I'd love to hear more about Tina’s erhu work in films. It’s a very fitting instrument for so many scenes. How to describe it? More woody and resonant than the violin. Was Bear McCreary the first to write erhu into soundtracks? If we hear erhu in western films can we assume it’s Tina playing?
Does she ever tune the erhu in a non-traditional way for film pieces?

Thank you both for the awesome interview! Was great hearing your advice, getting myself out on the internet is definitely something I struggle with (both as a musician and a composer), but listening to you talking about it surely gave me a huge boost in motivation to do so. (That, unless I want to find myself harvesting potatoes in a few years out of uni... :D)
