Hi Guys, I'm Harper's 👵. She visited a couple of days ago; normal kid, heating slime in the microwave and insisting we touched it 😅. When she is with her family and friends you'd have no idea there was this mini celebrity thing happening for her. She has a solid support network with her Mum and Ben and her Dad Jake. Courtney, Spiritbox, Jason/Pale Cord have been absolutely amazing in their support of Harper and if this all ends here it has been a fabulous life experience for her. Thank you for all for the positive support you give. 😊
Thank you for the interview. I love her. Spiritbox was so sweet to our daughter at a fl show. She made them a pic and got a security guard to hand it to Michael . She walked away with drum sticks , a pic and a air kiss from Courtney. I love this band
The Grand Rapids Spiritbox show was my first ever indoor concert ever. The whole experience was beyond words amazing. The whole band was on another level live.
These interviews are always so fluid and personal, nothing but praise for your interview style. Can't wait for Spiritbox to come out here, hopefully after the next future album release they can start to headline and get the longer sets.
Noooo i just seeing this!!!! I discovered them a couple of days ago and im obsessed! They are so good and her control!! What the hell! I hope they grow bigger than the beatles and come visit Chile🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yup just like it happened in their last tour here in the states. A ton of people showed up for spiritbox. I was very surprised. It almost felt like they were headlining that tour 🤣
I could listen to Courtney talk for hours (and have!). Her podcast Good For A Girl is so calming and inspiring for anyone else who'd like to listen to her talk more about the industry in general. Loved the interview guys! I'm sure it's awesome for you too but thanks for giving us the opportunity to hear from these great artists. It takes a lot of skill to ask the right questions and make an interviewee comfortable, and it seems like you nailed it.
You know it's an interview with a Canadian when it starts off talking about the weather 😂 (seriously though, send help, BC is scorching hot right now!!). Amazing interview!! I have a whole new appreciation for her after this.
I find it amazing and it makes me so happy for Spiritbox that bands are asking them to join them all across the world it's so crazy and they deserve it all !
So crazy!! You blokes are lucky. Going from watching this interview to listening to their music, particularly the breakdown in Hysteria, so amazing to see this side of her and then the deep and beastly side in their music. Love it
I love Courtney knows where the band is at currently and is super comfortable with it because i think that keeps the band really humble and connected to their fans, but to all of us spiritbox are just getting better and better!
@@needfoolthings luckily they maybe kind of sort of soon or never be coming here. But the offer is there. I have no idea how to arrange a headline show but I can get them all here... that's a start haha! Roche Estate please!
Freaking LOVE Spiritbox. I found out about them a month ago & immediately joined their Patreon. They're really cool people & they're both hilarious❤️🔥🤘🏿
I love the clean vocals Courtney has been adding in these three latest tracks. She could do an entire song without screaming and I wouldn't mind a bit. Also the tracks them self have such a nice groove. I feel like the groovey metal, not saying they're following it but, has become the thing lately. I love Gojira for the same reason that I love Spiritbox that they don't seem to be afraid to try new stuff. I love bands where I can listen to their songs and be like, oh this is this, or this is that song, rather quickly. They all have a very specific sound. I hate listening to an album and I can't differentiate more than like two songs from the rest because it sounds all the same. Great interview. Love this.
"She could do an entire song without screaming and I wouldn't mind a bit" When's the last time you listened to Spiritbox? They have very many songs like that. The Summit (technically) has no screaming, neither does Eternal Blue, neither does Secret Garden, neither does Sew Me Up, neither does Constance, neither does Strange World.
Got lots of love and respect for Courtney. Her and her husband's band are really something. I agree with her assessment with the latest Rotoscope track they put out. Does have that similar Korn sound, but with their own twist on it.
hmmm didnt know this channel existed but anything courtney laplante pops up on my feeds… so we’ll sub since shes here… and see where your channel takes us for here… 🤘🏻😜
Spirit box is in the driver's seat to show the metal scene how to be successful, Courtney and the band have the formula. But, shying away from headline will cost you.... I agree 1-3 ep. Then record, is setting the stage for today's industry... But as popular as they are and shying away from while there opening a tour headline a tour in-between can lead them to being top of the game....
Ya know you're getting old when a couple of metalheads interview the lead singer of one of the best metal(ish) bands today and the first thing they talk about is... the weather.
Nothing that horrible is going to happen in our lifetimes, mate. "Climate change" has been happening for a long time, and every new year we act like we don't remember how it was the year before and how we're all about to float out to the ocean or die in raging infernos the world over. We're fine, besides....We're about 100 years too late to save the Earth.
It makes sense that being a vocalist you have to be physically fit.. But then there's Brendan Murphy that his only routine is vaping and drinking and he does just as well 😂😂😂
I get what she means about fans some people say "after a few listens it's now on replay" like we don't give up on them so easily even if it's not our favorite song it's still so good
Yesss. Rotoscope didn't connect with me at first but I saw all the excitement from other fans and gave it another few listens. Now it's like background music in my head, I listen to it so often and love it. One of the few songs I'll happily listen to on repeat.
@@noaburr I'll never understand how they listened to all 3 of those songs multiple times, talked it over, started marketing....And Rotoscope is what they chose as the headliner of the EP.
Courtney, since you technically asked for it...I did not dig Rotoscope, not even slightly. Whereas Sew Me Up and Hysteria were incredible. I count myself as a fan since I like more than 2 songs on every release you have, and have you in my regular rotation of playlists. I also got Eternal Blue the day it released (might've even pre-ordered) I'm also the proud owner of 2 identical "Hurt You" shirts (I want more but your merch prices are fucking insaaaaane here in AU I'm talking like almost $100 for a t-shirt) The thing is, for the most-part, you are still making the music I really love to listen to, so I'm still listening. That might change one day, doesn't mean I don't still love what you've given us so-far. Rotoscope isn't the kinda music I want from Spiritbox, which is fine, the band doesn't exist for me.
She is such a beast on stage yet such a genuine and down to earth individual. Mad respect for this woman.
It's usually like that. The less talent some artist has, the more spoiled brat he/she is.
She is pure class

