Coming from a saints fan, I would rather see the Saints lose a game over a good call on the officials part than I would see the Saints winning a game because of a blown call. The point of the rule in my opinion is to make the game a more accurate showcase of both teams abilities to ensure that whichever team is the victor wins fairly, and I am truly excited to see how this rule plays out.
Mr Smarty Pants I think there could be rules implemented just for playoff games. It’s stupid that teams miss a super bowl because of a blatant bad call.
Toribio Romo I don’t think Pittsburgh would have gone anywhere, but you could argue that they missed their chance to push for the super bowl because of an awful call, so
Brayden Lawson Actually, If a team challenges two calls and gets them both right they get their flags back, so there can be more than two challenges per game per team.
Brayden Lawson people act like the saints lost solely because of the no call. They could have stopped the rams from driving down the entire field and tying the game. They could have won the game in overtime by scoring first. Or they could have won the game by stopping the rams from scoring in overtime. The best part about the rule is that it if it was a thing the saints wouldn’t have even been the one seed.

You all said something needs to be done to make sure the right team goes to the Superbowl and you even picked the Saints to go to the Superbowl if I remember correctly (selling your stock on the Rams perhaps?) 2. The PI call against the Steelers was is in the first quarter with the score 0-7. Yet you talk as if that call decided the whole game 3. You talk as if the league favours the Saints and has always done... wrong 4. There are two Elite receivers in the division Jones and Evans not 18 as you eluded to. 5. With our "shoddy" corners we won the division and had the best record in the NFC and went to the NFC title game.
Saints have the best corners in the nfc south and its not close lmfao this is like when u said the raptors have no bench. Shows how little u actually watch games.
I wrote this elsewhere but short version .Have a Official Ref Sit in the camera room with the editor that let us enjoy every the games we see . If you watch games like i do you know we see at least 3 different angles of the play before the next play even happens .So that Ref having the advantage to ask one of the editors to play back the last play he can quickly make a decision that wont cause us any time wasted waiting for the ref on the field to go into that review booth . i think this Ref could handle all big plays faster even the red challenge flag review should go straight to the Ref in the camera room . the on field ref will still have a job to do but just take the replay parts and hand it over to "Camera Ref"
The PI review wasn't just an emotional reactionary change, people have been calling for this for years and this was the breaking point, and the saints still would've been the 1 seed because they wouldn't have played backups in Carolina week 17
In reference to the replay rules. It's not one or the other. IT'S BOTH. Invest in better training for FULL TIME officials, AND have the PI calls challengeable for when, not if, the officials miss a call.
james frazier one corner doesn’t make a secondary, the falcons have a really good starting corner and they were one of the worst in the league last year
I'm not saying it's perfect, but we dont have terrible corners and defense like he's trying to make it seem. #1 rush defense almost, if not, all year. We could improve on our pass defense.. but us being 9-7 next year? We haven't even lost that many people this offseason. We even added some talent at TE for another weapon. I just can't see us NOT making at least the playoffs with the lowest a 10-6 or 11-5 record next year.
The best corner in the NFC South is James Bradberry who held Julio to a total of 9 rec 92 yards, Mike Evans to 6 rec for 64 yards, & Michael Thomas 12 rec for 78 yards. And he's allowed one of the lowest catch rate in the league
we're getting a point where eventually all plays will be reviewable. I know it will slow down a game, but as a fan I'm all for it, especially the pass interference calls because a call/no call can really change the outcome of a game. I want the calls to be right. Or at least looked at even if there isn't enough evidence to overturn
Biggest issue with PI being reviewable, is how strict are they going to get with it? arm posturing technically is PI, trapping of arm is even more PI, or maybe just blatant hits/shoves before the ball even gets there? Because if it's just the later that is one thing, if it's the former 2, those are things that receivers can easily maneuver into position to get penalties called.
As a Bills fan originally at the draft last year I was hoping between Allen and Rosen Buffalo would draft Rosen, but they went with the "unsafe" pick, I'll stick with my team no matter what but I hope Rosen does well and that the rumors Arizona is going to trade him after only 1 year isn't true
Hate how they have to always choose a side, Educating officials and having more options on what you can challenge aren’t mutually exclusive. You can do both, take your own advice and not be so emotional.
