I just came across your videos and I am so inspired by you and your rationality. Like over consumerism is the main cause of people (mainly in the black race) to be in debt, live in lack, or never escape poverty.
Ikr, social media has definitely made things so much worse. We’ve normalised having a whole wall for perfurmes for example. It’s okay for some influencers who get sent lots of free stuff or people who genuinely have a passion for it but non-influencers trying to keep up with these trends is definitely a financial red flag

Hearing you say we (South Africans) have the best water rating in the world.... has me gobsmacked. Like how bad is the water in the taps in the world then
Dubai’s water is not reccomended for drinking, some people don’t even use it for cooking - that’s how bad 🥲 You’ll need a water filter or just drink bottled water. It also causes a lot of peoples hair to fall out, to feel sick, bloating, acne etc

I used to think this way but I’ve been travelling full-time for the past 4 years and have so many home-bases I can always go back to for a month-3 months if I wanted to. When you start travelling, especially slow travel, you start to fall in love with places all over the world 🥹.

How did you become a non resident in the uk , I thought you had a British passport and British citizenship?
Sorry if my question seems confusing.
You become a non-resident when you don’t live there, I’m still a citizen with a British passport. But not claiming residency has benefits for example in relation to taxation on income
I know you're not a financial advisor but I'd love your input. I'm a British expat, have lived in Australia & now living in Canada. I left Australia a year ago, and my bank account is still open with a good lump sum sat in it. I've just not bothered to do anything with it, which as I become more financially literate I realise its the worst decision to let it just sit there.
Do you have any advice or any of your videos that could point me in the right direction? I invest in stocks in the UK, so maybe thinking of doing the same with that money. Luckily I don't actually need it, so I'm looking to let it grow

I've just been watching her for years & similarly have lived across 3 countries, so commented on this vid as someone I've watched for yonks who has done a similar thing. What do they mean you're a non-resident in the UK? Aren't you from there?
I believe she's Nigerian but also has UK citizenship, if you spend a certain time living elsewhere (more that 6months), you are non-resident for tax purposes
I am but I’m not residing there atm, hence citizen but non-resident
Okay, that makes sense. I knew the "non-resident" thing for tax purposes. Didn't know it affected buying property as well

You can use data roaming on your usual sim but it’s expensive

Great vlog. Pls do more. Also might some down time scheduled into your days be beneficial? That looks like literally scheduling a block of 'Do-nothing' ... this is crucial for recharging, energy recalibration and health. Your body and mind's only downtime def should not be when sleeping, we all need conscious (awake) rest time. Lastly get them noodle things and that apple juice out your diet and drink googabs more water. I'm aware you attributed your fatigue to monthly however that doesnt appear to be the only reason, imho.... Wishing you health and wealth 👍 😊

If the pros don’t outweigh the cons for you don’t do it, there’ll be other countries that might suit you better

Lamide, so you didn’t already get a UAE golden visa? I think it would be highly beneficial in terms of mobility, taxes and paperwork. Why didn’t you consider it yet? I’m very curious to know what are the pros and cons for you to consider or not the UAE Golden Visa.
