I'd love to hear more about Tina’s erhu work in films. It’s a very fitting instrument for so many scenes. How to describe it? More woody and resonant than the violin. Was Bear McCreary the first to write erhu into soundtracks? If we hear erhu in western films can we assume it’s Tina playing? Does she ever tune the erhu in a non-traditional way for film pieces?