About SB53. The situation you're talking about happened with the score 13-3 in NE favor. If Rams get the call and score that's still 13-10 NE with under 2 mins to go. You're talking recovering a kick - iffy proposition to begin with and driving 60+ yards for a field goal to send it into OT.
honestly i don't like the challengable PI to begin with bc it just seems so tedious. but the point he made with the Hail Mary didn't even cross my mind yet. that's seriously a huge game changer, albeit they don't usually occur until the last seconds of a half where challenges aren't valid... i could see somebody on a 2nd or 3rd down right before the warning going deep in hopes of relying on either the challenge or a completion. brings in a bogus aspect of strategy into the scenario
same thing i aside when the saints complained and talked about how the rams had no character for going along with the PI call. when they benefited from a horrible PI call against the steelers I saw no one on the saints sideline trying to convince the refs that it was the wrong call.
This is the NFL if you can’t take it you shouldn’t be there... Rosen’s self esteem hurt? Please... He took a beating last year behind AZ OL and didn’t complain once.
Look at the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers I think in 98 when Terrell Owens court that last touchdown here rice fumbled the ball Green Bay should have won that game
The new rule is really stupid. What should be done is allow coaches a certain amount of challenges for penalty calls, and also keep the current challenges for non penalty calls. For instance. In the argument of the PI call in the Saints game, Sean Peyton would be able to call a challenge for the PI call and get it over turned accordingly. Coaches should get a few of these a game imo.
Most cardnials fans I've talked too are backing rosen. The people that watched every minute of every game rosen played were impressed by rosen and know there was no way to he could have succeeded. And actually colin, the cardnials have sold out every game since 2006.
I don't see the big deal in waiting an extra minute to get the call right. These blind refs over the last few years have changed history of the sport. Hail Marys happen about 4-5x a year so that argument is pretty irrelevant. Also if the saints/steelers penalty is thrown & the saints happen to lose that game they would've just not rested their starters in week 17 vs. the Panthers. Seeding would've been the same
Jimmi Stepanik as a Pittsburgh fan it pisses me off cause we'd have been in the playoffs which sucks cause I think we'd have gone deep into the playoffs this year
There are several blue chip prospects in this draft. There is a franchise DT that is every bit as good as Aaron Donald (Ed Oliver), there is a nose tackle that is as good as Haloti Naga in his prime (Quinnen Williams), there is a premier pass rushing 4-3 end in Nick Bosa, there is a Von Miller type outside linebacker (Josh Allen), there is a Calvin Johnson franchise WR (DK Metcalf), and a left tackle that is just like Willie Anderson (Jonah Williams). In addition to that there are dozens of above average/star players littered all throughout the first and second round. There is one franchise QB in this draft and his name isn’t Kyler Murray. It isn’t Dwayne Haskins either. It’s Drew Lock. If they take Kyler Murray with the first pick with the holes on their roster, they are insane.
That was a terrible analogy. This isn't the only time lack of replay effected a critical moment in a game. What could go wrong with trying to get plays right? It's literally something ppl been asking for a long time.
I get that I had replays of it but when the no call happened everyone in the room knew it was blatant pass interference, there were two refs literally right there and it still didn’t get called so idk where they’re finding these guys who can’t make a call that obvious and blatant
Should the Cardinals move on from Josh Rosen and draft Kyler Murray?
Yes:
- Rosen's ceiling is a middle tier starting QB, the kind that can be good with the right supporting cast but won't win much without them.
- Murray's ceiling is a top 10 or even top 5/6 QB, the kind that can be transcendent and elevate the entire team around them.

LarryKing apart from Lattimore there corners are trash. And please don’t say Eli Apple or PJ Williams.
All I know is that this is going to be one of the most anticipated 1st Rd drafts 😳
"Arizona doesnt sellout all their games". BS, every game sold out since 2006
95.4% ticket sales, but that's still good, to be fair.
The PI review wasn't just an emotional reactionary change, people have been calling for this for years and this was the breaking point, and the saints still would've been the 1 seed because they wouldn't have played backups in Carolina week 17
Possibly the worst rule change of all time. Going to ruin games big time like he said every pass can be PI
In reference to the replay rules. It's not one or the other. IT'S BOTH. Invest in better training for FULL TIME officials, AND have the PI calls challengeable for when, not if, the officials miss a call.
