    Very inspiring story, but before everyone jumps out the window, use your discernment. She invested in Tesla in late 2019 and had 125,000 people in classes a year later. She was selling classes before she made the 2 million. The money is from the classes, and she invested it. She didn't make strictly from investing 5k and then 5 more.

      Putting your money into the stock market to work for you is not a bad idea. But I would only use low cost index funds. They track the broader stock market and if you reinvest the dividends you are pretty much guaranteed to beat the market every year (whether it goes up or down). Over time the law of compound returns makes this the best way to invest. It also gives you instant diversification and shields you from many of the risks involved in stock picking. HOWEVER, one should never put money in the stock market you might need in the near to intermediate future. That kind of money should be in cash or high quality bonds.

    Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. I'm talking 6 - 12 months savings. Your emergency savings is your 1st investment. Your 2nd investment should be a house and your approach should be to pay it off asap. Your 3nd investment is your employer's 401K if they match. Once your house is paid off and you have a 529 plan for your kids education, then you can play with robin hood.

      Get an index fund if you're too hesitant to buy stocks. Or you could do both. They both have there advantages but if you want to be more on the safe side and conservative then a low cost index fund or etf is the way to go. Growing your money is all about consistency and discipline. You gotta save and invest consistently every month to see results. There's never a wrong or right time to invest. They key thing is to buy low and sell high or at least buy low and save the dividends asap. The market is like a roller coaster. It goes up and down over the years just like in life. If you're not willing to keep a stock for at least 5 to 10 years then you probably shouldn't be buying them in the first place. There is no fast way to build wealth unfortunately so patience, time and a little luck in picking the right companies is ideal. Some companies are way better than others while others can be more volatile going up and down. Some companies slash there dividends while others initiate stock splits. It's all about doing your research and reading tons of articles on money and investing. When you attain more experience owning stocks then it gets a little easier for you to decide whether you should buy a particular company or not but tbh it's best to just own maybe 100 shares of each company that has a track record of performing well just to have a diverse portfolio of stocks and be more on the safe side. Not everyone can pick stocks like Warren Buffett or other investing experts so it's best to either have an index fund or lots of high quality stocks in your portfolio in different sectors so you won't take on the risk of losing lots of money. I've found that the main reason to buy stocks is to save the dividends and the main reason to invest is to save. It took me a while to realize this because I was ignorant at first but truly there really is no other reason. The more money you have saved early on the better off you will be long term. When the shares you own go up and you reach a huge gain then it may be best to sell and save that money. When you earn $50 in dividends it would be best to save that money every 3 months the company pays it out. The main goal is to just save as often as possible to increase your networth. You want to collect as much money in the market as you can and investing helps you do this. It's pretty hard to do this without investing in stocks or an index fund plus you can only save so much money with your job income without investing. People who do well with there money have a disciplined mindset. They save and invest every month of there life no matter what. They save as much money as possible on a monthly basis and invest every month. They make sure to pay themselves first. You should be saving and investing just as often as you pay your rent, buy food, pay your netflix and gym membership, drive your car to the store, etc. It should just be mandatory not every now and then. Once you fix your mindset about money you will understand how to be better with it. It's all about time in the market and how much money you are consistently saving when you get a job. When you do both of these together you will be way better off than most people who always complain about money problems.

    I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. That mindset helped me make more money investing. For example last year I invested 80k in stocks and made about $246k, but guess what? I put it all back and traded again and now I am rounding up close to a million.

    Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. So they condescend to discourage you not knowing it was only going to bring you further into your gifts and wisdom. The passion speaks loudly and I’m grateful to hear your story.

      @@tahntalus it’s in every industry that I’ve experienced. You have blacks who love being the only one sitting at the table and don’t make any opportunities for those they feel threatened by. I’m not talking about low class unmotivated people I’m talking about people whose talents are on par or above theirs. For example, many men don’t want to see a beautiful woman get real money with their minds. It’s just too much power for some to accept. Or even see a younger more charismatic and likable man come up. I applaud those who aren’t threatened who are actual queen and king makers. But to be real, I’ve only seen those people on TV and I’ve worked around some very successful, popular, powerful people.

      Robert Smith is always willing to through his arms, money and time to black upcoming platforms. You constantly see him on even small platforms giving interviews and answering question. Melody Hobson and the whole Ariel Company the same.
      Dont you think it’s quite ironic that neither has, partnered with, donate to or embraced this cause? Vista Equity Partners directly sponsor a platform that teaches investing to minority girls then creates onramps for them to have internships with Vista. So its clearly a cause Robert cares about. But he’s made no connection with this one.

    It would be helpful if Forbes did a follow-up interview with Tiffany and asked her HOW she actually turned 10k into 7 million. The title of this interview was misleading/click-bait. I had to go to Tiffany's website, and that's where I found out that she offers courses on options trading. That's a really important point because options trading can be very profitable, but if you buy the wrong type of option (puts, for example), they are highly risky.

    • @laprimo21
      @laprimo21 12 дней назад

      Yours is a key point. The title sets us up for disappointment by suggesting that we might learn about how someone turned $10k into $7M; that's not really what this interview is about, despite it being presented that way.
      There are other useful bits to take from this interview (perseverance, the power of networking and mentorship, finding what your gifts are and leveraging them to succeed in spite of people who don't believe in you). But, I hope everyone does their due diligence before making investment decisions, because your results may vary.

It undercut my dad's business; he was a milkman and grocer, who delivered only, the way people did in those days. Some of his colleagues were still able to sell their business, but my dad may have waited too long and had to quit, then take a job.