You must be incredibly proud! So glad to hear she’s kept grounded and supported by everyone. We are big fans!
Harper's great. You guys must be proud.

Glad to hear you had such a positive experience with them!
She says that Spiritbox is a "guest" along for the ride for Ghost and Mastodon. I bought tickets to that show SPECIFICALLY for Spiritbox!!!
Came here to say the EXACT same thing!!
😭 I found out about Spiritbox a year too late for that tour.
same thing with knotfest 23 lol
Best artists in the scene right now. Still have eternal blue on repeat. God I can’t wait for more releases man
You guys killing it with the interviews lately! Can’t wait to hear this one.
We’re trying!
I always think her speaking voice is so far from her singing voice. She’s bloody awesome. Thanks for this fab interview ❤️

Finallyyyyyy! I always hoped this would happen since the day you guys started doing interviews and here it is!! I know it's gonna be a good time.
You may not be the headliner of that upcoming show but you will still have fans coming to that show strictly to see yall.
Yup just like it happened in their last tour here in the states. A ton of people showed up for spiritbox. I was very surprised. It almost felt like they were headlining that tour 🤣
They are taking over! Lol
I always tell myself every show I go to that every band is someone's favorite band.

Great interview! She's the absolute best. Could listen to another hour of this!
Oh my god you got to interview Courtney! She's incredible! loved Eternal Blue and the new Rotoscope EP
Thank you!
That was a very organic interview. Seem like y’all clicked all the way through.
I think I'm speaking for the WHOLE of Wales, UK here. We are excited for this!
I am beyond excited for this one!!!
Congrats getting to interview this amazingly talented beautiful iconic queen! 🥹🖤 Awesome work guys!
Shes so awesome such a awesome human and so freaking talented
She does not need to worry about people not liking the band. As a fan of all three bands and liver of every song all 3 bands write.
Tickets bought for the Spiritbox show in Bangor Maine. Along with Mastodon and Ghost. So stoked Let’s Go. Congrats on the interview. Great job guys.

We were at the gig she hurt her ankle and we had no idea. Such a pro, performance on point!
I love Courtney knows where the band is at currently and is super comfortable with it because i think that keeps the band really humble and connected to their fans, but to all of us spiritbox are just getting better and better!
I have already liked this haha. Amazing. Tell her I will literally pay for their flights here to perform. Literally...
🤣🤣
Really? Literally? Have you set something up?
That's a bold contract there.
@@needfoolthings luckily they maybe kind of sort of soon or never be coming here. But the offer is there. I have no idea how to arrange a headline show but I can get them all here... that's a start haha! Roche Estate please!
I love when huge artists are such chill human beings haha. Again, can't wait for the next interview, love these 🤘🏻

Great interview! Love me some Courtney!!! This one has been a long time coming.
Omg that's so cool you got to sit down and chat with her!! Awesome interview guys 👏
Thanks!

Thank you!
Great work as usual, boys! Love interviews like this that just feel like a chat between friends
Cheers!
Jesus, you guys are doing mad things! Will be back for this one later.
Got lots of love and respect for Courtney. Her and her husband's band are really something. I agree with her assessment with the latest Rotoscope track they put out. Does have that similar Korn sound, but with their own twist on it.
I reckon it’s like a fusion of Korn, Billie Eilish starting beat and production and very Grabage influenced. Heavily influenced by Garbage.
More like the band Garbage and NIN. Sew Me Up sounds a lot like Untouchables era KORN.
I also have to say you 2 are the coolest! Keep doing great material for us!! You are killing it!
Thank you!

I love Spiritbox...soooo different....absolutly brilliant..

See you in Portland in October Courtney!

Ah man, that Australia tease at the end. So keen for that news to drop.

Slowly Slowly (seeing them ssssssooooon)
Spiritbox
Go on guys, spiritbox is the shit 🤘
Great interview with a vocalist genius. How about getting the guitar genius from the same band on as well?
Courtney La Plante played Rugby! what a take away .......

I'm driving over 5 hours to see Spiritbox on the Ghost tour. I like Ghost and Mastodon a lot, but I'm not driving over 5 hours to see them.
So glad to tune in to listen to talk about global warming lol
