- My wife and I drove by this property and saw that it really needed cleaned up. So I knocked on the door to offer to edge and mow it for free. The homeowner has had a recent ankle injury and hasn't been able to keep up with it. So, I transformed it for him and he was completely stunned with the result!

Idk it could be that reaction wasn't that great, but I respect not showing it. I see too often some reactions of people getting help and they're so vulnerable and overcome with emotion. I respect if that's being kept between him and the owner on purpose.

One of the things I like about you is that you don't blow or shovel the waste into the neighbors yard and make it their problem. I wish all landscapers were as thoughtful as you.

This literally makes me cry. I did this kinda work for 25 yrs. Due to getting older and health problems I can no longer do this work. Makes me very sad. You do great work Spencer. Thank you.

Now when I see guys working hard it really bothers me and makes me cry because I just can’t do it anymore. I guess it was my work ethic instilled by my parents. Getting old really stinks. Very difficult to cope with.

Spencer my husband and I ran across your RUclips channel recently and we are hooked. We love watching your channel and I have been inspired. There are a few older people in our neighborhoods in apartments that needs help. I knocked on the door and asked if I could weed and clean up their front yard and sidewalks for free. @Lubomir Radev Well the house looks a lot better for it. It's not so much that the grass was long, but it being overgrown on the edges, into the sidewalk, road etc - it's that which makes it look a mess more than anything.
@Lubomir Radev well the grass was very overgrown and if he hadn't come and cut it, it probably would have started fully covering the sidewalks because I did notice that he had to cut some grass off of the edge because it was growing so much

@evelym Oh, please. You're the type to complain about plastic bag usage while eating a bag of potato chips or opening a container of literally anything. There are 10x worse plastics than biodegradable plastic bags. Recycled bags are the least of our worries.
This is probably the weirdest thing I have ever written in a comment but I just love watching your curb work. I will even rewind and go back sometimes to watch it again...lol! I did that today with the mailbox area. You not only made this better for the homeowner but for the entire neighborhood. You have such a big heart and I enjoy watching your efforts so much! You absolutely take pride in your work and create a masterpiece with these lawns. @@westaussie965 Many subdivisions have mailboxes in a bank like that, much like apartment complexes. I believe that is the case here.
@@debgalloway1398 as a mailman you are correct! That is 29 boxes or slots for 29 homes. A lot of new developments have them now. The huge one at the bottom is for parcels.

In all my years of watching RUclips I can honestly say I have never sat back and watched an entire lawn cutting video from start to finish, until today. This was so satisfying to watch! This was a wonderful good deed and the job was amazing! I’m subscribed to this page now!
You do excellent work. People need to re-think buying a house on the corner. The majority of these lawn makeovers are corner lots. Pay close attention to stairs, sidewalks, and size of the yard, and then think about when you are much older living there.
Corner lots are so much more to maintain! Especially the edges.
That's the number one thing I've learned watching these videos ... don't buy a corner property.
Also, if you don’t have a privacy fence, as this house does, you essentially have 2 front yards.
The advantage of a corner lot is one less neighbor. The disadvantage is the need for a high fence and twice the sidewalk to maintain in the summer and shovel snow in the winter.
A person doesn't think of that when they are young I bought my house in my early thirties but now am approaching eighty. Have broken to many bones. It's much harder keeping up. But still love but have cut down to potten plants. Which makes me a little sad

I always think the same thing. And owning a corner lot usually means more property taxes!

You gave meaning to the words "CURB APPEAL"! You put you heart and soul into that property and you became one with each machine you used. I hope that man appreciated the effort you put into your work. The property looks amazing. My only suggestion is that the owner repairs his fence, especially since he is the proud owner of that magnificent German Shepherd! It would add to the curb appeal of that corner lot, too. Can I point out the amazing amount of time that you put into making these videos? Not only the physical labor but every angle of you working, all the cuts to new angles, every time that camera moves you and or your wife have had to have a hand in all that entails and it is amazing to me. I think that the BEST thing thar you do, Spencer, is show people that GOOD exists in the world. Yes, of course you help the homeowner/renter keep a tidy lawn. Yes, you care about not throwing the cuttings into the street or neighbor's property. Yes, you try to find the home's owner before starting, but even the people receiving your help can't believe how generous you are. Thank you, sir, for doing this good, and showing it to the world.
What wonderful work you do!! Going to check out that mower. This 62 year old woman just purchased a new home with a GIGANTIC yard...so silly! I could use one of these because the two mows I was able to get in before winter took me all day! You make it look so easy!

I just discovered you this morning and the work you do is so good. It reminds me of when I used to landscaping with a friend of mine in highschool. We used to do the lawn for this kind, but private old couple near his house every other week (because they were on a fixed income and couldn't afford it every week). When the wife died suddenly and unexpectedly the husband said he could no longer afford to pay us due to the loss of money. We kept doing it though every other week for two years until he passed and the house was sold. When he asked us about it we said "oh, force of habit." Everyone deserves to live in a nice clean place, and it was immensely satisfying helping make the community a better place for everyone.