Lattimore was defensive rookie of the year my dude.. hes a good corner, if not the best in the NFC South.
james frazier one corner doesn’t make a secondary, the falcons have a really good starting corner and they were one of the worst in the league last year
I'm not saying it's perfect, but we dont have terrible corners and defense like he's trying to make it seem.
Monnie_ Ace I don’t think he’s the best but definitely a highly underrated CB and a top 3 but you definitely could make a case for him being #1
Oh this is that dude that got shut down by Baker Mayfield.
I can't believe I ever like this guy!! Listening to him is more like being sent to see a Counselor than listening to sports talk.
we're getting a point where eventually all plays will be reviewable. I know it will slow down a game, but as a fan I'm all for it, especially the pass interference calls because a call/no call can really change the outcome of a game. I want the calls to be right. Or at least looked at even if there isn't enough evidence to overturn
I don’t want to hear “proper officiating” making sure they know what pass interference is. 3 refs were looking at it. They knew what it was.
Your logic is blowing my mind right now.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with everything he said.
No he's talking about the play that happened with 4:30 left right after the Pats scored. It was 10-3
And here I was hoping the Dolphins would try for him
honestly i don't like the challengable PI to begin with bc it just seems so tedious. but the point he made with the Hail Mary didn't even cross my mind yet. that's seriously a huge game changer, albeit they don't usually occur until the last seconds of a half where challenges aren't valid... i could see somebody on a 2nd or 3rd down right before the warning going deep in hopes of relying on either the challenge or a completion. brings in a bogus aspect of strategy into the scenario
Woah...did he just say the saints have the worst corners in the division? Yikes.....I’d love Lattimore down here
Dang...he started paying mortgage at age 5? Legend.
same thing i aside when the saints complained and talked about how the rams had no character for going along with the PI call. when they benefited from a horrible PI call against the steelers I saw no one on the saints sideline trying to convince the refs that it was the wrong call.
I can't get enough of the divorce analogies
What about the 2014 NFC Wildcard between the Lions and the Cowboys? Everyone seems to forget the PI call that got picked up.
Why is it bad the NFL is more fair now?
Right?
This is the NFL if you can’t take it you shouldn’t be there... Rosen’s self esteem hurt? Please... He took a beating last year behind AZ OL and didn’t complain once.
If Rosen goes to New England, he'll be a top 5 QB
I dont think Belichiek could save him
@@kvngirvng9475 its only been 1 year, he had a terrible o line, a lot of good qb's had terrible rookie years
@@kathykelly5930 and plenty of bad qbs have terrible careers the point is
@@kvngirvng9475 we'll see, I thought he was the best pocket passer in the draft in a while
Look at the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers I think in 98 when Terrell Owens court that last touchdown here rice fumbled the ball Green Bay should have won that game
So did Colin just admit that he’s flirting with other women in private😂
@vandrs at least he didn’t dive deep into a divorce analogy
Imagine thinking that the Saints have the worst corners in their division 😂
Wym I’m a cardinals fan and we still be selling out all our home games even tho we’re garbage rn lol
Seeding would've been the same
Jimmi Stepanik as a Pittsburgh fan it pisses me off cause we'd have been in the playoffs which sucks cause I think we'd have gone deep into the playoffs this year
Steelers fan! For that exact reason (Steelers v Saints game) I don’t feel bad for Saints fans
I think the nfl made a right decision, they made the pass interference rule last only a year and if it’s a good rule it stays
It’s weird I could have swore he would have mentioned how much he hates Russell Westbrook when discussing Rosen. Lol.
That was a terrible analogy. This isn't the only time lack of replay effected a critical moment in a game. What could go wrong with trying to get plays right? It's literally something ppl been asking for a long time.
9:15 Did they photoshop Kliffs head on someone elses body? lmao
When Colin says he can “confirm one of those teams (LAC, NE, NYG) has offered a 2nd round pick”, he’s talking about the Chargers lol
I get that I had replays of it but when the no call happened everyone in the room knew it was blatant pass interference, there were two refs literally right there and it still didn’t get called so idk where they’re finding these guys who can’t make a call that obvious and blatant
