"The value of the property should collapse to the utility value and not carry the monetary premium." Love this insight, don't trade winners for losers. Such a high quality content with so many interesting ideas and explanations. Thank you for this awesome episode.
In Austrian speak or in Mengers’ principle of economics book, he talks about use-value vs exchange-value. Hard money has both high use-value and high exchange value while soft ones i.e homes should have high use-value and low exchange value because they’re consumption goods. This episode is phenomenal. Especially his analog map vs digital maps analogy. It’s quite interesting considering there’s a show on Netflix called “billion dollar code” it’s about a German company that invented google maps in the 90s a decade before google did and these German guys even predicted most of the features we’ve come to like about google maps today. And that’s what Saylor just broke down for us.
Interesting. This is the only point I have ever potentially disagreed on with Michael. Assuming that humans will continue to seek comfort and status property will forever have a premium attached to it. Utility value collapse scenario is likely going to happen if humans become robots and don’t attached meaning to beautiful things anymore. I.e. if art dies. Quite unlikely. Any thoughts ?

I guess I was leaning towards revolution until today. He whipped my head around to a decisive change for evolution for everyone. Peter, once again you nailed a great interview and I am grateful to the both of you!!
And to add one more observation, these kinds of interviews with Michael also helps Michael as they act as a sounding board for him to formulate his ideas and metaphors. His mind really works very fast but still needs to hear his ideas to perfect them. I’ve seen many of these ideas develop and get perfected over many interviews. So credit is also due in spades to you Peter for arranging this session and sitting through a long period without saying much. Thank you.

Michael Saylor is Iconic!💯😇🙏The Beginning 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day. 6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning-the third day. 14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning-the fourth day. 20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning-the fifth day. 24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day. #Bitcoin
Please do another interview. Round 2. Loved your questions loved listening to Michael Saylor. Well done. You clarified some of Michaels thoughts for me
I really appreciate being able to listen to Michael speak his insights about aspects of the business world i have no idea about. It's fascinating and enlightening. I do hope you get to do that 'another' interview Peter, where you can ask questions more. I think everybody wants to hear Michael speak about the types of questions you would ask that we all want to hear his opinion on. Go for that 2nd interview! Cheers both of you!
I am so captivated by Mr. Saylor's intelligence, knowledge and sense of reasoning about things, it makes me realize there so much to learn and it is a joy to listen to these interviews. Thanks for the interview Peter!
I just listened to the whole thing for a second time… it’s even better than the first time. Especially the last parts… It’s hard to absorb everything the first time especially towards the end when one tends to get tired or distracted and excited with all the things you hear in the first parts by the time you get there…. So definitely worth watching again and again. Whew. It’s truly amazing subject and powerful powerful powerful.

Love your podcast Pete, and I loved Michael in this one. In the presence of Bitcoiners a certain relaxed depth begins to emerge. Really enjoyed it, especially his remarks on his Twitter approach at the end. I too have things to ponder and an approach to rework. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next one, with him, and otherwise. 🤙🏽🍻
I'm all for everything that Michael Saylor says, it makes complete sense. When he's talking about the digital hotel bit at 50:00, the only difference is though that although with the real physical hotel you'd have expenses which with the digital investment equivalent (BTC) you wouldn't, you also wouldn't have the yield that a real hotel would produce either. If only there was a way to get a 4 to 6% yield per annum on your Bitcoin as well, just how real estate or a hotel would get you. Safely too, I don't mean getting the yield through an imploding company like BlockFi or Celsius.
Time well invested. Thanks and respect to both of these educators. The points made on Bitcoiners helping to educate those new to the space and to be constructive in our interactions in different forums are valuable. Duly Noted. We can change the world for the better one day and one person at a time.

Errbody gangsta until someone whips out vector calculus.
As a newbie in her 50's who only started buying crypto this year this actually made sense to me. The pennies started to drop! Thankyou so much
Love your podcast Pete, and I loved Michael in this one. In the presence of Bitcoiners a certain relaxed depth begins to emerge. Really enjoyed it, especially his remarks on his Twitter approach at the end. I too have things to ponder and an approach to rework. Thanks again. Looking forward to the next one, with him, and otherwise.

Extraordinary explanations what Bitcoin is as always!
Thank you for this it is great keep spreading the news.
Great interview. I can name a person who was spent over 100hrs studying bitcoin and is critical of it: Nassim Taleb.
How long does Saylor spend on meditation per day? He is like a next level human compiler. Amazing to hear that thoughts from him. Thanks again.
Good conversation. Have a discussion with Michael again please!
Just put a camera on Michael and let him talk. My IQ increased 20 points and all I did was click the video
A daily dose of Michael heals any crypto mind.
Captain Saylor! Thanks guys!
Absolutely brilliant... this interview is GOLD (Ooops... i meant its absolutely BITCOIN) 🏆🏆🏆
Time well invested. Thanks and respect to both of these educators. The points made on Bitcoiners helping to educate those new to the space and to be constructive in our interactions in different forums are valuable. Duly Noted. We can change the world for the better one day and one person at a time.
