      Could be hormonal, or you may just need clinical skin treatments + products instead. The ordinary is basic and affordable however for stubborn hyperpigmentation, best to book into a clinic for a skin analysis for skin treatment recommendations, and they can prescribe you some higher quality skincare xx

    Hello! You are so amazing.. i was finding something like this for so long.. i have dry skin and light brown indian skin and have bad hyperpigmentation on sides on forehead, sides of cheeks, dark circles, smile lines, and my whole face is uneven and 3-4 shades darker than my neck and my whole body. I have went two dermatologist till now and both didn't work and last one gave me some secret cream which i dont know its ingredients but it might be steriod or hydroquinone at high level. I have left all those things. And consulting a 3rd dermatologist who is giving me hostilic and root cause treatment. The skin care he gave me is very simple but with high spf 30 and 50 moisturizer n sunscreen. If possible can you help me suggest something that i can add in my treatment after 1 month of current treatment which can help even tone my skin?

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  Год назад +16

      Unfortunately with the Ordinary you cannot mix niacinamide or retinol with their vitamin C.
      Morning:
      Cleanse, Vitamin C, moisturise, sunscreen
      Night:
      Double cleanse, niacinamide followed by retinol in squalane, moisturise
      You can incorporate lactic acid 2x per week in morning or evening routine as long as you wear sunscreen but use alone and without any other actives.
      E.g - cleanse, lactic acid serum, moisturiser, sunscreen ☀️
      Or night time - cleanse, lactic acid, moisturise.
      Every skin is different so if you find that is too stimulating - you can reduce the retinol nights and do this instead
      Double cleanse, niacinamide + moisturiser

    Azelaic or lactic acid,which one is more effective for acne scars?

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  Год назад

      Is it post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from breakouts or is it scarring from cystic acne?
      Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation - both azelaic and lactic are great to help brighten the skin and fad dark spots.
      Vitamin A/Retinol as well.
      Acne scars are deeper within the skin and will require a series of skin needling sessions by a professional skin therapist. Home care will be your Vitamin A, B, C, lactic acid liquid exfoliant.

    Thanks for an awesome video. I use differin prescription (adapalene) and also just bought Naicinamide 10%+1%zinc and 8%ascorbic acid + alpha arbutin. Can i use them all together at night, or how would my routine look like. Would you recommend using anything else instead -mainly for hyper pigmentation and cystic acne scars

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  Год назад +6

      Hey Sara! Awesome sounds great, you just need to use them seperately in your routine. Try this routine for 4-6 weeks to allow your skin to adjust to the new actives.
      Every day in the Morning:
      Cleanse
      Tone (optional)
      ascorbic acid + alpha arbutin
      Moisturise
      Night 1:
      Cleanse
      Tone (optional)
      Exfoliant
      Moisturise
      Night 2:
      Cleanse
      Tone (optional)
      Adapalene
      Moisturise
      Night 3:
      Cleanse
      Tone (optional)
      Niacinamide
      Moisturise
      Night 4:
      Cleanse
      Tone (optional)
      Niacinamide
      Moisturise
      REPEAT
      After 4-6 weeks if your skin is going well with no irritation, you can step up your retinoid by removing niacinamide from night 3 and replace with Adapalene. Continue with niacinamide for night 4 and then repeat back to night 1
      Also cystic acne scars are tough to treat with skincare alone, as they are deeper within the skin. A series of treatments of microneeedling gives great results for deeper scarring. It will just depend on the scarring. Remember consistent use of the skincare is important and results take time (months) so be patient xx

      Are you referring to retinol/retinod? Vitamin A can be stimulating at first, so we recommend you introduce the ingredient slowly - every 2nd or 3rd night you would apply the serum underneath your moisturiser. Then after a month or so if your skin is reacting well you can build up to use it more

      Yes you can continue using the niacinamide, but look at adding the vitamin c + alpha arbutin serum for morning use.

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  Год назад +3

      Hey there! I would use lactic acid as it is a larger molecular size and less irritation for your skin.
      Alpha arbutin is awesome for hyperpigmentation, so I would this in the morning underneath your moisturiser and spf.
      and then 2 x per week use lactic acid in the evening :) underneath night cream.
      See how you go with those 2 and then you can look at including a retinoid/retinol into your routine a few times a week in the evening.
