A tip for Torkoal users: if you are using the standard max HP Torkoal (which reaches 177), Eruption is more powerful than Heat Wave as long as your current HP is higher than 110 (technically 112, but 110 is easier to remember). There are a couple of times in the video when Cybertron went for Heat Wave (like 38:05 or 1:28:15) but Eruption was still slightly more powerful (and no chance to miss)
In the first match you are preparing for Dondozo Tatsugiri lol but your opponent had solo dozo 😂 we are so conditioned to seeing them together we automatically think that’s what they have
A note about Gallade, sacred sword pretty much always one shots archalidon because it ignores def boosts. Liligant H is so much better than people expect it to be, solar blade hits crazy hard. The only real downside here is I’ve coincidentally been running a really similar set for weeks and now I’m going to have to play the mirror way more often on ladder because teams Aaron features always get more popular lol.
As a viewer I really like that the format has no restricteds. I think its a lot more interesting when you arent compelled to manuever around big set pieces in your team since not bringing your uber can feel like throwing sometimes. I think it opens up the meta to be more diverse even though the overall number of pokemon went down.
Just getting back into Pokémon after about a decade. So glad you’re still making videos and kicking butt in VGC. Watching your vids again feels like coming home
This is a really fun format because so many things are surprisingly viable. I got randomly smoked by a normal Typhlosion with blast burn out of nowhere earlier and laughed so hard
Cybertron talking about a tatsugiri in game 1 made me so confused, I was certain I just misread the team and was getting light anxiety about the fact that he kept talking about it XD
I love Reg H! Not only do Legendary Pokémon often bottleneck viable teams (this regulation definitely has the most diverse array of different team builds), but it also makes tournaments more realistic to what they would actually look like if Pokémon were real, which is so cool to imagine!
I had to play this team in my first match tonight in ultra ball rank. Thank you for the heads up. The team is only described as versatile. The leads and back mons work so well regardless what speed control is active. I lost lol
I got so surprised you didn't noticed Tatsu's absence on the entire first match, I was thinking at every moment you're gonna notice, but actually didn't happen lol
I’ve been watching your videos the past 2 months. This is my first ever regulation and I just reached master ball tier today! Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and player Aaron!!
I'm so excited for this video! Long weekend here where I live, I get to stay up late and watch the whole video! It's a very interesting Trick Room team too which is always a blast to see used to it's full potential! Especially with the new rule set and it's scaled back power level, very happy they did that. I like seeing the more unique teams, the different strategies, the different sets, the new meta, I love it!
LOL!!! A played against a player using this team in ranked while watching this video. Knowing all the movesets helped me tremendously. He almost got me with the trick room torkoal at the end but luckily i had dragapult and Av incenroar in the back. As always great videos and coverage 🙏🏾
I also just played against someone using this team lol. I haven't watched the full video yet, but they didn't bring sun and never even tried to set TR, so it was an easy win
@@ruwisc_the person i played against thought i was going to fall for wide guard and could’ve easily smoked my blood moon ursaluna with gallade and didn’t attack. It was just follow me and wide guard until they eventually did trick room. Torkoal came back with a double ko but was quickly destroyed LOL.
@cybertron, it's time for some positivity from me haha Thank you for setting up your tech properly. It's almost flawless now. But definitely a big improvement than some videos befor. Thank you for making these great videos. I'm ngl after a very successful reg g ive had a lot of trouble replicating the same success in reg h. These videos are helping a ton giving me ideas tho and i really appreciate it!
How do team builders choose between regular and Blood Moon ursaluna? As a spectator, when I watch players use Blood Moon, it ends up seeming strictly better due to not having to worry about intimidate and not needing to wait a turn for the flame orb to activate. But I see plenty of teams opt for regular Ursaluna so I am definitely missing something
A couple of things: - the team’s physical damage vs special damage (this team has a lot of good special damage under TR with Armarouge and Torkoal, so it’s nice to have regular Ursaluna to hit on the physical spectrum) - what likes to Tera on the team (BM loves Normal Tera to do more damage, regular Ursaluna doesn’t need an offensive Tera and other Pokemon like the TR setters on this team need Tera more often so if you had BM, it would generally not be able to Tera as often) - type of team (Trick Room, Tailwind)
Loving this format, and yes refreshing is a great word for it. Rain is super strong right now and I kinda wish there wasn’t as much rain on the ladder, but seeing Pokémon like Volcarona close to the top of usage is really cool!
