Here is my version of The Gael (aka Main Theme from the Last of the Mohicans.) I hope you like it! The song was originally written by Scottish Singer-Songwriter Dougie MacLean and the rhythm I used for accompaniment is modeled after the original. The Gale was later adapted by Trevor Jones as the Main Theme for The Last of the Mohicans. I love this song so much and it's really taken on a life of its own with so many amazing versions available on RUclips to check out if you have the time and interest!

The original song is called 'The Gael' by Scottish artist, Dougie MacLean. The Gaels were people that thrived on the west coast of Scotland and Ireland thousands of years ago. I was born and raised in this part of Scotland; your cover really resonates with me. Thank you.

Looking for the original I came upon this, something about this song and the way it was used in the movie always felt so powerful and emotional. Listening to this version I felt the similar tug at my heart from the music, the feel of the vibrations resonating in your chest and head the way only certain songs are able to achieve. Well done, beautiful cover of an amazing piece of work.

miss guo....I must say you play with a passion very few people posses...please make a longer version of this song ....I play a little over a 6 min rendition of last of the mohicans a bit faster than you but I think both guitar and chello would be MAGICAL SOUNDING!
