I just bought this watch while on vacation. Its amazing. Normally I wear watches with a case diameter of around 42-43 but when I put this on in the store that 50+ lug to lug really made this wear bigger than it is. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and the watch fits really well.
After owning this Hamilton for 6 months, this is the most complimented watch I’ve ever owned. Lol. I have an Omega, Breitling and Tag aqua racer….For some reason this Hamilton gets more attention.
I agree on compliments. I own a Rolex and Tudor. I got the 40mm Sprite on bracelet for a daily and wow. It fits so well with the bracelet on my 6.5 wrist plus the construction with brushing and polished chamfers. The milled clasp and bracelet is just high quality. Reminds me of Omega. I liked the watch so much I bought the OEM rubber strap. For $560 on Jomashop anyone looking for a high quality Swiss automatic, I think you could never go wrong. Plus 100 meters of depth is a joke. Solid Screw down back with a screw down crown I bet this watch goes well past 200 meters!
I own this watch. It’s one of my favourites. I have always said it’s a very under rated watches. I find mine fits me great and I actually like that there is no taper to the bracelet like my omega. I thinks it’s a great watch but it could use better water resistance
A great review. A real shame that the movement had a problem to spoil what is a nice piece. I have to agree with your comments about the bezel and hands. I would have liked to see a lume pip on the bezel and the restricted movement on the female drop links may be an issue for some. It actually looked OK on your wrist though so it's probably less of an issue. I have a Hamilton Murph that also has long lugs but the lugs drop significantly allowing the watch head to sit comfortably on the wrist. It just goes to show we can't always go by the measured figures. Always better to try the watch on if possible.
just bought the new 43mm with the blue dial. It is a great watch overall, nice ceramic bezel, beautiful blue dial, and a great movement (- 1-2spd). You will definitely get what you pay for. Much better deal than tissot or seiko imo. However, I wish there are improvement on several things such as the finishing of the bezel, sharp edges on the bracelet, and the slight misalignment of the 12 marker on the bezel. The bucket is a bit hard to press but it is not a huge issue. These should not cost much for swatch and will make the watch a killer and highly value for the money.
Love those hands and the big crosshair! I prefer this one in terms of style, but if specs matter to a buyer, this one is hard to justify over a Glycine Combat Sub. Feels like Certina has near-exclusive rights to WR over 100M on this rung of the Swatch Group ladder. :-/
I have the orange bezel nato version of this it’s ok probably only 7/10 I feel my orient kamasu has better finish and dimensions overall the Hamilton is to long and don’t like the downturn on the case but market for pre owned is flat as pancake in uk at moment so will leave to next year and see if worth flipping it
The H-10 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve, contains a balance spring made from NivachronTM, a game-changing alloy that’s resistant both to magnetic fields and temperature changes, ensuring absolute stability and accuracy. Hamilton is using 316L / 1.4404 stainless steel for its watches!
I’m starting to wonder if Hamilton purposely designs their watches to have very long lugs so as to mimic the “H” logo. Whatever the case, I picked this watch up last week and rate it 6.5/10. Awesome review again man 👊
Prefer the newly announced 43mm updated version with the ceramic bezel. I’m hoping there will also be a smaller 40mm version with a more wearable lug to lug length,
@@AmcoAutoGlass The substance of your message is correct , i own this watch but 100 mts are for swimming pool swimming at sea and shower. If you need use it for immersion I think that is not the correct one. In any case an every day watch, a best buy.
@@filippobiasott7162Salut. Ești mulțumit de ceas? Îmi place mult. As vrea și eu unul, dar cei vr100m ma sperie ca nu sunt suficienți pentru înotul în mare. Acuratețe? Mulțumesc
Not really very eye catching design not retro not original or modern really kind of boring really would've been better to either go straight for a benrus or other American 70s designed diver...benrus udt tropical tropicalized logo on the back only would be cool too.
Wow...FT...quite possibly the worst movement readings Ive ever seen on the channel 😆😆😆...Also why oh why do so many Nice Hamilton watches have such huge L2L measurements? Would be nice to see some sub 49" releases.... otherwise, Seiko and Squale are just going to keep getting my money 💰

Very nice!
Same for me. I have this watch in blue and it's fantastic!
How does it wear? The 40mm sounds a little small (I'm no Popeye, but I normally go for 41-43mm). Thanks

I just bought one of these. Really nice and heavy, I like it more than the tudor black bay
I got the black/orange on a black nato. Very daily driver and feels toolish for me. Great work mate. Cheers !
These are often on sale at Macy's. They have a Pepsi bezel one that looks great. Cheers.
Definitely going to cop this. I’ve got a khaki field already
Thanks for not editing out the malfunctions.
Always!
Love Hamilton's Looks, Quality & History, "HOWEVER" , I Can't Wear Them due to The LONG LUGS!

is this 40 mm has a screwdown crown?
@@blakris9382 Yes it does.
I really like the date window and location. If it was black, at its current location, it would be too confusing as it would blend in.

so true! Thanks for chiming in.
World Record for the Channel on this one. I do not think we will ever beat this. SWISS MADE BABY! -falling
Can you keep us in touch for what happend to the watch if it is send back?

Any update of the timegraph problem of this Hamilton?
Great looking watch, can't find it thought in EU under USD 1300, incl. vat

Did you determine the weight on bracelet?
is this 40 mm has a screwdown crown?
did u get the chance to test another one to see if this problem is only on the one u review? thanks
Yes I tested a random one from inventory and it was within spec

Interesting! and yes 6.5 is a good call.
I am thinking about this and the newest RLG Odysea. The only reason to buy this one for me is the brand name. What do you think?
Sorry I have not seen or heard of the RLG Odysea to be able to help.
Why-oh-Why Can't Hamilton SHORTEN the Lugs! I Love Hamilton, I Love It's History. I Can't Wear "Most" of Them because of the LONG LUGS!
Am I blind, I don’t see the Khaki Navy Frogman review on your channel? Checked twice looking back at least 6 months. Is it an older review?
It was filmed before but is not live. It has been pushed back a couple weeks.
Where is the lume in bezel marker?

yeah excited to see that one and hoping for redemption
skx is better for diving but feels cheap compared to the hamilton.
Beautiful design. I wish the L2L was smaller, but aesthetically this watch looks great. It made the Seiko look so cheap and like a toy.
So this one is not chronometer rated? 😆😉
I do not like the date at 4.30... and the movement should be serviced right now indeed.
Yes Hamilton received this watch recently and is servicing it.
Why it should be serviced?
well done but this is not a diver but a field watch
It's literally called "NAVY SCUBA" as in scuba diving

Stainless steel bezel is a deal breaker for me at this price point. I have watches half this price with ceramic bezels.
Well that was a bit of a catastrophe. But then anything would be a flop after the Oris
amen!
Nice face design, but case shape and finishing too basic! Thanks for the quality reviews!

Yea its definitely off putting but wore surprisingly well on my wrist somehow! Hoping the new ceramic model redeems this watch!
awful qc watch
Wow, a total disaster.