QOTD: Though they were op as heck, I miss the paradox mons. I especially miss brian hands, love that funny looking robot. And flutter mane's jaw dropping power sure was something to witness. Edit: I'd also like to add I do NOT enjoy seeing the return of Dozo/Tatsu combo, idk why I just hate them both so much. Hopefully it dies out as the reg goes on.
Loved this video! Idk if it's just me, but it feels like the audio isn't synced up to the video at the beginning. Maybe it's just the full screen camera making me pay super close attention lol
I actually created a rain room team back during Reg F without any paradox or non-restricted legendaries and it was pretty fun. Probably not the most competitively viable, but still entertaining and caught a few people off guard.
I'm fairly new to VGC and your video's are always insightful. I copied a team you featured early on in Scarlet/Violet and hit Master Ball for the first time. The helping hand sacred sword in game 1 on indeedee was a rolll, a favorable roll with only 2 rolls not killing but still a roll, assuming it had the same defensive spread that yours had otherwise if it didnt it was likely not a roll
Wont scope lens be a better item on Gallade? Psycho cut is a high crit move right? And sacred sword ignores intimidate drops? Or am I wrong on both fronts?
Psycho Cut is 1/8 chance to crit and Scope Lens would get that to 1/2 chance - good, but not consistent Sacred Sword ignores opposing stat changes (such as Defense boost and drops) but not your own stat changes, so Intimidate does affect you
I’d argue that in Game 3 you have the knockout on Archaludon without Tera and you should never expect pelipper to be able to attack since gallade will always move first (unless they are slow pelipper I guess). That gets you a double knockout with a free double up into dragapult on the next turn with a turn of trick room to spare afterwards. Also, Tera is still available against sneasler. Does that make sense? (Assumes gallade moves before)
I don't think I understand, how is a double knock out happening that turn? Neither Gallade nor Ursaluna can get a one-hit knock out onto their Archaludon so I need to double into it. Gallade can of course target Pelipper, but if it does, that means Archaludon survives the Facade and just KOes either Pokemon with +2 Draco Meteor.
@@CybertronVGCI’m apparently just uneducated lol. I didn’t know that you keep your original stab after Tera. So facade has the same damage output regardless of Tera. I thought that Tera ghost reduced your damage output with facade, which is incorrect. My bad 😞
Lol I saw somebody using this team last night on the ladder and I cooked their torkal with choice scarf annihilape final Gambit right after they Tera'd turn one, laughed so hard
Still solid into Rilla/Gholdengo/weather control (but also I just assumed there was Tatsugiri in team preview and was too excited to show off Torkoal LOL)
During team preview he said "Dondozo, Tatsu" he misread the preview and was working under the impression that Dozo and Tatsu were both there when they weren't. Sometimes our brains fill in gaps that don't need to be filled in.
I like the format, but archaludon is a huge stain on it. While would have been some collateral damage, I think the best option would have been to also ban 600 BSTs.
A tip for Torkoal users: if you are using the standard max HP Torkoal (which reaches 177), Eruption is more powerful than Heat Wave as long as your current HP is higher than 110 (technically 112, but 110 is easier to remember). Loving this rule set!!
decided to try out this team and the first person i come up against is using it as well 😭😭😭😭 your influence is too strong
Love the new format
Random request, is there a viable Scizor team?
Can you try using a kommo-o team?
The solo Dozo disrespect 😭
That dozo was probably covert cloak
Shiny psyduck team when?
Should've put Solar Blade on Gallade.
Sharpness works with Solar Blade.
The other moves are all way too important, you don’t really need the Grass coverage and you’re often going to have Gallade out without Torkoal active
@@CybertronVGC Yeah, but it would be a lot of fun to see how much damage it would do.
Aaron clearly doesn't keep up with James' teams. So many James Baek rentals running around the ladder.
when the intro changes ❤
My early thoughts have been lucario does a lot of work suprisingly
I’m annoyed how much I didn’t get to see the Armarouge do anything
Ive been loving this format. Many more pokekon are viable, only ruined by archaludon rain
Gooday mate
I love the format so far. Just think that it would be healthier without Archaludon
weavile has obviously seen a lot of success, but it's non-special movepool is atrociously shallow
I like the format, but archaludon is a huge stain on it. While would have been some collateral damage, I think the best option would have been to also ban 600 BSTs.
Wait room service Gallade is actually kinda heat
Thanks 🎉
