. Pup is so attentive. I love when pup got all excited when mumbles was put in ICU and finally safe. LOVE IT💜❤️🩹
😢oh, sweet mumbles, when I start watching your program, she makes me smile, she is so sweet and cute. Broke my heart to see her hurt, 💔 So proud on how gentle you were in taking care of sweet mumbles, love the way Echo pup was trying to help and look after mumbles Prayers for her to get better soon You and Echo pup is the Best
Wow, I really hope Mumbles recovers quickly, that must have been tough to walk in to, I know you have a soft spot for her. I'm sure you'll give her the best care possible, and the way she rested her head in your hand shows she trusts you. Hoping the next video is good news🤞🙏👍
Thank you, I care for her a lot but there is no speedy recovery. The feathers can grow back, could take a year for that. But I'm mainly worried about her eyes, they don't look good. I'm hoping to find good news somewhere..
I'm so sorry for Mummbles. It's just terrible when they get hurt, you're doing a great job. I Love how much you love your pets. But I'm with you if you get rid of piper. I wouldn't take the chance. Get well soon Sweet Mummbles.
Oh no, poor mumbles, I’m so sorry for what’s happened. She has so much trust in you. You are so gentle and caring with her. You are an amazing person. Thank you for everything you do and sharing it with us 🤗
Aw poor Mumbles, I feel terrible for her🥺. I have an eye phobia too. It freaks me out as well but when it comes to my fur friends I will push through too. 😅
Poor Mummbles. I could tell in your voice you care for your animals. Of course I already knew that by watching you interact with them. I will be thinking of her and hope she gets better real soon. Can you get some type of netting over the opening at the turkey hut? So then she wouldn't be able to get out.
That would be a very large net. However I have no desire to turn my homestead into a zoo of caged animals though. Sometimes they'll need separated for breeding but I like them out and about experiencing life as much as possible. There's just no room here for mean animals, she became a predator against Mumbles and most likely will attack again. It's very sad and not an easy decision.
I get that 100% my chickens are in a fence to keep them safe. I have 4 Boxers, they want to lick the chickens lol. We are here for you. Thanks for answering me back. @@WhittAcresHomestead
So sorry to hear about Mumbles. I saw on a short she's eating and drinking. Hope the weather holds up to help continue her recovery. Such a bad time of year to be hurt. SMH at Piper. 💕💕🎶🎶
I can't believe that I'm just watching this now. OMG Cody I felt your pain and concern for Mumbles and poor Mumbles. Thank God I know the outcome now. 😢😢😢
"Aaahh they're gonna make me get my chicken mover!" 😂 That part was funny. But this is the first time I've seen this particular video. A little chaotic under the circumstances. You handled it very well, and we know that the outcome has been good, even if Piper did go away to Freezer Camp. 😔
Ah! So he did end up sending Piper to the forever box? I was guessing that would be the outcome. He seems to take mean animals on his homestead very seriously, and I don’t blame him for it! These animals are as much his family, as they are his livelihood! So happy Mumbles made it!
When catching ducks, place one hand either side of the body, over the wings, and lift the bird. Alternatively, ducks may be caught and gently lifted by the base of the neck for a minimal time before transferring the bird to your hand and arm. Holding briefly by the neck minimises flapping and therefore reduces injury.
This is my second video I have watched from your channel. And I'm definitely subscribing. You are awesome with the animals. Kind and caring and I definitely am subscribing right now. Looks like I found me a awesome channel.
For your chickens, we used plastic milk crates for them to sit and lay their eggs. They were mounted on the wall. Then, I took cardboard and but in the bottom, so Chick's could not fall out.
I can’t imagine how scary it must’ve been to find Mumbles like that… actually I can, I once found my dog stuck in the pool filter. I didn’t have time to panic, I just got him out (which wasn’t easy) & to the vet. He wasn’t expected to survive but he did. I know Mumbles survives this too. Idk if I can ever forgive Piper for this. When Mumbles squashed a duck it was because needed more space. Piper wasn’t being stressed in any way when she went for Mumbles
I know this is an older one but I’m pretty new sooo I’m glad nibbled pulled thru. I think I would send piper to camp. She can’t. E doing things like that. 🙏🏻❤️🦃🚫🙏🏻
It's not uncommon for this to happen for turkeys to do this but bear in mind she will attack her again something you're going to have to seriously think about keeping our mixed with them we had the same problem so in the end how to remove to Turkey it's a big decision you have to make but Mumbles Health and Security comes before the Turkey still love the programs well done for what you're doing I'm God bless you for being a caring person
Thank you, and I've said it before, I can't have mean animals, I thought it would be a rooster problem first but I was always concerned with putting the turkeys with everyone else. Sadly I can't trust her anymore.

The way she rested her head in your hand proves you have an amazing soul and these animals know it. ❤
You are so kind!

Aw, so sad. Thanks for your great care
Never put ducks geese or chickens in with turkeys ,turkeys are mean and will peck other birds to death
I ❤love how doggo always gets in there to sniff and tell you where the injuries are located. Or the culprit… Pipper.

Just saw this video. You are so kind and loving. Thanks for caring for her. Today she looks so good. Mumbles is sooo special.
This brings me to tears.
My father used to clean and dressed my wounds.
He’s older now and isn’t as active. I’m thankful for the childhood he gave me.
I like how you talk to her they know what's up and it helps them get through it easy
The communication is key, she always responds when she hears my voice
I love Cody's stance. " No mean animals on the farm." So true!! Go nurse Rita.
00:52 When you first squeezed the water on her wounds, she sighed a big sigh. Her whole body gently moved. 😢

Poor poor poor mumbles, what a traumatizing event. Chickens and puppy all trying to figure out what’s going on - a very tough day for everybody!
I'll join your channel just because of this video. The kindness you showed, even towards both birds, is amazing. Love your voice. Do you ever blink? 😊
