To look at videos of you, while you were alive
you even had a sense of humor, to be such a
tough guy, it's almost spooking to realize you'll
never speak again, what a legacy to leave for
your kids
Why was your street reputation, more important
then being my dad, I turn to your videos when I
want to see you laugh!
None of your so-called friends come around
anymore, when you were alive they came around
every day, when you left us, they too went away!
I was hoping one of your friends would attend my
football games, yet I see no familiar faces in the
stands, this hurt runs deep like your blood in my
veins
Our school's Daddy and Daughter Dance has come
and gone, I felt so alone, I watched my friends dance
with their fathers, I thought to myself, I too, used to
be someone's daughter!
My friends pass around pictures of them and their
dads, if they only knew, it makes me miss you so
bad, I try so hard to hide my painful tears, dad God
only knows how much "I Wish You Were Still Here"
